Danielle's Prov:
Being with Luke is like being with someone who knows me completely. When we were in the car the conversation flowed easily. Nothing about the situation was awakward, I could feel my nerousness leaving my body.
Before I knew it the car stopped. "Were here." Luke said to me as he put the car in park. He got out of the car and walked over to my side. He opened the door for me and helped me out.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome beautiful." He said to me as he shut the door. He went to the back of the truck and got out a picknic blanket and a basket. He came over to where I was waiting for him, and grabbed my hand. I was so caught up in Luke that I didn't even notice where we were. I took a good look around. We were at a lake. It was absoultely beautiful. He lead me over to where we were completely surronded by tears, in an exculded area. He let go of my hand to spread out the blanket.
After he was done he sat down and looked up at me. "Are you going to sit down?" I just smiled and nodded my head. I sat down and noticed that Luke shuffled closer to me. "You know we really don't know much about eachother."
He was right about that. There was so many things I didn't know about him. Like why did him and his sister live with my family? What happened to his family? Why is tabby the way she is? Why does he like me? "So what do you think we shoud do about it?" I asked him as I turned to look at him.
"Well, why don't we play truth or truth?"
"I thought it was truth or dare?"
I heard him chuckle. "Well yes oringally that is the game, but there is also a game called truth or truth."
"Okay well how do you play it?"
"Well it's the same as truth and dare, expect there is no dare. It's all truth, you have to answer and question the person your playing with ask, no matter what. You only get one skip. Which means you don't have to answer that one question. But once you use it, you can never use it again. So are you up for it?" He asked me.
"Yeah why not. How about you start." I said to him.
"Okay, why do you push everyone around you away from you?" Wow I wasn't expecting him to ask me that. Well at least not right away. I could use my skip, but that meant I wouldn't be able to say it again.
"Well I have never been able to rely on anyone. I have been alone my whole life. I'm not use to having people care about me. The only perople who did care about me only pretended because they had to." He was about to reply, but I honestly didn't want to hear his response. "So why do you and your sister live with my family?
He looked at me for a while, I honestly thought he wasn't going to response. I was about to tell him he could not asnwer, that we didn't have to play, but he finally spoke up. "My parents were killed a while back. They were close friends with your grandmother and aunt, we were all like family more then anything. Your grandmother was listed as there godmother. So when they died she took us in. We've been with her ever since." I looked over at him to see that he had tears in his eyes. He quickly rbbed his eyes and put a smile on his face.
"Anyway are you planning on staying here with us, or going back to New York?"
"Honestly I don't know what I am going to do. I mean I am really starting to like it here, and honestly the thought of leaving all of you doesn't seem realiztic, but my dream school is in New Yrok. If I really wanted to be a serious writer that is the place where I would want to be. I don't know what I am going to do when the choice comes." I looked over at Luke to notice he had a hard look on his face. I knew he hated when I said I could possibly be moving back to New York, but it was what I always invisions myself doing. Although as of right now I am not a certaina as I was when I first got here.
I didn't want him to be upset, so I changed the subjet to something I have really wanted to know. "Why does Tabby have such bad nightmares?"
"I have to use my skip on this one, because it's only half of my story to tell. One day both me and Tabby will tell you what happened. Please don't be mad."
I couldn't help but smile at him. Why in the world would he think I would be mad at him. "I'm not mad, so does this mean I get to ask you a different question?" He nodded his head at me. "Okay then, tell me why you like me?"
He looked at me and smiled. "Where to I begin? Your different then any girl I have ever met and in the best possible way. You make me feel this way that I don't een think I could explain to you. I have never dated someone before, I mean I didn't sleep around or anything I just never had a relationship or anything. But with you I feel like it just comes natural. When you break down those walls of yours, you show this amazing light. When you smile your literally light up a room. Everything about you is beautiful, from you long curly hair, to those dark brown eyes, down to your amazing curves."
I couldn't believe he was saying things like this to me. He made me feel like a completely different person. I reached up and brought his lips to mine. I don't know where this new found confidence was comming from. I heard him moan loudly as he grabbed me closer. I broke away from his lips to kiss his neck. This must have also been a weak spot for him because he growled loudly and pusehd me onto my back.
He made me gasp at his actions. He started to attack my neck with kisses and love bites. I could feel myself starting to feel a sensation I had never felt before. Being with Luke was always like this, he made me feel things that I had never felt before. Luke started to pull my dress down. This is what pulled me out of my trance. "Luke I need to take things slow." I said to him into his ear.
He stopped moving immidatly and moved to look down at me. "Slow is my middle name." He same to me with a smile. He gave me a quick kiss before he movied off of me. I looked over to notice he had my lip stick all over him. I couldn't help but laugh when I looked at him. He laughed along with me. "How about we enjoy this meal your grandmother made us?" He asked me as he turned to get the basket.
The rest of the date was filled with so much talking and laughing. I honestly have never had more fun in life. Everything about the date was perfect. Maybe to other people it would seem important, but to me it was everything I had ever wanted for a date. That's why I love being with Luke, he was simple and amazing all at once. He didn't try to impress me with this big deal kind of date, instead he brought me somewhere small and sweet. I would never forget today.
As we got home I unbuckled and looked at him. "Incase I didn't say it at all today, I had a really great time Luke." I said to him as I gave him a quick kiss on check. I was about to pull away when he grabbed me back and kiss me on my lips. I was brief, yet amazing.
"It was my pleasure beautiful, this is the first of many though." I couldn't help but smile at what he had said. He honestly was the prefect guy. We both got out of the car and walked into the house holding hands.
"Hey guys how was the date?" My grandmother said to me as she gave us a hug.
"It was great." We both said at the same time.
"Oh please don't tell me you guys are going to be one of those couples who talks at the same time, and finishes each others sentences." Tabby said as she came over to where we were.
I smiled at her words because I hated people who acted like that. It was extremely annoying. "No were definitely not going to be one of those couples." I said to her.
"Well since your done with your date, do you mind if I steal your girlfriend Luke?" Tabby asked him. Wait did she just say girlfriend? I was waiting for him to say that I wasn't his girlfriend, but he never corrected her. Instead he just smiled and nodded. My heart felt like I had a thousand butterflies in it. I couldn't contain the smile that formed on my lips. Luke basically just said I was his girlfriend.
I smiled up at him and gave him kiss on the check. Tabby and I said goodnight to everyone and made our way up the stairs. As Tabby and I went to change into some PJ's all I could think about was maybe New York wasn't an option for me anymore. Maybe I couldn't leave what I was starting here to go back to a life I thought I wanted. Maybe, just maybe Austin Texas was where I belonged.
