John POV
After the end of last chapter...
Or whatever
I was brought to a hospital in Virginia. It was far away from Newyork but near where the car crashed.
According to the doctors I had a hunk of car in my back. It was deep enough that it hit some major arteries and may have even altered the shape of my spine but you know what else is new.
That was a complete bluff I'm scared as hell. I know this isn't the worst part and it's pretty shallow but NO ONE LOOKS BADASS IN A WHEELCHAIR

They found my dad. He's in some sort of a coma or something. I know what y'all are thinking, 'so what he was the worst' but you have to understand. He's my dad. He raised me. He's the one who taught me how to do everything. I don't want him to die!
With dad in his own room and me down the hall unable to walk at the moment, I felt really alone. None of my friend were there. My phone broke. It's all gone to hell.
For the first time in a while I thought about my mom. I mean I think about her every day but I mean really think of her. Was this how she felt when she was in the hospital? So scared that you'll never make it out. That you'll die and no one will be there. I wonder if she felt that.
A nurse walked into my room. She looked familiar and I tried to wrack my brain and try to figure out how I knew her. I mean I only saw the back of her head but something about it reminds me of something.
"Um excuse me but do i-" She cut me off.
"Jack you know your not supposed to talk" that voice... what was it. "The doctor told you not to!" She added with a smile.
Oh my god- I thought when she turned around.
"Mom?"

John POV
"Mom!!!?" This can't be real! It's a trick. My mom can't be here she's-
She just can't be here...
"In the flesh!!" She stopped. "Well not- really but close enough!"
"Are you a ghost or something?" I asked.
"No silly! I'm not even here! I'm in your mind!"
"So- your not real?" I don't know what I expected but I don't know I just really thought I might see her again...
"Don't day that! Just because somethings in your head doesn't make it any less real!" She smiled warmly. My mother sat down on my hospital bed. I felt the bed dip.
"It just feels like your really here" I said holding back tears.
"I am! To you." Mother said while stroking my hair.
"Now enough about me and my questionable existence... how are you?"
"Not that great seeing as i may never walk again and I don't know where my friends are."
"Awww Jacky it's okay! I believe you will walk again."
"Believing something won't make it true. That's what dad says..." I huffed.
"He said what!! UGH HENY I SWEAT IF I WAS ALIVE- Nevermind... "she took a breath then my hand. "Believing in something is exactly what does make it real."
I miss her so much. She was always kind and encouraging. She always had the most beautiful smile on her face and never wore makeup. She never yelled or scolded or punished.
"I miss you mom" a tear rolled down my cheek.
"I miss you too. Now! Tell me about this Alex fellow!!"
"How do you-"
"I know things, I'm a mom, it's my job!"
"Well, he has this brown hair and dark brown eyes that sparkle when he's happy. And his smile- OH MY GOD it's like it could make you happy on the worst day of your life!"
She blinked a few times. "John if I were 30 years younger..."
"MOM!!"
"Sorry sorry!" We laughed. "So he's not your boyfriend yet?"
"No... AND WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP SAYING YET MY GOD" the doctors probably thought I was crazy but whatever...
"Because even you know it's obvious you like eachother"
"But-"
"Shhhhhh no but's you were meant to be."
"Like- like soulmates?"
" we'll have to wait and see but I have a good feeling. Only about a week!"
Oh my Lin. A week! I guess I lost track with all the classes. I only have a week until I get to talk to my soulmate!! Eeekkkkkk
"You should get some sleep sugar cube" my mom said standing up.
"But mom! Please don't leave. I don't want you to go again" I could feel a lump in my throat.
"Aww Jacky, I'm not leaving! I'm always with you. I have been since the day I died!"
"I love you mom"
Mom bent down and kissed my cheek.
"I love you too"
She walked toward the door to my room but when she Opened it, there was no dusty hallway. It was a bright light. I held my cheek where she had planted the kiss and waved with my other hand.
The door shut with a subtle bang to which I woke up.
I was in my dark room in the hospital. It was a dream.
All a dream.
Although my hand was still filled over my cheek where my mother kissed me. I know she's still here.
