" A few Months Later"

For the past months everything has been going good. It was close to the end of the year and prom was coming up soon. I had already asked Ariana and she said yes of course. I was at home chillin with Jacob and Trevor while Ariana was with Jazz and Tiffany.
jacob: ya'll excited about prom
me: i am
trevor: i can't wait to see Tiffany in her dress
me: thats the best part seeing our girls looking beautiful
trevor: hey jacob how has it been with Isabella
jacob: (smiles) its been great i love her to death that's daddy little girl
me: she so pretty wait to them boys comes around your job is gonna get harder
jacob: yea i know she not allowed to date until she 40
trevor: (laughs) you crazy
jacob: im serious
My mom walks in.
DM: hey guys
me: hey mom
them: hey Mrs. Simmons
DM: dan can you help me with these groceries
me: yea
I help her with the bags and then she tells me she needs to talk to me.
me: whats up mom
DM: welll you know how grandma's been sick
me: yea is everything alright
DM: not really she is have surgery next thursday and wants us all to be there
me: mom next thursday is prom
DM: oh im sorry honey but she needs us
me: she can't reschedule its my last prom
DM: im afraid not im sure Ariana will understand honey
me: yea (walks back in the living room)
trevor: whats wrong dig
me: my grandmother is having surgery and wants the family to be there but its the same day has prom
jacob: are you serious
me: yes i dont how to tell Ariana
trevor: im sure she will be sad but will understand
me: i hope so
Ariana pov
me: omg can i plz have your baby
jazz: no you have lost your mind
me: she's just so cute
jazz: yea i know me and jacob did a good job
tiffany: eww you nasty
gets a text from dan
dan: hey babe
me: hey whats up
dan: can you meet me at my house
me: yea sure i will be over in 10 mins
dan: alright see ya then

me: im leaving you guys
jazz: where you going
me: dan wants me to come over
jazz: ok see ya later
tiffany: yea see
I got my stuff and got in my car. I picked up some chick fil a for me and dan and then headed to his house. When i go there he was playing basketball with the guys.
me: hey guys
them: hey
dan: (kisses me) you bring me some food
me: of course
jacob/trevor: we will catch you later
dan: alright come on babe (we walk in the house)
DM: hey Ariana
me: hey mrs. simmoms
DM: i missed you you never come over anymore
me: i know and i missed you too
DM: alright well i go to go see ya later dan
dan: alright mom
We went to the kitchen and ate and then we went upstairs and cuddled on his bed.
me: hey dan you alright
dan: yea why you say that
me: you just been really quiet that's all
dan: yea im good hey you busy tommorrow night
me: no why
dan: i want to take you out dress nice
me: what are you up to
dan: its a surprise
me: ok well what do you want to do
dan: um idk what do you want to do
me: lets play basketball
dan: (smiles) you cant be serious
me: oh yes i am im sure i can beat you
dan: is that a challenge
me: sounds like one
dan: alright come on
me: do you have some shorts i can fit
dan: yea (go and get shorts) here
me: thanks (I go and change) you ready
dan: yea
We go downstairs and go to the basketabll court.
dan: how we playing
me: whoever gets 10 pts first wins
dan: aww this is going to be easy
We started playing and he had already made 4 shots and I only had one. Then he took off his shirt and that pretty much distracted me.
me: dan your cheating
dan: how
me: by taking off your shirt
dan: oh my bad i forgot you couldnt handle all this
me: you lucky i didnt bring my own clothes
dan: oh im sure i could concentrate unlike you
me: i promise you that you wouldnt have been able to
We then continued playing and he ended up winning. Trust me i would have beat him if he didnt distract me.
dan: looks like i won
me: only because you distracted me
dan: you was losing before i even took my shirt off
me: shut up (laughs)
dan: come here
me: (walk over to him)
dan: (puts the ball in my hand and stands behind me and shows me how to shoot)
me: thanks (turns around)
dan: no problem
me: (kisses him passionately) damn you are so sexy
dan: thanks babe you are too
me: i know i try
dan: (laughs)
me: i got to get home
dan: alright (kisses you) i love you
me: love you too
I get in my car and drive home. When I get there i go and take a shower and get ready for bed.
---- Date Night
I had did my hygiene and put on a simple formal dress with some heels then i did my makeup. I then decided to leave my hair natural. I gave myself one last look in the mirror before i went downstairs. When i got downstairs I seen dan just sitting there patiently.
me: im ready
dan: you look beautiful as always
me: thanks you look good too
We got in his car and he drove to this nice restaurant i have never been too. Then we got out and went inside.
dan: simmons
lady: right this way
We followed the lady and she seated us. Then the waiter came and took our drinks and order once we were ready. While we were waiting i noticed that dan wasnt saying much.
me: dan whats wrong i know there's something wrong
dan: i'll tell you once we eat
me: why not now
dan: because i dont want to ruin the mood
me: fine
Then we just made small talk and then our food came. Once we were finished dan said he was ready to talk.
dan: Ariana
me: yes
dan: i actually brung you here for a reason
me: whats the reason
dan: i just found out some terrible news and i dont want you to be mad at me
me: what is it
dan: ok so the yesterday my mom told me that my grandmother was sick and needed to have surgery and she wants all my family to be there
me: im so sorry dan i hope she gets well
dan: but the her surgery is schedule the same day as prom
me: really (looks sad)
dan: yea i asked my mom could she reschedule but she said she couldnt im sorry
me: its fine dan i totally undersyand thats your family and i wouldnt want to come in between whats important
dan: I know that but i really want to take you to prom i mean it is our last one
me: well how about i come with you and support you and your family
dan: i cant let you do that
me: why not
dan: because this is your last prom and im not letting my family ruin it for you
me: but then i will be lonely while the rest of our friends are having a good time
dan: i just cant let you do that and plus im sure that they wont let you be lonely
me: i guess so
dan: do you wanna dance
me: sure
We got up and started dancing. I was still sad about the whole situation but i completely understand that he needs to be there so i cant get mad. I just really wished it i wasnt the same day as the problem. Oh well guess i just have to deal with it. After we were done he just took me home after apologizing a thousands times for something he couldnt control.
