I wasn't ready to see my parents, but I had to meet this mystery guy, I had canceled my plans with the Messi, now I was waiting on my parents to get here, I hated when they made plans without telling me first! Once my parents showed up I got in there car without saying a word. "Well hello dear" my mother said. "Mom, Dad what's the meaning of this" I asked. "Well Valeria, let's just say, that if you wouldn't have left last night then we wouldn't have to do this today, we want you to meet a new business partner" my dad said. "My sister couldn't do this" I asked them. "Nope, he wants to meet you" my mom added. "Listen who ever this guy is, I really don't want to meet him" I said. "Come Valeria, don't act like that, I need you to be a lady and be nice" He said. "No promises" I said. We stopped talking for the rest of the ride and pulled up to a nice little cafe. "Go inside and wait for him" my dad said. 'Wait your not coming with me"I asked. "No honey your doing this on your own"My mother asked. I just nodded and went inside to wait for this guy to show up, I didn't need to wait for him to show up. "I'm sorry for being late" a voice said from behind me. I look up at that voice its a voice I know to well, I turned around and let out a sigh, I wanted to see him, just not to soon, be fate had a twisted way of doing things. "Hello Mr. Mondragon" I said. "Oh wow, can't even say my name" he said. "Why would I do that, Christian" I asked. "Let's be nice to each other Valeria" he said. "Why didn't you tell me last night, that you had a meeting with me, this mess things up between me and you, I asked you for time, to clear my head, I'm not ready to face you just yet, I still don't know what I want and that's bad because I know what needs to be done, but i can't bring myself to do and that's not fair to you or me, so tell me what to do, because this driving me crazy, so lets stop talking about this and lets get down to business, you want to work with us, and my answer is yes, but you won't be talking to me, you'll be talking to my sister Araceli can handle it, I'll show up when needed" I said. "That's not why were here, your parents want us to get to know each other, yeah they don't know that I'm that poor boy that their daughter was madly in love with" he said. "I can't handle this right now, I came here to talk business you know what they say don't mix business with pleasure the outcome is never pretty" I said back to him. "No one is trying to make this ugly, well at least not on my part, so let's show your parents that we're getting along just fine so play along and have them tell you what there really plans are, they want us together" he said. "Fine let's wrap this up and let's go, let's find out" I said. We both got up and walked out, what I wasn't ready for once the flashing lights that met us outside, Christian quickly wrapped his arms around me, he turned my body so that my face was hiding in his chest, I hugged him, but I could hear voice shouting questions left and right, if we were together? If I was married to him? Was he with me for money? That question hit a nerve I felt Christian ready to say something. "No that's what they want" I whispered to him, "Get me out of here, please" I added. He nodded and begun trying to get away from the flashing lights, we made it about three steps when Christian bodyguards came running up to us they stood around both of us and helped us get in a SUV, once we were both I was shocked to see my sister and Matteo. "What's going on why are you both here" I asked clearly confused. "Mom and Dad have a lot of explaining to do" Araceli said. "Is everything okay" I asked her. "They both clearly lost there mind, I have Leonardo, all I want is him, I just got him back and I don't plan on letting him go" she said. "What are talking about I told them both, that you were not to be messed with, you had someone in your life" I told her. "Well mom and dad want to play matchmakers and they think the Mondragons are the prefect match for us, listen I don't like this one bit, so if I have to, marry the love of my life in secret then so be it" she said sounding upset. "No one getting married, at least not yet, I'll handle this, don't worry, see if you can stay with Leonardo for a few days, explain to him what's going on, sorry Matteo but I hope you understand" I said out loud. "Sister what are you going to do" Araceli asked me. "Nothing I just have to talk with them, I'll take heat for this" I told her. "But that's not fair, let me help you at least" she said. "No, I got this, once we get home leave right away, don't give our parents a chance to talk to you, it'll only make things harder on me" I said. I needed to figure out to fix things, I needed a plan, now do as I say to avoid getting into a fight with my parents, things were getting out of control, now it was up to me to fix things. "Why are you doing this, your putting all the pressure on yourself" Christian asked. "Because I wronged a lot of people in my life, this is my way of fixing things" I said. "I understand that but you can't always be the one to fix everyone problems, that's not your job" He said. "Your not helping right now, your stressing me out, let me handle things my way, if you don't like then there's the door, I'm sorry if you don't like the way I handle things, then that's to bad because that's how I am" I said getting upset. "Valeria" He said reaching over to hold my hand, but I shook my hand and pulled moved away. I had to stop, I had to think , I had to learn not to need anyone, because at the end of the day it was so easy to walk away... Once we got home, they dropped us off without a word, Araceli went in first to get her things, "What's the meaning of this" our parent said as soon as they saw us walk in. "Araceli and Valeria Montenegro what is the meaning of this" they both asked. "Leave Araceli out of this, it's me who your mad at" I said pushing Araceli toward the stairs. "Fine then let's, let it all out come sit down we have to talk" my dad said. I let out a sigh and followed them to my office. "Okay first things first what's going on, because I don't understand" I asked my parents. "Listen honey, we've let you girls take over the company and so far it's going good, but the last few months we've noticed a change and it hasn't affected the company but we noticed a change in you girls, Valeria what's wrong" my mom asked me. "Nothing mom, I haven't noticed a change in us at all" I answered. "That's the problem, I want your sister in here" my dad said. "NO, leave Araceli out of this, I'm the face of the company, if anything is happening with it then its on me not her" I told him. "But this has to do with her too" he answered me. "Well good luck finding her, because she's not here, she already left, you won't find her in the house, and I will not tell you were she's at" I said. "Valeria"! my mom yelled. "I mean no disrespect, but tell me what you have to say" I said rising my voice. "Listen to me young lady, this is what I mean, YOU changed, and I don't know if I like or not, I need to my daughter back , the one who does not care what they say about her, the one who knows what to do and handle anything they throw at her, the one who know what she wants, now tell me Valeria were is that girl at, once you found her let her know she has a company to run, you ran off for months, and didn't say a word, I'm not going to lie things were running smooth, no one saw you, you left us worried" my dad said. "I know that was, wrong of me to do,but I had to get way from it all, I need to breathe, I needed to find my self, and let me tell you, I didn't find what I was looking for, if anything I'm further from what I wanted, I know it was childish of me to run away from my problems and I promise not to do do it again, but now for what I really want to know, is why you made me meet with Christian Mondragon" I asked. "That is why I wanted your sister here, we have meet with them, and we think, that they are a prefect match for you girls" My mom said. "There's many problems with that, one being that Araceli is already in a relationship with Leonardo Messi, and another why wouldn't you talk to us first before setting up a meeting with them"I asked kind of mad. "Listen young we would've told you earlier but you, you ran off all those months ago, and yes this started that one day we saw Matteo Monderagon talking to you at that gala, we had for you girls" my dad answered. "Wait your meaning to tell me they knew who we were, from the beginning, all this time they knew about us, even though my sister and I didn't, you mean to tell me that he was closer to me then I knew, I want on a man hunt looking for this guy and he was right in front of me the whole time, and not once did he or his brother try to tell me, I cried my eyes out for him" I whispered. "What's going on do you know them already" my mom asked. "Yes I do, and can't tell you how... at least not right now, maybe after I talk to him first, then I'll tell you, so please leave Araceli out of this, and don't tell her anything I will, I'll do anything you ask me to do, as long has I have a say, I'll be all my focus back on the company, now that I know not to mix business with pleasure, I'll also tell my sister to come back, I think were done with this conversion, please see your way out, I have a lot to think about" I finished off saying to my parent, now I know why I became so cold-heart.ed.......
Araceli's p.o.v:
I ran up stairs to pack my bag, like my sister told me to do. I felt bad for doing this but she told me to, Christian was right, my sister is the one who take fault for everything, I have to find a way to help her, after all she's making sure I still get to be with Leonardo, speaking of which I should really call him and let him know what's going on, but first let me get out of this house. "Leonardo can I come over"I called him as soon has I got into my car. "Yes but whats going on" he asked. "I'll tell you know when I get there"I said. I hang up with him, and got other call from unknown number, me being me answers, "Hello" I asked. "Araceli it's Matteo, listen we have to talk " he answered. "What going on, I would like to know, all these secrets are becoming to much" I said. "Listen what I'm going to tell you, can change a lot of things, we think it's best you know" He said. "Okay well now you got me kind of worried, tell me now" I said getting worried, whatever he said was not going to be good, I had a super bad feeling. "Listen we know that your parents are talking to your sister, and chance are that your parents are going to tell her everything, so we think its fair to tell you that, all this time my brother has been closer then you think, as in his always been here, from the start, as in the night of the gala held in your honor, he was there, that was the first time he saw her, since they had broken up" He said. I was in shock that I had to pull over on the side of the road, "Are you trying to tell me that all this time he was right here the whole and not once did he think of letting my sister know, she left for three months, she tried to get over him and never could, not even when she was with Raymond, she loved your brother more then anything, all she ever wanted was for someone to love her like Christian did, what he did was not fair to my sister, yeah I understand my sister did a lot of wrong, but this was the icing on the cake, how do you think she feels having to find this out from our parents and not from him, this is why they needed to talk, but it looks like an important detail was left out, don't you think, I mean once upon a time she was ready to give it all up for him" I said feeling bad for my sister. "I know that, we understand things probably will change between us all, but we still want to work, with you girls, after business is business" he said. "I have to go back on, my sister needs me, but one thing I am going to ask of you is to respect my sister wishes, and follow what ever it is she wants to do, now if you excuse me, I have to go and call people, good bye Mr. Mondragon" I said before hanging up the phone. I was not expecting that, I knew I had to go back and tell my sister what Matteo had told me, I had to do what was right, so I once again called Leonardo to let him know I was no longer go to his house and that my sister needed me, this was all a big mess. I drove back home to see my parents car pull out and drove away, I parked my car and ran inside the house, and into my sisters office. "What are you doing here, I haven't even called you, asking you to come back yet" she said in surprise. "You didn't have to Matteo, called me on the way to the Messi's, he told me everything sister, how Christian was right here the whole time, how the night of our gala he was there and our parents are setting us up to be with them, the real question is what are we going to do about this" I asked her. "All I know is that it's going to be hard for me, because I still love him, I never stopped loving him, but now knowing that he right there the whole time changes things, but at the same time I don't know what to do" she said. "Well no ones rushing you, but only you know what do in this case, but back to business let's focus on that, Matteo said they still wanted to work with us, and let him know that they had to respect whatever, it was you wanted" I told her. " I know that this next part is going to hurt me more then anything, but my love life is not important at the moment, I have to become ruthless and stay focused on what's important and means our company, I know that not what's best and that it seems that I'm running from my problems but, I can't handle it right now, at least not without breaking down" she said. "If that's what your going to do then so be it" I said.
Alexandra's p.o.v:
I woke with the need to throw up again, jumped out of bed or at least tried to, I was being held down by someone arm, "Raymond let go" I said trying to get up. But he was still asleep, I was about to throw up on my husband when he let go and rolled the other away, I jumped up and ran for the bathroom and start to the toilet, I was in the middle of throwing up, when I heard Raymond call out to me and ran inside he pulled my hair out of the way and rubbed my back. "I thought you said, you were okay Alexandra" I said worried. I finished throwing up and got up to brushing my teeth, "I am, I'm okay, I don't know what that was about, but on other new don't you have meeting to go to you almost always have a morning meeting" I asked him, "I did but it was canceled last minute, you look pale" he said. "I promise it's nothing"I said to him. "If this happens again, your going to go the doctor to make sure" he said. "Listen nothing is wrong, I just threw up" I said. "Alexandra I'm being serious" he said. We both walked out of the bathroom and I sat on our bed, I laid back on the bed and closed my eyes. "I want you healthy is that a bad thing my love" he said. "I know, but I don't feel sick, I know my body and something was wrong you'd be the first to know after all I spend the most time with you" I told him. "Alright I trust you" he said. "We should go have breakfast, is there anything you want"he asked. "Yes please, I want fresh fruit and a yogurt, please" I told him. "Anything for you" he said. I smiled at him, he was the sweetest, I love him and I was happy to be with him, I folded my arms around my stomach and I closed my eyes, then I let out a scream, and bolted to the bathroom and locked the door, I stood in front of the mirror in shock, I pressed both my hands against my stomach and then it hit me, I've been and tired and throwing up in the morning........I'm pregnant.... "ALEXANDRA IS EVERYTHING OKAY, WHY DID YOU SCREAM AND WHY ARE YOU LOCKED IN THE BATHROOM, OPEN THE DOOR ARE YOU OKAY, ARE YOU HURT, SAY SOMETHING BEFORE I BUST THIS DOOR DOWN ALEXANDRA MESSI YOU HAVE THREE SECOND,"!!! He yelled. I couldn't tell him, not yet not until I was sure that in fact carrying his baby, I needed a pregnancy test, but the chance that there was one in the house was a zero present, I needed an excuse to get out of the house and into a store. But I needed to calm my husband down before he hurts himself, so I quickly pulled myself together and opened the door, to see a very stressed out Raymond, "I'm sorry my love, everything's okay, I'm about to start my time of the month, cramps I needed pain pills, I just remembered that's why I threw up" I said. "Are you okay" he said coming inside the bathroom and checking to see if I was hurt. "Raymond love, everything is okay I just need to go to the store and buy what I need" I told him. "I'll take you right now" he said. "Thank you but, you know that you can't without having a camera pointed at you" I answered. "Your right" he said. "Can I just take one of your cars and go" I asked him. "I don't see why not, it's not like anyone knows who you are"he said. My face fell and I looked away from him, "I know that's why I asked to go alone" I said trying to keep the hurt out of my voice. "No Alexandra that's not what I meant" he said. "Raymond I understand or at least I think I do" I said. "Alexandra, it's not that, I promise" he said hugging me. "Raymond can I go now" I asked him. "Yes you can just be careful, no one is outside, so you don't have to worry about being seen, hear take my card"He said trying to give to me. "No it's okay, I have my own money, I don't want your card" I said. "Alexandra please that's not what I meant" he said. If only he knew the real reason, I didn't want his card was because, I didn't want him to know I was buying. I ended up taking his card and we off went down stairs and to the garage, he gave me the keys to his black F150, I gave him a kiss and then drove off, I got nervous, was I really going to do this, was I really going to buy this, this was kind of a big deal, but I couldn't get my hopes up, what if it comes back negative, but something told me it was going to be positive. I got to the store, and ran straight to the pregnancy testes, I grabbed three different kind and a bottle of water, and went to go pay, once I was done I got back into the truck and went back home, I ran back up stairs and into the bathroom and locked the door, I drank all the water and took all three test, and then sat on the floor and waited for what felt like forever. Once enough time had pasted, I slowly got up and looked at all three test and my eyes watered, they had all came back positive! I was pregnant...Raymond and I were going to be parents! I was going to have a Baby........
