Title: "so you like her?"
Y/n's POV:
"How're you in Slytherin?" I laugh pushing my best friend, Draco's shoulder. "What do you mean? I 100% belong in Slytherin!" He chuckles "oh no you definitely belong in Hufflepuff." "Bloody hell I think I'd rather throw myself off the astronomy tower before ever getting into that house" he reply's shaking his head. "Oh come on I'm friends with lots of Hufflepuffs, they're all super nice." "Well of course they are their in that house for a reason" he says in a 'duh' tone. "Okay Mr. stereotype" I smile looking down at my watch "I've got to go I'll see you tomorrow." "Bey Y/n" Draco sighs before I walk out leaving him by himself. "Love you" he whispered under his breath, but by that time I was already too far to hear.
Draco's POV:
I didn't mean to feelings for Y/n, it just happened. We're best friends, we have been since year one. She's kept me from doing rash stuff and kept me in my place. She's the only one I've ever actually talked to about my real feelings like if I'm feeling sad or confused, even just plain upset. With that she also ended up being my soft spot.
Around our third year I developed feelings for her that have been going on for a while now seeing as it's our 5th year now. I sighed punching my mattress before getting ready for bed.
Y/n's POV:
I made my way towards the Gryffindor common room and asked for Harry, Hermione, and Ron. "Hey guys" I smile "where've you been you were supposed to meet us 15 minutes ago?" Hermione questions "let me guess with Malfoy?" Harry asks making a deep shade of red wash over my cheeks. "Maybe" I mumble with a small smile playing at my lips. "Why are you friends with that twat?" Ron asks shaking his head "hey he's my best friend, lay off him he's a good guy if you actually got to know him." "Sounds like someone's crushing" Hermione smirks "what? Yeah right!" I reply nervously laughing while they all give each other knowing looks. "No don't give each other all that look!" I say quickly "whatever you say Y/n, but hey Draco's still up for grabs" Mione smirks making me roll my eyes "and so is Ron" I whisper to her making her face light up. "Night guys!" I grin running back to the Slytherin common room to get ready for bed. The next day.
Draco's POV:
I quickly got ready and waited for Y/n before walking down to the Great Hall. "Oh I forgot something in my dorm, I'll be right back" she smiles before getting up and leaving. Not a moment later scar head, mudblood, and Weasley came over. "We have something to tell you" Potter starts "why would I care?" I question furrowing my eyebrows "it's about Y/n" Granger explains. "Why what's wrong with her?" I ask quickly making them look at each other. I noticed that I stood up hearing that, so I cleared my throat and slowly sat back down. "What about her?" I question trying to act calm. "She has this crush" she starts making my heart start to crack "on who?" I ask quickly once more. "Um well he's in Slytherin" she states "just tell me who it is" I demand getting anxious. "You" Weasley mumbles rolling his eyes "w-what?" I question stumbling on my words. "Oh it's a joke, you think this is really funny dont you three?!" I spit getting up "I'll get you for that one." "No Draco we're telling the truth, why would we lie about our friend?" Hermione says as I roll my eyes "because you all hate me, I hate you, you're trying to fool me so I can look like a fool and loose Y/n." "So you like her?" Potter smirks "w-what n-no!" I stutter cursing myself internally. All three of their faces hold smirks making me grumble walking out of the Great Hall.
Just as I was walking I bumped into someone "watch where-" "what's wrong Draco?" Y/n asks "oh s-Sorry Y/n" I say helping her up. "What happened?" She asks "Potter and his friends-" "what'd they tell you?" She asks fast with red cheeks. I give a confused look raising an eyebrow "they said you have a crush on me" I reply slowly. Her eyes widen making me even more confused "i-is what they said true?" I ask making her look down. "M-maybe" "Y/n?" "Okay fine yes!" She sighs. "Yes Draco I like you, I've liked you since last term, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship" she explains. "I like you too" I say quietly "what?" "I like you too" I repeat again, this time louder. "Really?" She asks while I nod "since 3rd year." Huge smiles spread on our faces "did you plan that?" I ask looking back in the Great Hall. "No, not at all" she says "but I was planning on telling you" she admits holding up a piece of parchment. "That's what I went to grab" she explains "I think I like this way better" I admit. "Why's that?" She asks tilting her head "because it will be a better story to tell our kids one day" I smile. She giggles lightly before I hold out a hand "so would you be my girlfriend Y/n Y/l/n?" "I would Draco Malfoy."
