Hello you guys! I have some thing's I want to talk about.
I'll be posting this at the beginning of the story and here. With warnings and information. Mostly just the beginning of this chapter will go in the beginning. The second part if for this chapter specifically. I just want readers now to read my first part and new readers too.
The first thing I want to talk about is shipping Woosan. It may seem like because i'm deadass writing a fic about them and them being lovers that I ship them as such. I really don't. Their looks are simply my muse. I don't sit here and particularly fantasize and hope that in real life, they get together. I'm able to separate MY character's I write from the actual person.
Clearly the ways i'm portraying them is not how they act in real life. I've seen a lot fo atiny make others feel bad about shipping them or simply just calling them woosan. They themselves has called them that and I understood clearly it was in a friendship kind of spirit. I just want to make that clear. I think it's ok to ship, mostly on a platform like this because Ateez don't be on here so they won't see and get uncomfortable.
I almost want to go back and change the names and make it clear who I am thinking about it in my head. Because I don't want to come across as one of those fans who really think every member in kpop is gay with their other band mate. Like noooo. Sometimes there's those little moments they have with eachother that makes me go all soft, but I still won't sit here and think they are going out or sum.

Second thing. These motherfuckin braids. I'm black if you guy's didn't know. I'm going to take you guys through this whole thing and my feelings on everything. No I do not speak for every black atiny, but my final thoughts will be what a MAJORITY of us think.
When I first saw the pictures I didn't even notice them tbh. His ski glasses was in the way, until my white friend pointed them out. 💀 And my response was, "Didn't pirates have braids?" And then I told her I think it's all good because they aren't cornrows {or so they seemed in the beginning} that was going all the way down to his neck. I thought it was like San's case for the halloween performance. I feel like those are ok because at one point it was a TREND for EVERYONE to get a philly fade and have a man bun or braids up top. And no one said anything. Jeremy Lin. A player in a black dominant sport, if anything I saw a lot of black girls be like, "Ok lightskin Jeremy." Because he simply wasn't wearing them to try and portray being black or I think at the time not everyone was so sensitive about these things.
I'm still on the fence of people having THAT particular hairstyle.
But having cornrows. Big NO. And if you're hair isn't the right texture, why even go thru the pain to wear them? I don't care if you simply appreciate our culture, just no. Some thing's are VERY secret to us because of the history and how we are ridiculed for even wearing those hairstyles. Little girl's be sent home because they have braids. Deeming them a distraction for the other kids so then they have to take them out.
We don't wear them because they just look good, but because it's a good way to conceal out hair so we won't have to do it every morning. Helping it to grow and just stay out of our to do list. Having natural hair, curly, kinky, coily. It's a LOT of upkeep.
It's just an easy way for us to keep up with our hair.
History behind it is that slaves used to use the patterns of the braids for escape routes and used as a map. Used to put dry rice inside the braids for food later on when their masters deprived them of food.
So for people to only see us wearing these braids, when yes a lot of rappers and hip hop artists use braids, but not for the aesthetic and ajority of them will almost always be black and that's just our culture. When people just see it as making them come across more hood or black. It's disrespectful. No matter if you saw it and wanted it because you liked h the look of it.
Now that's not to say that's a bad thing you saw it and wanted it. The problem I have is when we sit here and tell you all of that, because our history is so whitewashed and or just erased and people still don't give a fuck. Still just use it for aesthetics after countless times of us telling everyone. It's a problem.
A big issue I have been seeing too is a lot of non black atiny or kpop fans having their love for their idols blind their sense of morals.
I want to make it clear that even if you don't see the problem with the braids or you felt like the way KQ handled them was good, your opinion does not matter or is needed. When will you guys learn that sometimes you just need to shut the fuck up and just hear us. All us black people want to do is to be heard. For a lot of you guy's to sit here and be like, "Well they apologized," or "It's just hair," or "Kq is not a rich company so re-doing everything will be too much to ask." First of all. Was it your apology to accept? Is it your culture being appropriated for a simple aesthetic? Is it your fuckin culture being swept under the rug because it's just too much of a demanding to respect such a thing to us?
No.
So really shut up.
Y'all be the same one's when wanting to help out other cultures when they be getting appropriated, but as soon as it comes to us black people, fuck our feelings. We always been pushed to the back burner and YES this is a deep issue.
Also for the one's not black and are still giving shit to KQ. Stop. And I noticed a lot has to be antis who are trying to make us black atiny look bad. When Seongwha went on vlive some time ago. That shit was outta pocket. So I would also like you guys to stop making it seem like that was black atiny and that fuels your opinion of us stop caring about the issue bc Kq apologize. I promise you us black atiny aren't spreading hate to Hongjoong, just KQ.
Allow us to have our feelings, opinions and the way we react to the situation. You guy's stop trying to talk over us and sit in the fuckin backseat where you belong in this conversation.
And I can give two shits if they were dutch or cornrows. They are braids nevertheless and us black people are the ones who still use them to this day and get shit for wearing them.
End of discussion.
Now. At first I was confused on why black atiny were making the rest of atiny feel gulty for voting for thanxx bc at the end of the day. They both were going to be released no matter what, I voted on sound. And On first teaser I voted for thanxx, simple bc of the sound. I thought that it was all there was too it, but I understand now.
It's because if thanxx is selected then that would be promoted more and we don't need to see non atiny hating hongjoong for this mistake. We don't want that to represent Ateez and Atiny ourselves so yes, Inception over Thanxx. Also I personally feel like Inception would go over well with the KoreN public more than Thanxx therefore helping to give Ateez their win.
And recently, not even an hour ago Hongjoong's pictures came out and obviously his shit is cropped out. Why are some Atiny making it seem like it was Kq's decision to try and hide the braids. Like we didn't raise hell so they can see their own mistake. ..
Anyways, that's my thought's on the situation.
The next chapter has over 5,000 words. A LOT of word vomit about the reason why Seongwha started all of this. Also some smut, which I'm having someone write. So really i'm waiting for that person to be done with it so I can add it to the chapter and post the chapter.
I want to say thanks for those who are waiting and coming on this journey with me. I promise you I never forgot about this book.
I get unmotivated easily. At first it was when the pandemic started. I got bad anxiety and then I almost got a job, but it didn't happen. So I did more interviews and I sucked at all of them. Then I tried to go to school in the summer, but financial problems. Just the last two weeks my brother got covid so I wasn't able to go out and do interviews for jobs so I didn't even apply.
I guess I'm getting better. My creativity juices are flowing because I am getting less sleep making me have more vivid/weird dreams. I have another Ateez book I'm thinking of doing. Yeah I know I have that Yunho/ Mingi one. I already kinda don't want to continue that one, but i'm thinking of making it a short story. Simply because of the ending I already have for it.
VERY SOON will I post that new chapter. Like maybe even this week. 🥴 That's what I'm aiming for and hoping.
I vow my life to this story and I WILL finish it. My Yoonmin book took a good two years to finish. In october it would be creeping on on the first year of this book. So just for you guys to think about.
