Oh and welcome to the crying party lol

*Two days later

Today is Lynn's funeral. It's just family and friends. It's a small little ceremony that I know she would have loved. All through the different speeches in her memory only one thought kept racing in my head I love you and I know that you are here, I love you and I know you are here and I swear every time I heard a response I love you too and every time her heart raced in my chest.

Dad is sitting on my left hand side and mom is sitting beside him, her head on his shoulder. George sits on my left hand side. He kept stealing glances at me but I am much much better now.

I walked over the aisle to give my speech. As I reached her coffin I stopped down low and kissed her forehead and both cheeks. This little act spread a pin-drop silence over the entire gathering.

During my time at the hospital I wrote her a little poem-song though I did not recite it but gave my usual speech. But during those few words in her memory these words were playing in my head and I know that she heard them.

Need to see you

Just one more time

Want to be happy

Just one more time

Need to see your smile

Just one more time

Want to see you happy

Just one more time

Everyone here is

Draped in white

Formal attire and ties

You are also here

Just playing another part

For the first time

I am sure you are

Just as nervous

As I am:

I stand on the podium

And address the aisle

For the first time

I tell them

That I need to

See you

just one more time

Need to see you

Just one more time

Want to be happy

Just one more time

Need to see your smile

Just one more time

Want to see you happy

Just one more time

They then took you

For the first time

They then took you

For the last time

And I-I would do

Anything to see

You smile

Just one more time

Did you guys like the song? Was it meaningful? Please lemme know :)
