Hello! As Pirate King is approaching its final chapters, its author, dream, is here to chat a little with you and answer some of your questions *smiles and waves awkwardly* I'm sorry this is kind of the first time I'm doing this.
Q: @BMBigTittieCommittee - "How do you write so well?"
To be honest, I don't think I write very well *laughs awkwardly* but if you were to ask me for writing advice, I'd say to read lots of books and practice lots! When I look back on my chapter one *sucks in deep breath* I actually cringe so hard at my own writing. I mean, I still do that even now, but your writing does improve when you do it regularly and constantly, as if working out a muscle. It will get better!
Q: @sugarfree_khaine - "When did you start writing?"
I remember writing since I was ten or eleven when I was bored in school classes? I'd write little stories in my exercise books and get scolded by teachers for not paying attention, and when they tried to confiscate my writing I almost ate the entire piece of paper (I would never live down the shame). After that I started writing for Creepypasta (oh god I hope nobody ever finds those fanfics) and anime I watched, like Naruto. It's only when I discovered ATEEZ that I began writing for Kpop, as you can see from Pirate King!
Q: @ShiberMercy - "What games do you play?"
I don't know if we're talking about the same kind of games TT but one video game I really liked was Borderlands Two on XBox, but I also really like playing Overcooked (although that game is so rage inducing). The type of games I play are often, ahem ahem, otome games. I actually have a Tumblr blog for otome fanfictions too, hehe! *dies promptly of embarrassment* Otome games I currently play are Mr Love Queen's Choice (MLQC), Ikevamp and Ikerev!
Q: @percyxb - "What are your favourite Kpop songs?"
Besides the entire ATEEZ and MONSTA X discography? I tend to lean towards more of BTS' older tracks, and OSTs from Kdramas! Recently, I've really liked Play by Chung Ha, You're Cold by Heize and Orbit by Hwasa! Maria sounds amazing too!
Q: @lostinwonderland__00 - "Is Hongjoong your bias? When did you start stanning them?"
Hongjoong was my bias, but he regrettably lost too Wooyoung in the long run (as you can see from the obvious bias switch in Pirate King). I started stanning them when Pirate King (the song, not the book) was released!
Q: @SHUX1N - "Any groups you stan next to ATEEZ?"
MONSTA X are actually my ults, hehe! My ultimate bias is Yoo Kihyun, one of the best vocalists in Kpop, and I really love their entire discography and personalities so much, and I *goes into hour long rant about how much I love MONSTA X, edited out to keep this interview short*
Q: @SHUX1N - "What's your birthday and where are you from? Do you watch any Kdramas?"
My birthday is 30 October! I'm from a tiny island in South East Asia called Singapore. I did watch Descendents of the Sun and Goblin, but other than that I don't really watch Kdramas (oops).
Q: @bunbunneh - "Where do you get your inspiration from? What books do you plan to do in the future? What groups do you plan on writing in the future?"
I get inspiration from movies and books, or from songs and themes relevant to life and the human condition that I'd like to talk more about! But other than that, I'd say inspiration comes most when I'm daydreaming, or when observing people around me and the way they act. I plan to do two more ATEEZ books so far, one called Sunrise, which you've already seen, and another longer fic that could probably rival Pirate King in length (the timeline and research is already over a hundred pages long with font size 9) that is based on a historical time period with Emperor Hongjoong, so stay tuned for that too! I don't really intend on writing for any other groups in the future, honestly, once MONSTA X disbands I don't think I'll be following Kpop anymore *tired smile*
Q: @Logan_Horton - "Do you stan Pentagon?"
Unfortunately, no! I do know they're very talented and amazing performers who are extremely underrated, though.
Q: @-always - "Is English your first language?"
Yes, it is, although I'm bilingual and can speak Mandarin Chinese! I've also been self studying Japanese and Korean, although I'm not so good at the other two.
Q: @SatomiAnzuko_Chan - "Do you have any siblings? Is it right to ask if you're female? Do you enjoy anime? What's your favourite ATEEZ era and song? What inspired you to start writing Pirate King? Have you ever thought of giving your fans a name?"
Sorry to ruin the mature image you have of me, but I'm actually only seventeen, hahaha! I have a little bit of life experience, but I try to read widely and understand more issues that are happening around the world!
I do have siblings, two younger brothers, in fact! I'm female, and yes, I love anime! Recently, my favourite anime has been Kimetsu no Yaiba, and my favourite character from that show is Shinobae! Her fight with Douma was probably the most bittersweet fight I've ever seen, and I can't wait for it to be animated and for infinity Train to be released! Other than that, some of my favourites are Violet Evergarden, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mahoutsukai no Yome and Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun!
My favourite ATEEZ song is actually Win! In terms of musicality, I really loved their debut album and the Wonderland era! I started writing Pirate King because I was looking through Tumblr one day and saw a lot of 'prince!ateez' fanfictions, but no pirate fanfictions and I was confused, because the debut concept was a pirate concept. So I decided to write my own, and well, here we are!
I have fans??? If I did call them something... maybe dreamers?
Q: @polysemy - "Did everything go as you wanted it from the beginning? (What I mean is, did you work forward to the outcome and the storyline that Pirate King now has or did it change at one point?)"
I used to think Pirate King would end within fifty chapters, which is now so laughable when I look back on innocent, naive me a year ago. Pirate King honestly never meant to shoot Yeosang, but someone in Tumblr commented how Yeosang wasn't getting enough screentime, so, well... watch e be confused over my own storyline at this point because it's been eighty five chapters and I've lost track of the entire plot *screams loudly*

Yes, I do!
Q: @red_horizon_ - "How did you feel when Pirate King's views grew? Did you anticipate that it would be this big?"
Honestly, I uploaded everything onto Wattpad and often didn't look at the statistics, hahaha. So when I realised I was on the top for the ATEEZ tag, I was really surprised, because I thought more people would rather read badboy!ateez or mafia!ateez troupes, and while those can be nice, they're not really my thing (and are also really Wattpad's thing). I'm really appreciative when people leave comments, because it tells me what you're thinking about the book! I never really thought it'd become big, but I'm infinitely grateful that people like it so much.
Q: @iri_xuan - "Do you have any socials to keep updated with you?"
I honestly only really have Tumblr, since I prefer to keep my personal life and writer persona separate! My Tumblr has the URL @chasingatinydream and I talk a lot more with my followers there, so head over to check out my blog! I don't think any Wattpad reader who has looked at my blog has gone 'ew I hate it here' at least... I'm rather proud of it, actually!
