A/N: Right off the bat I wanna say, please don't be offended by anything that Annabelle says. She is indeed (super) judgmental, but that will change over the course of the story...Enjoy

Do you wanna know what my biggest fear is? My biggest fear in the entire world is slipping and passing out in the shower, then having my family find me there, naked.

Irrational fear? I think not.

That's why as I loudly blasted music while getting ready to go to school, I was careful not to do anything that would cause that to happen.

I sang obnoxiously loudly to 'Stay With Me' by You Me At Six. See, that was good music, unlike the poppy crap played on the radio. Yes, I was indirecting the "hottest band of the year" (note the sarcasm), Crash and Burn. The fact that the world considered them 'punk' made me cackle. They were bubblegum pop. Simple as that.

"Annabelle! Hurry up, you're gonna be late for your first day back!" My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I groaned loudly as I put on my Marianas Trench necklace. I never took it off, because it reminded me of the time Josh Ramsay said I "had the key to his heart". I loved him.

I quickly grabbed my backpack and keys, giving my mom a quick kiss on the cheek before I ran out the door. Or at least attempted to. "Annabelle? Really?!" My mom raised an eyebrow at me.

"Whhaaatttt?" I purposely dragged out the word. She was obviously about to say something about my appearance. I wore dark blue skinny jeans, Doc Martins and a plaid shirt over my black singlet.

"You look like a boy." she simply stated. In response I rolled my eyes and closed the door.

"Love you too, Mom." I yelled. When I reached my convertible, I contemplated whether arriving late for school due to quickly stopping by Starbucks was worth it.

Nah. Maybe another day.

Westlake Arts High. Basically my school with crazy talented people. To get into Westlake, you either had to audition or have a lot of money. Most people at our school had done both.

I pulled up to the school and after a while I found a parking spot that was reasonably close to the school entrance. Oh, it was good to be back. No, I was not a nerd, I was just a student who enjoyed learning.

Sue me.

"Annabelle Carter? Is that you!" A loud masculine voice, that I knew all too well, said. I turned around with a big smile on my face.

"Jay!" I jumped into his open arms and he instantly spun me around. Jay Cole. Multi talented dude. He played basically any instrument handed to him and he had a killer singing voice. Westlake was lucky to have him.

No, before you make assumptions, Jay and I were not a thing, not even close. He was one of my closest friends and occasionally we performed together at our school showcases. Despite his pretty boy looks, Jay had a style which was heavily influenced by his favourite genre of music, rap. I mean, he wore his pants almost as low as Justin Bieber. Almost.

"I'm good, just a tad cranky because I had to skip out on my Starbucks this morning." I sulked. Everyone knew I needed my black coffee.

"Well... Tash has some coffee." Jay spoke huskily. There was a reason Natasha Phillips was my best friend. She loved coffee and bands. That was the way to my heart.

"By the way, you look... different." He slowly spoke. I rolled my eyes. His lack of observation skills astounded me. By now, most people would have said to me-

"Dude, you dyed your hair!" Natasha excitedly ran up to me, holding in her hand the oh so sacred coffee.

"Yeah." I shot Jay a quick glare, before returning my attention back to Natasha. I had to have some of her coffee, but before I could say anything, she spoke.

"You want some coffee, don't ya. She gave me a knowing smile. Natasha was the one person in the entire school who knew me more than I knew myself. I could literally just think a question and she would answer it. We had met during our auditions to get into the school. She had been the only person in the entire auditorium who knew the Green Day song I had sung (It was Are We The Waiting). And after that, we just clicked.

"Yes." I smiled and grabbed the cup. Flat white. Not exactly my first choice, but it was much appreciated.

"Cute necklace." I smiled at her, after I finished the coffee. It was a pick with "Pick Music" on it. It was actually quite clever and convenient because it could probably have doubled as just a pick, and at this school, that was very convenient.

"Thanks, and you owe me $3.60 for that." She cheekily grinned.

"What a rip off!" I whacked her arm as we moved around the busy hallways. It was full of peole chatting with their friends about vacation. There was the occassional "Oh em gee!" which I chose to ignore.

Did I ever mention to you, my other fear was fangirls. They petrified me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was a fan of people and a girl, just not a fangirl.

I would never spend every day of my life on Twitter and/or Tumblr, my wall was definetly not a shrine to boys and I was not a stalker. Words like "otp" "ship" "feels" and the phrase "my ovaries" made me cringe. And I knew the difference between a boyband and a band.

Parachute - Band

The Wanted - Boyband

McFly - Band

Crash and Burn - Boyband

I'll admit, I did feel sorry for fangirls. I mean, they were so consumed by their sickeningly sweet boybands that they were completely oblivious to the outside world. One which had real music.

"Jay what are you still doing here? Your homeroom is at the complete opposite end of the school." I said to him.

A crooked smile appeared on his face. "Maybe I just wanted to walk you and Tash to yours, but whatever." He pretended to walk away and instantly Natasha pulled him back, giving me a dirty look. I put my hands up in surrender.

"We all know its because you don't wanna see Hunchback." I laughed. Mrs Hamilton was the cutest old lady ever, but she had really bad posture and developed that nickname. She loved everyone but absoultely hated Jay and I completely understood why. He was a pain in the butt.

"Pfftt, what? No." Jay responded, feigning innocence. Right as I was about to call him out on it, my body collided with someone elses, sending me backwards. However, a pair of arms wrapped around me, preventing me from falling to the ground. The person held me a bit to close for my liking. I was overwhelmed by the smell of their cologne.

"Watch where you're going, jerk!" I yelled, pushing away from him. In front of me stood an oddly familiar looking group of four guys. The one that had walked into me had dark brown hair, perfectly quiffed of course, tan skin and pretty green eyes. He was wearing a plaid shirt, much like myself, except his was completely buttoned up, and black skinny jeans.

Just because he was attractive, didn't mean he had the right to walk into people like that. The school was quite big and there wasn't that many students, so really, he didn't have to walk into me.

"Woah, sorry." He spoke with a very low voice. He was looking at me like one of those cute lost puppies. But somehow, his attractiveness made me want to yell at him even more.

"Whatever. And next time, try not to drench yourself in cologne. You smell like such a tool." I heard his friends laugh at my comment as I pushed past him.

"Annabelle! Do you know who you just spazzed at?!" Natasha frantically spoke, digging her black nails into my flesh. Was this dude of any significance to me? I thought about it. That would be a solid no.

"Some dude who doesn't know how to walk properly." I rolled my eyes, trying to break out of her grasp. Jay laughed at my pain.

"That was Kyle freaking Fletcher." She sqeauled. Did I forget to mention that behind Natasha's cool punk exterior, was a fangirl dying to get out. Without that one flaw, she would've been perfect. My only question was why she was fangirling over a guy at our school.

"I thought that it was just a rumour! This can't be real. And you yelled at him!" She pointed an accusing finger at me. Jay and I exchanged confused glances. We both didn't know what her problem was.

"Are you guys stupid? Kyle Fletcher! Freaking Crash and Burn are attending our school!" She happily clapped her hands together. For what seemed to be the hundreth time in that day, I rolled my eyes at her.

As if I cared that I had called a member of the "hottest band ever" a jerk and told him he smelt like a tool.

A/N: Thank you for choosing to read 'Crash"!

On the side you will find the song Annabelle was listening to in the early hours of the morning.

Also please don't be offended if you are a fangirl, because I can openly admit (lol) that I'm one too.

Vote, comment and all that jazz
