The big day had arrived. All my my class was in a room waiting for the time. I had been training with Katsuki every day...but besides that I also trained with my Dad who helped built my stamina. I was sitting between Katsuki and Zuku, when suddenly Todoroki called Izuku and said," Objectively speaking.... I'm stronger than you," Todoroki told Izuku.
"What the hell is wrong with him?" I whispered to Katsuki, who just shrugged and looked at them.
"Huh?! Sure..." Izuku answered. "Idiot" Katsuki said an annoyed expression on his face.
"All Might's got his eye on you, doesn't he. Now I'm not about to pry into why that is, but..... I will beat you."
"Ooh!! A declaration of war from the strongest in the class?!" Kaminari said
"Hey man, why pick a fight now?! We're about to go on..." Kiri said.
"I really don't care. I'm not pretending to be anyone's friend here." He replied. Ok that pissed me off. I got up and walked up to him.
"Pretending, huh? Wow I feel honored that the son of Endeavour, pretends to be friends with me. And you know what I don't want to be your friend and for the declaration of war is on but only if you use both your sides." He glared at me which made Katsuki come and glare at him too.
"Todoroki. I'm not sure why you felt the need to tell me you'll beat me...."Izuku answered.
"You're clearly stronger and I can't measure up to most of the others here in skill...objectively speaking, even..."
"Don't be so negative, Midoriya, no need..." Kiri tried to put peace to the situation.
"Everyone...even the kids from the other courses are aiming for the top." Izuku explained.
"And I'm....well, lemme say this. I'm not gonna fall behind. I'm going for it too. With everything I got!"
"Hmm." Todoroki answered.
"Tch" Katsuki said while he ruffled Izuku's hair.
"We have to go" said Kirishima

" IT'S U.A.'S SPORTS FESTIVAL!!!THE ONE TIME EACH YEAR..." Present Mic yelled
"WHEN OUR FLEDGING HEROES COMPETE IN A RUTHLESS GRAND BATTLE!! FIRST UP....YOU KNOW WHO I AM TALKING ABOUT!!THE MIRACULOUS RISING STARS WHO BRUSHED OFF A VILLIAN ATTACK WITH THEIR STEELY POWER!! THE FIRST YEARS... OF THE HERO COURSE!! IT'S CLASS A!!" He yelled as we walked into the arena and saw a huge crowding for us.
"Whoa..." Izuku said nervously" What a crowd..."
"T-there's a a lot of p-people..." I stuttered" W-why is there so many p-people...?"
"Don't be a pussy, Wolfie. You are my girl. We are not afraid of anything. You too, nerd."
"Y-yeah.." Zuku and I replied.
" Now for the athlete's oath!!" Aunt Midnight exclaimed.
"Where did she come from?" someone asked.
"Your student representative is... from class 1-A, Katsuki Bakugou!!"
"What? It's Kacchan?!" Zuku asked
"Must be because he placed first in the entrance exam." Sero concluded.
"The hero course you mean" someone cleared.
Katsuki advanced to the stairs.
"Y/N, please go with him, I have a bad feeling about this..." Kirishima whispered.
"Me, why me?" I said terrified.
"You know you are the only one that...can...control him" Sero said.
"I pledge..." he began," Make no mistake about it. I'm gonna win. You'll all make great stepping stones, I'd say" I started laughing but, suddenly I found myself on stage beside Katsuki. I froze for a second. I wanted to kill Sero for throwing me there.
Quickly I took the microphone before someone could complain," And in the name of all competitors, we promise that we shall take part in the festival respecting the rules, with great sportsmanship and the most important thing is that we will have fun. Thank you."
People applauded although some complaints were heard about Katsuki's speech.
"Saved by the bell..."Midnight muttered. My classmates let out a sigh of relief. We both went downstairs but.. something about Katsuki was odd.... he would definitely would've been smiling as he said that... He's pushing himself. He's telling himself that he can't lose.
I took his hand.
"Hey" I told him" I know you want to win but... I won't make it easy for you. I'm going for number one too, remember?"
" Heh" he laughed and put his arm around my shoulder," You'll be worthy opponent."
"THESE ARE THE QUALIFIERS! IT'S IN THIS STAGE THAT SO MANY ARE SENT HOME CRYING EVERY YEAR!!AND THE FATEFUL FIRST EVENT THIS YEAR IS...THIS!!"
An obstacle course race...interesting.
"It's a race between every member of the eleven classes!"Midnight explained" The course is a four-kilometre lap around the stadium itself! Our school preaches freedom in this things! So as long as you don't go off the course, anything is fair game!"
"Easy...as long as I come in top five." I said.
"START!!"
