you two ran inside to find FangFang laying in his bed
"What's wrong?"
"He started breathing heavy and you can tell he's having trouble keeping his eyes open."

you, Mingrui, and his sister sat around FangFang. Mingrui was sitting in front of him, lightly scratching the top of his head
"Hey, boy..."
FangFang licked the palm of the hand that he cut.
"Oh it's okay, buddy...it's okay..."
you softly stroked his fur on his back
Mingrui's eyes started to brim with tears. His blinking got slower and heavier until his eyes didn't open anymore.
"Xiao FangFang..."
he scratches behind FangFang's ear, which was his favorite spot.
"sleep well..."
you put your hand on Mingrui's shoulder. he scoot closer to you and you have him a hug
"It's okay..."
He backed away and wiped his face
"It's good he got to go with the ones he grew up with."
you were fighting back the tears
you rested your head on Mingrui's shoulder
"why don't you go home FangFang...It's getting late..."
at that moment, your phone started to ring
"Hello?"
"Lin Li Faaaaang!"
"what?"
"It's fucking snowing!"
"I know..."
"Let's get some ramen and eat outside! Like we did before! Come on! Zeyu's coming, so tell Mingrui to come too!"
Mingrui could hear shuyang yelling over the phone
"Go ahead..."
"I'm not leaving you alone."
"I'll be fine."

"Yes."

"FangFang."
he gets up and pulls you up too
"Go...I'll be fine."
"YO SO YOU COMING OR WHAT?"
you forgot you were still on the phone with Shuyang
Mingrui grabs the phone from your hand
"Yeah, she'll be there in a little."
then he quickly hung up the phone
"Mingrui-"
"I'll walk you out..."
you sighed and went along with him
"I'll be fine..."

"no buts. Go with Shuyang and Zeyu."
"I'll call you later then..."
you tone was disappointed and upset
"stop acting like that. I want you to have fun while your home."
"But I won't be with you."
a little smile formed at the corner of his mouth
"I'll see you tomorrow..."
he gives you a little kiss on the cheek
"Get going now...Be safe."
you nod and start to walk up the hill to the ramen place near Shuyang's house
you looked back and saw Mingrui with his hands stuffed in his pockets watching you walk off
he waved at you and you gave a little wave back
you continue to walked and soon saw Shuyang and Zeyu sitting at a table outside
"Lin Li Faaaaaaang!"
you couldn't help but chuckle at no matter how much you guys grew up, these two were always childish.
you guys ate and talked and even though you were laughing and joking around with them, it just didn't feel right just leaving Mingrui at home.
you three were walking down the hill, and it was pretty empty so you guys were walking in the middle. Zeyu put his arm around both of you
"This is nice. Spending a snowy winter's night with my best friends."
"but where's GouGou? He was on the phone earlier."
"He stayed home."
"Why? Did his dog die or something?"
you look down at your bowl
"Oh my god, his dog actually died..."
"yeah..."
"Were you there?"
"yup..."
"Shit...sorry, man..."
"Damn. that dog really was a part of our group, huh?..."
"Let's go cheer him up!"

"He couldn't eat out with us. Let's go buy him some food and bring it to him! Hopefully hanging out with him will make him feel better."
"Sometimes i do remember you have an actual brain."

you guys went to the mini mart and bought some instant noodles and snacks.
"He's gonna love this~"
you three went to his house and knocked on the door
Mingrui opened the door to find you three standing there, with you in the middle holding up the bag

"Here to hang out with you, dumbass!"
he smiled

he lets you guys in and you put the bag in the kitchen. Shuyang and Mingrui sat at the table and Zeyu sat on the counter
you were standing at the table and taking out all of the food
"Oh, you got my favorites!"
"Lin Li Fang picked out all the food...and...um...paid..."

"yeah."

he gets up and hugs you from behind

you snickered
"When did that happened?!"
you shrug
"Today."
"how? when? where? wHy?"
"Isn't it obvious why, dipshit."
"I'm hungry. Let's eat."
he takes the instant noodles and starts to open it
"oh my-...tell ussssss!"
"she kissed me."
"That's it?"

"then i told her i loved her. that's about it."

Shuyang and Zeyu got up and started making fun of you
"Mingrui~ Kiss me~"

"so, when's the wedding?"

you try grabbing him but he ran hid behind Shuyang

Mingrui rubs the top of your head then sits down to eat

Zeyu pats the top of your head and you grab his wrist

you let go

you sit at the table
"So...what are you guys doing for christmas?"
you shrug
"Just spending it at Hanyu's house, I guess."
"What about new years?"
you shrug again
"Just spending it at Hanyu house."
"Let's get some drinks on new years. unless you two wanna go on a date~"
"Will you two shut it alr-"

you look at Mingrui and he was smiling and playing with his food

"okay, then we'll go drinking with the rest of the guys, so you two can go on a little date."
"It'll be fun without a girl around for once."

"Welp, we're gonna go before this shit gets awkward~"

you two boys leave
"GouGou?"
you chuckled and he looked up at you
"You know...um...if you want to...go out on New Year's Eve...we haven't gone on a real date since we were kids...so...um..."
he looks back down at his bowl of soup and stuffs his mouth
you smile
"I should probably get home."
he looks up, confused
you kiss him on the cheek
"I have to see what I'm going to wear on our date."
his cheek became a bright pink
"Good night."

he choked on the noddles in his mouth

you started to walk to Hanyu's house when you saw everyone rushing into the car
you ran over and stopped hanyu
"What's happening?"
"Taking Gou Ji to the ER."
