5 Months after the Fall, Blake Belladonna
Seagulls call as a ship moves over peaceful blue waters. A pan of the boat from bow to stern reveals... Passengers strolling across both the upper and mid decks.
Blake Belladonna rests her hands on the rail and stares out at the ocean. She blinks and looks over her right shoulder, somewhat startled. Two kids laugh over a joke. Blake almost smiles and turns to look back at the ocean.
Footsteps approach.
Captain: Traveling alone?
Blake jumps and grips the hilt of Gambol Shroud. She halts her action when she sees the captain of the boat.
Captain: (holding up his hands in a reassuring manner) Now, now, no threat here. Just here to chat.
Blake hesitates before relaxing her posture with a roll of her eyes.
Blake: And why is that?
The Captain lowers his arms and then twists to lean idly onto the rail.
Captain: Well, not many people travel by boat on their own. It can be quite a lonely voyage. But I found those that do tend to have the more... interesting stories.
Blake turns away from the Captain.
Blake: Maybe it's just... better for some people to be alone.
The two kids run behind Blake laughing and she gasps again, not expecting the noise behind her. She turns and blinks at them trying to reset her calm.
Captain: (laughing) Maybe, but with your paranoia, I think a few friendly faces wouldn't hurt.
Blake: Who says I'm paranoid?!
Captain: (laughing again) No one, dear, no one. I'll leave you be.
The Captain turns and walks away, then stops.
Captain: But uh, fair warning: these trips can be awfully boring.
The Captain continues on his way and Blake stares after him. Once he's gone, she turns and looks at the ground for a few seconds before reaching up and undoing her bow.
Blake: Mmm.
She holds the ribbon out over the railing.
Blake: Won't be needing this.
Blake lets go and watches the ribbon swirl in the air once before landing on the water. She turns and walks away.
As she passes inside, a hooded figure is shown to be watching her from a distance.
Beside the ribbon on the ocean, the large scales of a sea creature are seen moving just above the surface. After they pass, the ribbon is gone.
5 Months after the Fall, Yang Xiao Long
Yang Xiao Long is sitting on a green couch in her home on Patch. She looks at the stack of three books on her right and instead picks up the remote control to her left. With a click, the projected scene comes on, revealing a news segment from the VBC channel.
Glynda Goodwitch is shown unsuccessfully piecing together a building. Across the bottom of the screen, it reads: BEACON INACCESSIBLE.
Reporter 01: "...with no end in sight. Try as they might, the local Huntsmen and Huntresses can't seem to get a hold of the situation at Beacon Academy."
Yang clicks the remote. As the next reporter speaks, the large lettering across the screen are slowly revealed backward, from the perspective of someone facing Yang. It reads: CCT Repairs "Underway". The subheading reads: Atlas officials working on solution, but not optimistic.
Reporter 02: "...though the fail-safes have supported wireless communication within the kingdom, the loss of the CCT Tower continues to prevent contact with the outside world. Talks with Atlas officials regarding repairs have so far—"
Yang clicks again, cutting off the reporter and bringing up yet another news segment. A horned anchorman speaks above the caption: Sending Citizens Home. The corner caption has the logo for VOX News.
Reporter 03: "...Vale council voted this week to continue to ban any air traffic that does not have a direct correlation with evacuation. The council has made it clear that they feel—"
Yang clicks again. Her eyes widen and she sits up.
Lisa Lavender: "Multiple rumors continue to circulate as to who was behind the attacks at the Vytal Festival Tournament."
The screen shows anchor Lisa Lavender and the VNN logo. The caption below her reads: WHITE FANG MEMBER, ADAM TAURUS, PRESENT DURING BEACON GRIMM ATTACK.
Lisa Lavender: "While no one knows for sure, officials have confirmed that high-ranking White Fang member, Adam Taurus..."
Adam's image appears on the screen at his name being spoken.
Lisa Lavender: "...was present for the attack. Any and all attempts to bring him into custody have been met with brutal force—"
Yang changes the Television with yet another click from the remote. Another Anchorman speaks above the caption: Y/N Wanted In All Of Remnant. The subheading reads: Are Mutants a threat against Remnant?
Reporter 4: The man, Y/N; is an infamous criminal known as Wolverine. There have been many attempts by the Military to search for this man, but the Military Personell never came back. (An image of a bearded past Y/N pops up) The man has a mutation that allows him to heal very fast. Y/N has very strong.. what seems to be metal claws.
Yang leans forward to listen in.
Reporter 4: It has been speculated that Y/N is involved in the Fall of Beacon. It was rumored too that Y/N is currently trapped in Beacon. The ma-
Yang: (to herself) That's what you get, killer.
Reporter 4: Though, villagers from outside the kingdom saw a man with metal claws roaming around the forest, we are unable to determine if it is Y/N. Please, if you someone that has a resemblance with Y/N, contact authorities and get away from him as soon as possible.
Reporter 4: He is very dangerous. Watch out for you who are living out in the forest. Back to you Jim.
Yang turns the news off. She sits there holding the remote, and a door clicks open.
Taiyang: I'm home!
Yang sets the remote down and leans her head backward on the couch, looking up at the newcomer that way.
Yang: Hey, Dad.
Taiyang is shown upside-down at first, as he would appear to Yang, but the image promptly rights itself. He is carrying three boxes with two bags hanging from his forearms.
Taiyang: Guess what came in today!
The door shuts behind Taiyang as he walks into the living room.
Yang: What?
Taiyang:: I can't wait for you to try this.
He walks into another room to unload, while on the couch Yang looks somewhat interested. Taiyang returns, carrying one long white box. He sets it on the coffee table in front of Yang, revealing the Kingdom of Atlas symbol on it. She looks at it and doesn't move.
Taiyang: Well?
Yang: It's... for me?
Taiyang: For you and you only.
Yang lifts the lid off the box to reveal a robotic right arm. Yang looks it over, somewhat wide-eyed while her father gushes. She blinks and her eyes droop a bit, revealing she's more distressed than pleased.
Taiyang: Brand new, state of the art Atlas tech. You know, I thought I was gonna have to pull some strings, call in a few favors, but you earned this one all on your own, kiddo.
Yang: (looking up) Huh?
Taiyang: Before I could even talk to him, General Ironwood already had one of his top scientists working on this, for you. He wanted me to tell you that you fought admirably. You should be proud of yourself.
Yang looks up at her father but says nothing.
Taiyang: Well? You going to try it on?
Yang: I uh... I'm not feeling too great right now. Maybe later?
Taiyang deflates a bit and puts his hand to the back of his neck as he sighs and considers how best to respond.
Taiyang: Well, alright.
Yang gets up and walks up the stairs, Taiyang giving her an encouraging smile as she passes in front of him. She pauses partway up the steps, turning in his direction.
Yang: Thanks, Dad.
Yang continues upstairs as a visibly disheartened Taiyang bows his head.
Later, Yang sweeps the porch, adept at it with one arm. She pauses to wipe her brow and sigh. The next scene shows her getting mail out of the mailbox at the end of their driveway. Lastly, she's in the kitchen, rinsing a glass. As she lifts it out of the sink, it slips out of her fingers and she gasps.
When it hits the floor and breaks, it triggers a flashback. Against the blackness there's a gray slash moving from upper left to bottom right and the red markings from Adam's mask glow while the sound of a sword loudly resonates. Then, Y/N fades in and punches Adam, Y/N looks at Yang and walks closer to strike, Y/N swings his claws at her.
In the kitchen, Yang rears back with a cry. She clings to the countertop and pants, out of breath due to fright.
Her fist comes down against the countertop, and Yang gets herself under control.
From the doorway, Taiyang watches with concern before turning away without saying a word.
It is dusk, and the boat continues its journey on the smooth water. There is still peaceful bird cry, and Blake is once again on the middle deck looking out at the ocean. A Faunus couple walk behind her and she watches them, slightly less twitchy than before.
It's when she's about to leave that she senses she is being watched by someone on the upper deck. It's the hooded figure, and she immediately takes out Gambol Shroud.
Blake: Who's there?!
The hooded figure turns and runs for it, blonde hair somewhat visible beneath the hood. Blake stares up at the deck, no longer watching the ocean. She does not notice the dorsal fins of a giant sea creature momentarily surface. However, she feels the boat rocking on the wake it created and lets out a grunt as she tries to keep her balance.
The creature's long-necked shadow looms over Blake as she turns around to face the water. Its shadow also falls on a member of the crew on duty in the crow's nest, who is looking up at it in horror.
Crew Member 01: RED ALERT!!
The alert immediately sounds. Two red lights next to a speaker pulse with the sound. The Captain and his First Mate come running out and look at the water from the upper deck, just above Blake. The Captain murmurs as the shadow falls over him.
Captain: By the gods...
The long-necked creature is revealed to be a large Sea Feilong. It has a pattern of glowing red lines along the scales of its neck, and its eyes glow yellow. The Grimm swings its head back and forth, roaring and spreading its short forearms outward.
Captain: (turning and calling out to the ship) All hands to battle stations!
First Mate: Sir, we've never fought a Grimm this big!
Captain: We've never seen something this big, But we'll give 'er a fight nonetheless!
Blake springs into action, running off the boat and into the air. She creates one of her clones to give her added upward momentum, flinging Gambol Shroud forward in its kusarigama form. Attached to the ribbon on her wrist, it embeds itself into the Grimm's neck.
Blake swings above the Grimm and shoots it in the back of its neck. It roars. Blake lands on the crow's nest while the Captain steers from the bridge.
He keeps the ship stabilized in the Grimm's wake and steps outside to get another look at it. Blake still shoots it while it arcs back into the water. The side of the ship opens up and the cannons come out.
Blake continues her assault on the sea creature, once again swinging and shooting. The ship's cannons fire but are mostly ineffective. Blake falls back onto the ship's deck, lands on her back, bounces, and quickly gets herself back onto her feet. She discovers that her left shoulder is hurt when she moves to stand.
Captain: (steering again) Hold steady men, it's not done with us yet! GET THE HEAVY CANNON LOADED!! (The First Mate changes from being nervous to battle-ready upon hearing this order.)
The largest cannon on the ship rises up through a trapdoor on the deck, extends itself, and aims at the Grimm. The Grimm's dorsal fin splits apart and extra bone unfolds, revealing two wings. The Sea Feilong lets out a roar as it flies, its beating wings sending a gush of air at the ship. Blake cries out as she hangs on with her hurt left arm.
Captain: Heavy cannon, OPEN FIRE!
The heavy cannon shoots, but the Grimm easily evades it. It opens its mouth and an electric ball forms.
Blake readies to launch herself at it, but the hooded figure lands on her head and uses her as a launch pad.
Blake: Hey!
The figure grunts and the cloak falls back, revealing Sun Wukong. Midair, he activates his energy clones.
Blake: Sun?!
Sun and his clones land on the Grimm's head. The two clones pull on the topmost tendrils of the head while Sun grabs its upper lip.
Sun: Not today, pal!
When the Sea Feilong releases its electric blast, it goes harmlessly into the air, rather than at the ship.
Blake: What are you doing?!
From atop the enraged Grimm's snout, Sun answers her while holding onto the two tendrils his now-disappeared clones had grabbed.
Sun: Oh, uh, you know, just... hanging out!
The Grimm manages to get a small electrical charge around Sun and he lets go, shouting as he falls.
Sun: Whoa-oa!
Blake gasps and immediately springs into action again. She jumps onto and off the railing, using Gambol Shroud's kusarigama form on the crow's nest to swing herself around and catch Sun midair. They land on nearby rocks.
Sun: (putting his hand to his heart) My hero!
Blake: You're not supposed to be here!
Sun: Yeah!? Well, it looks like you can use all the help you can get!
Blake glares at him and then rolls her eyes.
Blake: Ugh. (drops him) Just shut up and fight!
She runs toward the ship in the water, where the Grimm is firing electric blasts at it. Sun is on the ground, striking a pose on his side with his hand propping up his head.
Sun: Yes, ma'am!
On the ship, the Captain is steering while two of his crew are looking at displays.
First Mate: Starboard defenses are down, sir!
Captain: We still got the heavy cannon?
Crew Member 02: Aye, but it's moving too fast! We can't land a hit!
Captain: Argh. How about the engines?
First Mate: Fully functional, Captain!
Captain: Well alright, then!
On the deck, Blake is preparing to counter a hit from the Grimm's electric blast, but Sun jumps in between with a laugh of triumph. He uses Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang to deflect it and lands on the heavy cannon, resting his staff on his shoulder with a crooked grin.
Captain: Huntsmen!
Sun and Blake turn to the man who has come out onto the upper deck calling them.
Captain: If you can clip its wings and draw it out towards the bow, we could take it!
Blake turns away from the Captain to look up at Sun.
Sun: I mean, you're the one with the swords.
Blake: Ugh.
Sun spins his weapon back into a holstered position and runs toward the Grimm.
Sun: Now or never!
Sun activates three clones and jumps into the air. The first clone springs Blake upward to the second clone, which does the same. The third clone swings her up. Sun waits, laughing and opening up his arms, but then loses his smile in confusion.
Sun: Huh?
Blake, instead of heading toward him, directs herself above him and lands on his shoulders. They sink a few feet while he grunts and Blake leaps upward off of him. High above the Sea Feilong, she begins her descent, avoiding the electric blasts it shoots at her. She runs down its right wing, slicing through the thin membrane.
Sun smirks as he waits for her on the rock she's readying to land on and catches her. The impact causes the rock surface to crack around them while he's left holding her bridal style. Blake smiles at him until he speaks.
Sun: This is the part where you say it.
Blake: (turning her head away) Ugh.
The Grimm moves around them, causing the precarious rocky area to collapse. Blake is on the move again, leaving Sun behind.
Sun: Okay, maybe later!
Sun jumps off the collapsing rock. The Sea Feilong flies after them, knocking rocks down as he goes. The Captain watches from the bridge through a spyglass before throwing a handle and increasing the boat's speed. It sails beside the destructive Grimm, keeping apace.
Sun continues to hop around, avoiding the Grimm's attacks until one more move puts him directly in front of its open mouth. Blake swings in on her ribbon and gets him out of reach. The Grimm prepares a blast to get them both in one shot when it is impaled by the bowsprit of the boat.
Captain: Fire!
The heavy cannon fires and hits the Grimm dead on. Its upper half is blasted to pieces, and it dies immediately. The Captain, the First Mate and Crew Member 02 all cheer. The cheer is upheld by the passengers on the ship who also join in with applause. On their rock, Sun celebrates while Blake smiles and lowers her head in relief.
Sun: Ha-ha! (lifting his hand for a high five) Up top!
Blake turns and glares at him.
Sun: (wiggles his hand with a grin) Eh?
With a cry, Blake swings her arm around to slap him in the face. He rears back in slow-motion and the screen goes black to the sound of her hand making contact with his flesh.
It is nighttime on the middle deck of the ship. Blake is at the railing again, only this time facing sideways.
Sun: Seriously, it was no big deal!
Sun is revealed to be talking to two of the Faunus passengers.
Sun: Just enjoy the rest of your trip and everything will be cool! We got this!
The two Faunus, a male with horns and a female with rabbit ears who we saw earlier, wave goodbye and turn away. Sun struts over to Blake.
Sun: You'd think they'd never seen a fight before.
Blake: What are you doing here, Sun?
Sun: Diggin' the new outfit, by the way! (pointing to her ears) Never did like the bow.
Blake: (slapping his hand away) Sun!
Sun: Geez!
Blake: Have you been following me?!
Sun: (looking a touch abashed) I saw you run off. The night Beacon fell. Once we landed in Vale, you made sure everyone was okay. And then you just took off, without saying anything.
Blake: I had to. You wouldn't understand.
Sun: No, I get it! The moment you left, I knew exactly what you were doing!
'Blake smiles at him, pleased at feeling understood.
Sun: You're going on a one-woman rampage against the White Fang!
Blake's happy expression falls.
Blake: (a little bit in disbelief) What?
Sun: You always felt like the Fang was your fight. They show up, trash your school, hurt your friends. It makes perfect sense!
Blake: I can't believe you.
Sun: But there's no way I'm letting you do this alone! It's an honorable approach, for sure, but you're going to need someone to watch your back. And that's where I come in! (putting his arm around her) Us Faunus got to stick together, after all.
Blake: You're wrong, Sun. (pushing him off) You're so, so wrong.
Blake turns her back on him and walks away.
Sun: What are you...
Blake: I'm not going anywhere near the White Fang. Not yet.
Sun: Seriously?
Blake: I need to sort some things out.
Sun: Then why not do it with your team? Your friends?
Blake: You're one to talk! Assuming Neptune, Sage, and Scarlet aren't hiding below deck!
Sun: You really think I could get Neptune on the ocean? They flew back to Mistral! I told them I'd catch up! It's not the first time I left them to take a boat! So, if you're not going after the White Fang, where are you going?
Blake: Home, to Menagerie.
Sun: Well, I'm coming with you. The Grimm are getting worse; you saw it yourself! And just because you're not going after the Fang doesn't mean they won't be coming for you! Besides, I'm... kind of already on the boat.
Blake: There's really no stopping you?
Sun: Nope! This is going to be great! Never been in Menagerie before! It'll be a regular journey to the east! Yeah, I like the sound of that.
Inside Salem's meeting room, Cinder Fall and Salem sit alone at the table. Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai wait by the door. Cinder is breathing heavily with effort while Salem has her right hand casually held out.
Salem: Do you feel it? Don't fight it, girl. It can sense your trepidation. You must make it dread you.
A soft clicking sound makes Cinder turn toward the door. All is blackness but for a slowly moving forward yellow glow. It is revealed to be inside a jellyfish-based Grimm with long red tentacles and a black and white body.
Emerald and Mercury react fearfully to it and pull back as it enters. It glides its way over to Salem at the head of the table. Once the Seer Grimm reaches her side, she leans closer to it. After a moment, she puts her hands together.
Salem: Cinder, I am going to ask you this one more time, and I expect a clear answer. Did you kill Ozpin?
Cinder holds her arm out, about to call Emerald over to speak for her. Salem slams both hands onto the table, eyes glowing as she speaks.
Salem: No!
Cinder lowers her arm.
Salem: I want to hear you say it.
Cinder: (rasping a few times first before speaking hoarsely) Yes.
Salem looks at her for a long moment before speaking.
Salem: (to the Seer Grimm) Reinforce our numbers at Beacon. The Relic is there.
The Seer Grimm glides away. At the door, Emerald and Mercury draw away from it just as they did before. Salem turns her head thoughtfully, looking in the direction away from Cinder and bringing her fingers to her chin.
Salem: What are you planning?
3 Weeks after the Fall, Y/N
Wade: You know? We've been out on the road for a while, how about we stop at a gas station to get some snacks?
Pyrrha: Well, there's still a few left.
Wade: That ain't gonna do it, Pyrrha.
Y/N: A few miles from here there's one.
Wade: (turns to him) one what?
Y/N: (slightly angered) One gas station!
Wade: Ok.
There was silence in the air for awhile before Pyrrha spoke up.
Pyrrha: Has something been bothering you, Y/N?
Y/N: (not taking his off the road) Your friends, they have been bothering me.
Wade: They're not even here!
Y/N: (pointing at Wade) Shut up, Wade!
Wade punches Y/N in the face, breaking his fist; but he doesn't know.
Y/N: (shouting) Don't fucking punch me!
Wade continues hitting Y/N, and Y/N blocks him. Y/N grabs his head and slams it onto the glovebox.
Y/N: Don't fucking hit me!
Pyrrha: Everyone calm down! Calm down..
Y/N eases, and Wade snaps his neck back.
Pyrrha: Let's talk this out, Y/N. What about them that have been bothering you?
Y/N: They've been showing up in my dreams.. Everytime I sleep.. I see their faces, and they spit at me like I'm a worthless Beowolf pup. (hits steering wheel)
Pyrrha: They have been bothering you that much?
Y/N: Yes they have, Pyrrha.
Wade: Hey, where's Laura, by the by?
Y/N: (looks at him and points at him) You don't get to talk to me.
Wade turns to Pyrrha and leans forward.
Wade: (whispering) Ask him where Laura is.
Pyrrha: Y/N, where is Laura?
Y/N: I don't know, but what I do know for sure is that, that kid can handle herself.
3 Weeks after The Fall, Laura Kinney
Laura is in a ring, fighting 10 Women for a few thousand Lien.
Laura catches an incoming fist and slams the woman onto the ground. She dodges an attack by ducking and rolled backwards to dodge a kick. She rolls to the side to evade a curb stomp and she hops back up.
Laura: That the best you can do?
Laura gets punched by a woman in the back of the head. She recoils and slams back her head, crushing the opponent's nose.
Laura looks back at the woman she hit and effortlessly kicks away an incoming woman. She turns back towards the other fighters and continues fighting.
She catches a woman in mid-air and throws her onto the ring wall. Laura gets grabbed and held in place as another woman charges up for a bodyslam.
Laura waits for the woman to charge forward and jumps at the right moment. The woman accidentally hits the other woman and they start fighting. Laura sits down and laughs.
She charges and does a double K.O on the two women.
Announcer: And with that, Laura Kinney wins!
Laura held her fist up. She walked out of the ring and grabbed her cash.
She gets out of the building and plops onto her motorcycle. She revs the bike and speeds off.
Still on the road, she takes out her scroll and types a message.
3 Weeks after the Fall, Y/N
The three has already arrived at the gas station and when Pyrrha and Y/N were getting foodstuffs, Wade was taking a piss.
He gets a message from his scroll.
Laura:
Where are you guys?
Wade:
On a road trip.
Laura:
To where?
Wade:
Dunno, Y/N hasn't told me yet.
Laura:
You're with Y/N?
Wade:
Yep, wish I wasn't though.
Laura:
I got your location, I'm coming over.
Wade:
Wait, what? No.
Wade gets out of the bathroom and hurries to Y/N.
Wade: Yo, Y/N!
Y/N: (stops talking to Pyrrha, Pyrrha sees the cashier wave at her, signaling that the coffee is done) Yeah?
Wade: It's Laura man. She said she was coming over.
Y/N: What?!
A motorcycle stops at the gas station. The person stands up and waves at them.
Laura: Hey, dad!
Y/N looks at Wade who shares the same look.
Laura: Hi Pyrrha!
Pyrrha: (comes out with three coffee cups) Hello again!~
5 Months after the Fall, Oscar Pine
Oscar Pine carries a pitchfork into the barn, which has loose bits of hay strung about the floor. He passes a sink with a mirror behind it, and something makes him pause and take a closer look. He sees his own reflection and lifts a lock of his hair, as if expecting something different.
He leans forward and examines the mirror more closely.
Oscar: Hello?
Just as Oscar is about to back away, a voice booms out, sending him crashing backward.
Ozpin: Hello! I'm Professor Ozpin!
Oscar looks up at the sink and mirror from the floor of the barn, breathing heavily. From outside the barn, a woman's voice calls out.
Oscar's Aunt: Oscar? You be careful with those tools!
5 Months after the Fall, Yang Xiao Long
Yang Xiao Long is inside a nightmare. All around her are broken pieces of buildings and darkness. She looks around, confused, and lets out a small gasp when she looks down. She raises both of her arms and turns them, examining their presence, particularly her right arm.
Yang looks up from her arms to see Adam Taurus walking toward her. The red accents in his hair, mask and outfit have a surreal glow. Yang steps back defensively and discovers that she is suddenly wearing Ember Celica. She blasts Adam five times, but they do nothing to him while he steadily continues walking closer.
Adam puts his right hand on the handle of his sheathed sword. Yang tries to attack him again, but her weapon is gone, as is her right arm. She stares for a moment in confusion and disbelief and then startles when Adam is abruptly directly before her. He grins at her and starts to unsheath Wilt from Blush.
Then, Adam appears to be stabbed by three hot metal claws. The claws draw back and Adam falls to the ground, allowing Yang to see the new Monster before her. The Bigger Monster.
Orange glowing eyes shine in the silhouette of a man with glowing claws. Those same glowing claws seem to spark and light up the surroundings. Then, behind the man, fire enraged, reaching to unimaginable heights.
The poor girl could see his face. The face of a man who knows no mercy. The Man gritted his teeth, he had canines as sharp as razor. His face was full of anger and hatred that seemed to be pointed towards her.
The Man's stance is as if he is an animal, showing intimidation, like a tiger; waiting to pounce. He lowers even further, his claws were now touching the floor.
His claws, created sparks from the friction of his claws and the ground. The Man roars and lunges at her.
Yang awakens with a gasp. She is in her room, lying on top of her bed. The robotic arm given to her by General Ironwood rests on her bedside table, out of the box. Yang looks at it for a moment before turning her face away. She hears laughter coming from downstairs.
Yang heads downstairs to discover Professors Bartholomew Oobleck and Peter Port sitting at her kitchen table and laughing with her father, Taiyang Xiao Long. There's a bowl of fruit at the center of the table.
Port: And, and, and then, in comes Qrow, wearing a skirt! I was just a TA, I-I didn't know what to do, so I just... I just left the room to laugh!
Yang comes to the kitchen door while the three laugh.
Taiyang: We told him it was a kilt! He'd never worn a uniform before, so he didn't know!
Oobleck: That is terrible! What is wrong with you!?
Taiyang: Hey! The girls all said he had nice legs! I did that jerk a favor! Besides, that's not even the best part! See, then we-
Port puts his right leg on the tabletop, cutting off Taiyang.
Port: "Like what you see?"
The three laugh and Port loses his balance. He tries to save himself from falling, but ends up on the floor.
Port: Whoa-oh!
There's even more laughter. Taiyang claps from mirth and Port joins in the hilarity from the floor. Yang giggles too, covering her mouth, but the three teachers become alerted to her presence. Oobleck stands while Port gets up off the floor.
Port: Oh, uh, Miss Xiao Long! Uh, please, join us.
Yang enters while Oobleck laughs, a little bit embarrassed.
Oobleck: Oh, yes, yes, pull up a chair. Please, pull up a chair.
Yang: I'm good.
She hoists herself backward up onto the kitchen counter, beside where her father stands. Port and Oobleck sit back down.
Yang: So, what are you doing here?
Oobleck: Despite popular belief, teachers do have a life outside the classroom.
Port: Professor Goodwitch is working 'round the clock to restore Beacon to its former glory! But, Mistral wasn't built in a day. And we all need rest from time to time.
Taiyang: Now look, let's not worry about that right now. So, there we were, standing in the auditorium, looking at Qrow, wearing a skirt. Then Oz tells everyone, "It's time to work on our landing strategy!"
Oobleck: The Branwen twins have always been... interesting, to say the least.
Port: That sure didn't seem to stop young Tai.
Taiyang: Hey, come on, man, she's right here.
Port: Oh, please! She's a mature young woman! If she can handle combat, she can handle a few jabs at her old man!
Taiyang: That's not the issue, Pete! And besides, she's still a teenager!
Yang: "She" is also in the room, and can be directly spoken to. And I think I've been through enough to be considered an adult at this point.
Taiyang: (sighing) Adult or not, you've still got a long way to go before you're ready for the real world.
Yang: Oh my gosh! Does every father figure have the same three condescending phrases?
Taiyang: Yeah! But we only use them when we mean it!
Port and Oobleck look at each other as father and daughter argue, a touch uncomfortable. Oobleck takes a sip from his mug while Port pulls at his collar.
Yang: Is that so?
Taiyang: As a matter of fact, it is so! If you honestly think that you're ready to go out there on your own, ha, well I guess you lost some brain cells along with that arm.
Yang gasps and pulls back from her father's face while a stunned Port leans forward and Oobleck's mouth drops open and his glasses slip down. There's a comedic beat before the mug slips out of Oobleck's hand to safely land on the table. All three stare at Taiyang for a few seconds.
Yang: You... jerk!
Yang playfully punches Taiyang, and the father and daughter laugh together.
Oobleck: (whispering) Are we finally talking about the Goliath in the room?
Taiyang and Yang look at each other and then laugh. Relieved laughter comes from both Port and Oobleck.
Port: Oh, Miss Xiao L— Yang, if you don't mind me asking, why haven't you tried on the arm yet?
Oobleck: Oh, yes, yes! A piece of Atlas technology given out like that is rare indeed! Not to mention the effort it took to deliver it here. It seems a great many people want to see you returned to normal.
Yang: I'm... scared.
Taiyang takes a sideways step closer to Yang, watching and listening.
Yang: Everyone keeps talking about me getting back to normal. And I appreciate it, but... this is normal now.
Oobleck and Port exchange sad, knowing glances.
Yang: It's just taking me a while to get used to it.
Taiyang: Well, normal is what you make of it.
Yang: What is that supposed to mean? Do you want me to just pretend like nothing happened? I lost a part of me. A piece of me is gone. And it's never coming back.
Taiyang: You're right. It's not coming back. But that doesn't have to stop you from becoming who you wanna be. You're Yang Xiao Long, my sunny little dragon.
Taiyang puts his hand on his daughter's shoulder.
Taiyang: You can do whatever you put your mind to. So whenever you're ready to stop moping, and get back out there, I'll be there for you.
Yang: I... I...
Port: Fear is like any other emotion. It comes and goes. It's all in how you handle it. Why, even I find myself wrestling with that emotion from time to time.
Yang: (unconvinced) Really? You?
Oobleck: (whispering) He's afraid of mice.
Port: (pounding the table) They bring only disease and famine!
Yang laughs while Port rants about the creepiness of mice. Taiyang watches her.
Port: And don't even get me started on their tails! So hairless, and simply unnatural!
Oobleck: Port, I assure you, you are safe. There's no mice here right now.
The scene transitions to Yang taking the last steps at the top of the stairs. She turns partially and lifts her hand to those below.
Yang: Goodnight!
The arm on the bedside table is the first thing she sees when she walks into her room. She looks at it for a moment but then moves to the window when she hears the front door to the house open followed by the voices of the three men. She decides to stand out of side beside the window and listen.
Port: Thanks for having us over, Tai.
Taiyang: Any time. You're always welcome.
Oobleck: It may be a while before we return. There is still much work to be done at the school.
Port: I hesitate to ask, but is there any word from young Miss Rose?
Behind Taiyang, Yang moves into visibility at her bedroom window.
Taiyang: Not yet.
Oobleck: Have you thought about going after her? Trying to bring her home?
Taiyang: (sighs) I've got to... look after some things.
As Taiyang glances toward her bedroom window, Yang moves out of sight again and squeezes her right upper arm, looking dejected.
5 Months after the Fall, RNJR
On a path through the woods, Team RNJR moves forward with Ruby looking at a map.
Ruby: Come on, guys! If we pick up the pace, we can hit the next town before sunset!
Jaune: Assuming it's still there.
Ruby: Of course it'll be there. This one's supposed to be pretty big! Hee-gan...bayn-a.
Ren: Higanbana. It's a well protected village with a popular inn.
Nora: Which means, no camping in the rain!
Ruby: See? Everything's going to be fine!
Jaune: You know, we've had a lot of ups and downs. But things could be a lot worse. I really thought we'd see more Grimm.
Ren: As did I.
Nora: I guess our luck is finally turning around!
The scene changes to Team RNJR being viewed from above, a rocky outcropping just on the edge of the view.
Nora: To Higanbana!
Jaune and Ren: To Higanbana!
Ruby: To Higanban... ban-a!
A Beowolf stomps into view and growls at the four kids. Just as it is about to leap, it is stabbed through by Qrow. Three disintegrating bodies of other Beowolves are just behind him. A black raven caws from a tree branch on eye level with Qrow, catching his attention. He looks at it and it flies off, following RNJR.
Qrow: (scoffing) Luck.
It's raining on the village of Higanbana. Through the window of an inn, the four kids are shown silently discussing with the proprietor. A backward zooms brings the visual out into the street, and through yet another window being viewed from the inside of a tavern. Qrow sits at a table, watching.
A waitress sets a glass with liquor and ice in front of him.
Qrow: Oh, I didn't o—
Waitress: From the woman upstairs. Red eyes. Said you wouldn't mind bottom shelf.
Qrow turns and looks up. An overhead shot shows the spacious lower level of the tavern and its several round tables, while the edge of a balcony is just visible. Qrow turns back.
Qrow: Thanks.
Waitress: (winking) But I went ahead and gave you top. Lucky you.
With a pleased smirk, Qrow watches the waitress as she walks away. After she is gone, he looks through the two windows to see no one visible in the lobby of the inn.
Qrow: Yeah.
He takes his glass and heads upstairs. Raven waits for him at one of the tables.
Raven: Hello. Brother.
Qrow stares at her from the top of the stairs for a moment before moving to him.
Qrow: Raven.
He pulls the chair that's beside her and drags it to a position across from her instead. With his hand on the back of the chair, he simply looks at her expectantly. Qrow sits down.
Qrow: So, what do you want?
Raven: A girl can't just catch up with her family?
Qrow: She can, but you're not. Now how 'bout we get on with it? Unless you plan on keeping these comin'.
He sets the glass down.
Raven: Does she have it?
Qrow doesn't answer right away, instead running his fingertip along the edge of his glass.
Qrow: Did you know Yang lost her arm?
Raven: That's not—
Qrow: Rhetorical question, I know you know. It's just obnoxious that you'd bring up family and then carry on like your own daughter doesn't exist.
Raven: I saved her.
Qrow: Once. Because that was your rule, right? Real "Mom of the Year" material, sis. Yeah, He'd be proud.
Raven leans forward and grabs Qrow by the forearm, stilling his sarcastic, nonchalant motions. The view slowly spins above their heads as she speaks intently to him.
Raven: I told you Beacon would fall and it did. I told you Ozpin would fail and he has. Now you tell me. Does. Salem. Have it?
Qrow: I thought you weren't interested in all of that.
Raven: I just want to know what we are up against.
Qrow: And which "we" are you referring to?
Raven glares and finally lets go of her brother and sits back down with a noise of disgust.
Qrow: You should come back, Raven. The only way we'd beat her is by working together. All of us.
Raven: You're the one who left The Tribe. He raised us, and you turned your back on him.
Qrow: He is a killer.
Raven: He is your family.
Qrow: You have a very skewed perception of that word.
Raven stands up, upset.
Raven: I lead our people now. And as leader, I will do everything in my power to ensure our survival.
Qrow: I saw. The people of Shion saw, too.
Raven: The weak die, the strong live. Those are the rules.
Qrow: Well, you've certainly got someone strong on your side. I've seen the damage.
Raven: (turning away) We couldn't have known the Grimm would set in as quickly as they did.
Qrow: I'm not talking about the Grimm.
Still not facing Qrow, Raven looks up, eyes widening slightly at his words.
Qrow: And I'm not talking about you, either.
Raven: If you don't know where the Relic is, then we have nothing left to talk about.
As she reaches for her mask, Qrow grabs onto the top of it.
Qrow: I don't know where the Spring Maiden is, either, but if you do, I need you to tell me.
Raven: And why would I do that? (pulling her mask out of Qrow's grasp)
Qrow: Because without her, we're all going to die.
A moment of tense silence passes between them as a nearby lantern dies out.
Raven: (scoffing) And which "we" are you referring to?
Qrow grimaces as Raven walks away. The sound of her sword getting unsheathed is heard and he looks up, unhappy. Raven walks into her red portal and disappears.
There's the sound of breaking glass and a gasp. Qrow turns to see the waitress, trembling at the sight of Raven disappearing. She takes a cautious step backward as she looks sideways at Qrow.
Qrow: (gesturing to his glass) Make this one a double.
Back at Patch, Taiyang is outside the house, watering his bed of sunflowers. Yang comes out, wearing the robotic arm. She uses it automatically to shade her eyes from the sun, and then looks down at the metal hand interestedly, moving the fingers around. Taiyang stands.
Taiyang: Okay. Let's get started.
2 Months after the Fall, Y/N
Pyrrha: (looking at map) we should be close to it.
Laura: Are you sure?
Pyrrha: No, but I think we are.
Y/N: Here, give me. (Pyrrha hands him the map) Okay, you're right.
Pyrrha: (quietly) Yes.
The group were driving through the forest. Lush trees made the air fresh and a tad cold.
Wade: You should slow down the car Laura, we'll miss it.
Laura: Ugh, you guys are soo boring.
Wade: Hey! I just want to get out of this car!
Y/N: Jump then.
Pyrrha: Y/N!
Y/N: What? He said he wanted to get out.
A few minutes later.
Pyrrha looks to the side and sees a sign. The sign read: Warning! Bandits!
Pyrrha: I think we're close.
Y/N: Stop up here.
The group stopped and stepped out of the vehicle. Pyrrha and Wade grabbed their weapons. Y/N smells the air, he could smell the scent of meat cooking and smoke.
Y/N: This is definitely the spot.
Laura: Ooh, what's that I smell?
Pyrrha: Wade, I don't think you should be wearing that outfit.
Wade: Hey! This costume is very awesome. I spent 2000 Lien making it.
Laura: Where'd you get that sort of cash?
Wade: You keep quiet, Laura! (Laura snickers)
Pyrrha: (walks over to Y/N) Are you okay?
Y/N: Nah, I'm alright. (Turns to Pyrrha) I'm worried about you. You might get hurt.
Pyrrha: Look, Y/N; You shouldn't worry about me. I can handle myself.
Y/N: That's the Pyrrha I know. You know? You're a lot different than what you were before.
Pyrrha: Is that a good thing?
Y/N: Yeah. You've grown more mature than before.
Pyrrha: I guess being friends with a centuries-old man can do that to you.
Y/N and Pyrrha laugh.
Laura: (finishes covering the car with a gillie suit for cars) Alright, car's covered.
Y/N: We're good to go. (Signals them to go) C'mon.
After a few minutes of walking and joking around, they finally reach the camp. The group quickly hide behind a rock.
Wade: What the hell kind of gate is that?
Pyrrha: One that isn't very useful.
Laura: It looks like an oversized fence gate.
Y/N: Stop talking about the damn gate for a second. (looks back at the gate)
Wade: We could just knock out the guards.
Pyrrha: No! That will make a bad first impression.
Laura: Maybe if we just ask nicely, we can get in!
Y/N: We could.
Laura: Dad. I was joking.
Y/N: But we could.
Pyrrha: I suggest talking to them first.
Wade: Alright, let's see how I do. (vaults over the rock and slides down the Landslide)
Y/N: I swear if he gets attacked before he does anything.
Pyrrha: Have a little faith, Y/N.
Laura: He'll do fine.. did he just get-?
Y/N: Stabbed, yeah.
Pyrrha: I think we should help him.
Y/N: We should?
Laura and Pyrrha immediately goes to the guards and knocked them out.
Y/N: (walking over with arms raised in a "what the fuck, man?" kind) I thought you said we were going to have a bad first impression of we did that!
Pyrrha: (to the guard) Sorry!
Wade opens the gate door.
Immediately, weapons are aimed at them.
Vernal: Well, well, well.. look what we have here.
Y/N and the group raised their hands. Vernal walks through the crowd to speak to them.
Vernal: Intruders, huh? What makes you think it was a good idea to sneak inside a bandit camp?
Y/N: (arms still up) I need to talk with your boss.
Vernal: (pushes Y/N) You don't have the privilege.
Laura: Do. Not. Push. My Dad.
Vernal: Uh huh? And what are you going to do? You have weapons aimed at you.
Y/N pushes Pyrrha behind him.
Vernal: What should we do, people?
The crowd said "Burn them!", "Hang them!", And "Torture them!" And etc.
Pyrrha looked frightened and it only made Y/N more pissed.
Wade: (cheerfully) Well. What do we do?
Y/N slowly closes his fist and Laura did the same. Pyrrha and Wade saw this and they got into their fighting stance.
Y/N and Laura quickly pull out their claws. The Bandits readied themselves.
Vernal: Woah!
Y/N went into his defensive stance since Pyrrha was behind him.
Raven: What is going on out here?!
Vernal: Raven! we have four Intruders who came into our camp.
Raven: Let me see their faces.
Y/N looked at Pyrrha who was in her battle stance. The crowd gave way for Raven.
Raven: Y-Y/N...
Y/N: I need to talk to you.
Raven: Lower your weapons! (The Bandits did so) Come inside the tent. (Raven starts walking back to her tent)
The Bandits dispersed and Vernal had a dirty look at Y/N and the group.
Raven: (stops and waits for Y/N) and your friends can stay outside.
Y/N: (looks at Raven and back at his group) I'll be back in a sec. (The group nods and goes to find a place to shelter)
Y/N walks towards the tent and he goes inside.
The tent was dark, only a few lights lit up the place and the lights themselves were dim. The tent had palm leaves hanging down on the wall as decorations. There was a small grandfather clock in the corner of the tent.
The floors were carpet and there was a small table that had pillows for seat in the middle.
Raven: Y/N.. you're finally here! (Hugs Y/N) I miss you..
Y/N: I uhh.. our meeting in the train was very.. painful..
Raven: I'm sorry I did that to you, my emotions took over.
Y/N: It's fine. (Looks around) Nice place.
Raven: Thank you. (Sits down at the table) come sit.
Y/N walks over and sits down.
Y/N: Look, uh.. Raven.. I lost my memory years ago.. could you explain for me on how we met?
Raven: Well..
Flashback 32 years before the fall
A small child was hugging another child in a facility of some sorts. An alarm was going off and Atlesian Soldiers were running in and out of the rooms. It was a girl and a boy. Both had black hair.
Screams of soldiers could be heard from the hallway. A scientist was thrown across the hallway and into the room they were in.
A bearded man with a white tank top which was torn by bullets came inside the room. He had metal claws and the metal claws glowed a slight orange as if it is heated.
The Man plunged his claws into the scientist and pulled it out. The Man looked to his side and saw the children looking at the scene.
The Man regretted doing it in front of the children and he picked them up. The children started crying.
Y/N: (trying to calm them down) Hey, hey, you're alright, you're alright.
Y/N looks around and created a hole to escape through. It turns out, they were in Atlas and Y/N was trying to put an end to the Weapon X program.
Y/N quickly went to his car and put a jacket to cover the two from the cold.
Y/N: You're alright, I won't hurt you.
The children still cowered in fear and huddled. Y/N starts the car and drives away from the facility. On the way out, the car was shot all over.
The car stopped in the middle of the road and Y/N gets out to check the engine. The engine was shot and the tires were flat.
Y/N started to panic for the children's safety. He looks around and gets the children.
Little Qrow: I-It's c-c-cold..
Y/N: I know bud, I know. I'll get you to a fire.
Little Raven: I-I can help.
Y/N looks at her and smiles weakly, knowing she couldn't do anything. Raven puts out her hand and focuses.
A little spark appeared out of nowhere, and then later, a small portal appears.
Y/N: (quietly) What did they do to you?
Little Raven: That will take us to somewhere warm.
Y/N nods and goes inside the portal with the children in his hands. Y/N steps out of the portal and looks around his surroundings. It was night in Atlas and it was day in where ever this place is at.
Y/N sets the kids down. The children sighed relief and lays down on the ground.
Little Qrow: Warm..
Y/N chuckles and looks at a tree. He slashes the wood and the tree falls down.
A few hours pass
He cuts the logs into tiny pieces and created a small wooden hut for the children.
Y/N: Alright, stay here for a while.
Little Qrow: He left us! He left us! He left us!
Y/N: Who left?
Little Raven: Our dad..
Y/N: Alright stay here for a while.
Little Qrow: But-But he left us! He left us!
Y/N: But that's not what I'm going to do. (Holds Qrow's head) Stay here and stay calm, I'm not leaving you.
Y/N looks at little Raven and she nods, Y/N gets out of the hut and went to hunt for food.
Timeskip 28 years before the Fall
Raven and Qrow were 10 years old and Y/N had made a tribe, he called it the Branwen Tribe.
Qrow and Raven were training. They had learnt to hunt food, make a campfire, and kill Grimm, now; they must need to learn how to fight the ultimate danger: Humans.
Y/N is watching the two kids train as he cuts another log in half.
Raven gains the advantage and knocks Qrow down. Raven sits down to drink her well deserved sweet tea.
Qrow: I'm telling you Y/N, My mutant power is bad luck! I can't catch fish, I can't hang a picture correctly, and I can't even walk right, I mean I always trip!
Y/N: Maybe Qrow. (Helps Qrow up) or maybe you're just bad at it.
Qrow starts hitting him with the wooden sword.
Qrow: I am not bad at swordplay! (Y/N catches his blind swing)
Y/N drops down to Qrow's level.
Y/N: Don't swing blindly, you'll only get hurt. (Y/N stands up) let's try fist fighting.
Qrow: I'm good at that one!
Timeskip 23 years before the fall
It was dusk and Y/N was on the scroll with his lover on the other side of the world, in Atlas. She is a scientist, her name? Sarah Kinney.
Raven and Qrow are 15 years old, and they are both in combat schools. Though, because they had a different childhood, Raven became aggressive and Qrow became a bad child, he smoked and drank.
Y/N: (on the scroll) You're pregnant?! Yes!!
Y/N: (on the scroll) Alright, I'm coming over. Alright, love you.
Raven: Who was that?
Y/N: It was Sarah, she said she was pregnant! You're gonna have a sister!
Raven: (scoffs) whatever. (Walks away)
Y/N: Aren't you happy?
Raven: No, I don't think I am, Y/N. Every other kid has parents, they have their mothers and fathers, yet me and Qrow have to deal with this piece of shit of a father figure that only knows how to chop down logs. Where is the old Y/N? Where is the famous Wolverine?
Y/N: (now stern and strict) Raven! You do not speak to me that way!
Raven: You don't have the right to order me, you're not even my real dad! You are nothing to me!
Y/N unconciously unseathes his claws, this was the first time Raven had saw Y/N open his claws in front of her and she was startled.
Y/N: I hide these from you so that you don't think I'm a freak, so that you don't remember your life back in that facility. But now, what's the point..
Y/N walks closer to her, Raven takes a step back.
Y/N: I know your friends mock you for not having an aura, I know you aren't a perfect person like humans and faunus. I know you don't like having no parents.
Y/N grabs Raven's arms as he drops down in front of her.
Y/N: But if I could change your life, change Qrow's life; I would do anything. I would spare my life to give you a normal life, so just please, please be the Raven I used to know.
Y/N hangs his head down, holding back his tears after unveiling his bottled up feelings.
Raven: Even if you would spare your life for me, you can't. You don't have control, you don't even have control over yourself, you can't even die if you wanted to.
Raven: You wanted me to be the Raven you used to know. But people change. (Walks away)
Raven: At least I'm still a better person than a no-good murderer.
Y/N broke down into tears and roars a roar of pain.
The next morning, Raven found a note beside her bedside-table. She picks it up and reads the note while rubbing her eyes.
The note reads:
"Dear Children, I know you've been through a lot and I know you want me gone. So I'm visiting Sarah for the next couple of weeks. I left money, valuables and gold in the safe, the code is 2708, the day I found you. Anyways, enough with the money-talk. If I ever go missing, or never come back, don't come find me. The money in the safe will be enough to support you for the next 2 years, and then you'll be on your own when you're 17..
I know it's hard, and it takes a lot of responsibility to manage a tribe, so I made Kinto leader if I don't come back. When he dies, Raven will become tribe leader.
You both know that I love you, right? I love you with all of my heart, and I hope you become good and loving people, unlike me. And with this, I say goodbye. I love you.

Raven thought nothing of it and she knows that Y/N will come back within a few week's time.
But a month has passed and Y/N hasn't come back yet. Qrow didn't mind anything of it and he thought Y/N was just still hanging out with Sarah. Raven had a slight concern, because Y/N had never broken a promise he made to her.
Two months have passed and Y/N did not show any signs of coming back. Raven began to think terrible things.
Raven was in her room, looking out a window, saying things to herself, saying scenarios that maybe happened to Y/N.
Raven: (to herself) Did he leave me because of something I said? Did he not care about me anymore? Did he get captured? Is.. is.. he d-dead? No, that can't be. He's strong, he knows how to protect himself.
Qrow: (knocks on door, and speaking as if he was holding back tears) Raven? T-There was a note on the front porch, I think you should see it.
Qrow slips the note under the door and he leaves.
Raven looks at the note and sees an Atlesian Insignia. She picks it up and reads the whole note.
"Dear Family member, We are sorry to say that Y/N has passed away, he was found in our scientist, Sarah Kinney's house. The both of them were were found dead, the cause of death was poison. His funeral will not be held because he has committed various massacres and murders in his lifetime.
Thank you for understanding."
Raven broke down crying, the thought of having lost her father figure. She wanted a real father, but now, she wanted Y/N back.
Raven: (to Y/N) I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, forgive me Y/N.
She layed down on the floor and hugs the note Y/N gave for her and Qrow.
Meanwhile in Atlas
Y/N was being tortured by the Atlesian government.
He was shocked all over his body and he was held down by chains made of adamantium.
Atlesian Scientist: More, then we can move to the memory erasement.
Y/N: My child.... My children..
Y/N starts to pull on the chains.
Atlesian General: No time, four-eyes! Do the memory erasement, now!
Y/N was forced to put on the Helmet with the red visor. And a flash happens. Y/N roars but stops when he had lost all memory.
Y/N has forgotten all his memories, he has forgotten his child, his name, and his mutant power.
Because his memories are gone, he remembers nothing of morals, rules, and judgement. He sees himself being hurt by them, he hurts them back, he is reborn.
The Wolverine, back to his primal instincts.
Meanwhile, Raven
Raven hasn't had a day where she wouldn't miss the sound of cooking in kitchen, the sound of trees being chopped down, and since then, she had been more aggressive than ever.
She sharpens Y/N's Black and Red sword everyday. His sword was of an enemy who held an adamantium sword. He has kept it since.
She trains with the sword everyday, and since then, she has gotten better at fighting.
Raven always kept Y/N's note with her to school. His words inspired her to become good. She planned on being a Huntress to make him proud.
Raven would look at her room's ceiling and think to herself.
Raven: "I never said I love you back to him"
She dreamt of seeing him again and waking up to see him chopping down trees to make her house. Y/N promised Raven that he would build her own house. She could tell Y/N loved every single part of it, since his claws were sharper than his axe.
Timeskip, 21 Years before the Fall
Raven and Qrow eventually got into Beacon.
Qrow had gotten over Y/N's death, because he and him had little to no fights. Even if Qrow was disappointed at Y/N, the next day he would say sorry, spend time and have fun with him.
Raven searches for a man like him. To Raven, Y/N was the perfect father for a child, that's why her standards were set up to him.
Raven never did things that meant a lot to Y/N, even little things like saying thank you for saving Qrow and her, and I love you too, those words to Y/N meant the world.
Timeskip, 15 years before the Fall
Raven eventually found out that the 2 months Y/N was gone for, he was tortured. Raven grew angry and made her tribe into a hostile one, causing Qrow to leave the tribe.
Raven thought of that as an ungrateful and disrespectful act against Y/N. Then She finds out that Y/N isn't even dead, which meant she could see him again and hug him just like she used to when she was a kid.
But the catch, Y/N doesn't know his past, Raven ignored it and went to look for Y/N.
Flashback ends
Raven: And the rest is history.
Y/N: I'm sorry..
Raven: No! No! Please don't say that! I'm the one who messed up, and I'm the one who should say sorry.
Y/N: Look, the past me would've forgiven you no matter what, Raven.
Raven smiles and goes to hug him. She still can smell his usual body-scent. Y/N's memories flood in, he relives every memory he had with her from the beginning and he becomes teary-eyed.
Y/N hugs her back while holding her head.
Raven: Y/N.. (hugs tighter) Thank you
