I stared at Cinder and she stared right back at me with her glowing orange eyes. Everything was quiet until I decided to break it.
Y/n:Cinder look at what you did. Do you see all this destruction caused by you? Do you see the innocents you've killed? You did all this just so you could have the Fall maiden's power. How many more lives are you going to take and destroy until you're done?
Cinder:oh don't worry little brother. I'll call off all the remaining Grimm once I kill you. And once I do that I'll have less things standing in my way.
Cinder then summons her two swords and gets into a stance. I get ready to fight her but as I reached out for one of the weapons floating around me armiger suddenly stops working and I fall onto the ground exhausted. As she saw this she puts away her swords and begins to laugh at me.
Cinder:it seems you've reached your limit y/n.
I grit my teeth and try to get up but the pain in my arms stop me from doing so.
Cinder:just give up y/n. I've already killed your headmaster and the champion of Mistral. If they couldn't beat me what chance do you have?
Y/n:shut up!
I began to struggle even more but like last time I fail to move even an inch. Cinder then looks at me sadly and says.
Cinder:why would you join Ozpin rather than me y/n?
Y/n:well for one he didn't kill my mom.
Cinder:yes he didn't kill our mom. But he's done something worse.
Y/n:what do you mean?
Cinder:did he really not tell you? Actually I'm not surprised I mean manipulating an entire race just so he could beat Salem is pretty bad. But what makes it worse is that turned them against their king and manipulated them to fight Salem which nearly brought the entire race to extinction.
Y/n:I'm not falling for your tricks Cinder.
Cinder:is it really a trick y/n? Did he ever tell you why he knows about Salem?
I stay silent and continue to stare at her while slowly moving my hand towards my pocket.
Cinder:It seems he hasn't. But don't worry I'll tell you why. You see-
As my hand enters the pocket and I feel what I was reaching for I quickly muster up all the strength I had left and place the item onto my finger.
Salem's castle
A man sat at a desk bored while tapping his finger on the desk.
???:can something interesting please just happen. I've been sitting here for hours with nothing to do but tap my fingers on this damned desk. Makes me wonder if the gods also cursed me to be forever bored.
But his bored expression soon changes into a smile as he feels a familiar power.
???:my, this is a power I haven't felt in awhile. I must see it.
As he says this he stands up and begins to focus on the familiar power and once he pinpoints its location he opens a portal in front of him and walk into it.
Beacon
Y/n p.o.v
As I placed the ring of the Lucii onto my finger I feel sudden burst of energy along with a sudden burst of pain.
Y/n:ahhh!
Cinder is pushed back from the ring's power and it's power continues to push itself into me. The pain suddenly stops and a voice suddenly speaks and everything around me begins to slow down.
???:you are not a king of Lucius. Take it off before you hurt yourself or worse kill yourself.
I look toward to where the voice was coming from and see a person in armor holding the sword of the father towards the ground.
Y/n:who are you?
As I say this 12 other people in armor appear around me each of them holding a royal arm.
???:we are the kings of Lucius. Now take off the ring and return it to the next king of Lucius.
Y/n:I'm sorry but I can't do that I still need to beat Cinder. Either way there is no next king of Lucius. Your entire race died long ago.
The king holding the star of the rogue says.
???:impossible.
Y/n:sorry but it's true. Anyways seeing that your the kings of Lucius I want to ask for your strength in battle.
The king holding the mace of the fierce then speaks up
???:who are you to command us!? You have no right to do so!
Y/n:you're right I don't have the right to command you kings. But I need this power. I don't have a choice. If you don't grant me your power right now then millions of people will die. So please just grant me your power.
All of the kings look at each other and nod. The king holding the sword of the father then says.
???:we have decided to grant you our power but be warned this power is limited. And we cannot be sure if you will live or come out in one piece once the power leaves your body.
Y/n:don't need a warning. I know the consequences I would have to face if I ever used this power.
???:prepare yourself as our power will now aid you in battle.
I close my eyes as they all begin to raise their weapons and their bodies begin to shine bright. I then think back to when I promised Ruby that I wouldn't use the ring.
Y/n:I'm sorry Ruby.
And as I say that the bright light disappears and everything around me begins moving normally again. Cinder was kneeling on the ground looking at me in shock. My eyes then suddenly begin to burn and I hold them in pain and for a brief moment I couldn't see anything. But once the moment passes the burning in my eyes disappear and my sight returns. I began to breath heavily and Cinder begins to look at me afraid. Once I caught my breath I activated armiger again and run at Cinder while holding the engine blade. Cinder quickly stands up and summons her swords the block my attack. But as my sword connected with hers she was launched off the building due to the amount of strength I put behind the attack. She then caught herself in the air and began to fly towards me and I begin to fly towards her. And once we were close enough to attack each other she swing her sword horizontally at me but I fly back to dodge it. She then begins to shoot lightning at me but I swiftly dodge each one and every time I get close to her she would parry my attacks and try to freeze me. So I had no choice but to stay back and shoot the royal arms around me at her but that also seemed to be useless. She then raises her right arm up and I look up to see what she was doing. Right above her was a small ball of fire but once she closed her hand into a fist the ball of fire suddenly grew bigger into the size of a house. I could feel the amount of fire energy coming off of the ball of fire and I cover my face with my arm to protect myself from the heat. Cinder then throws it right at me and I couldn't escape due to it being so big. So I had no choice but to attack it head on and I did so by aiming all of the royal arm at the ball of fire and launching them at it to hold it back. And after awhile of doing so the ball explodes launching both me a Cinder away from each other but while I was being launched back I aim my arm towards Cinder and make the royal arms follow her as she flys away. And once we both stop moving I bring my arm down and the royal arms that were above Cinder fall onto her damaging her aura. And once they stopped falling she summons a lightning bolt above me striking me down towards the ground. She too then falls to the ground due to exhaustion and we were now on the ground tired. I then begin to feel the power of the kings slowly begin to fade so I charge up the last of my power into one last attack and Cinder seemed to be doing the same. And once I finally charge up my last attack the royals arms turn horizontally towards Cinder and shoot a beam of light blue energy at Cinder. While she shoots out a beam of multiple elements and once they crash into each other an explosion happens launching us away from each other once again. And as I was launched back everything around me soon turns dark but my eyes weren't closed.

I watched as Cinder and her brother are both launched away from each other. And once the dust settled I could see that Cinder was victorious. She was slowly standing up and once she finally got up Mercury and Emerald run towards her and begin to help her walk. Normally Cinder wouldn't accept their help but she had no choice her brother did a number on her. I then look towards her brother and see that he was still breathing so I decided to check on him. I then began to walk towards him and once I made it near him he suddenly began to look around as if he were looking for something. But as his face turns toward me he didn't stop looking it was almost as if he couldn't see anything. Knowing this I begin to walk closer to his body and kneel down next to him.
Y/n:who's there? Qrow? Mrs. Goodwitch? Ironwood?
???:I'm sorry but I'm none of them. But you can call me Ardyn.
Y/n:Ardyn? What are you doing here?
Ardyn:you see I suddenly felt the kings power after so long. So I've decided to see who has awoken them and I must say I am surprised to see another Lucian after so long.
Y/n:what?
Ardyn:did you honestly not know you were a Lucian? You were clearly using Lucian magic while you were fighting Cinder.
Y/n:how do you know her?
Ardyn:I'm her co-worker.
Y/n:you work for Salem. Why would you work for her?
Ardyn:oh I'm getting to that part just keep listening.
Y/n:yeah I'd rather not.
As he says this he summons his sword into his hand and tries to slash at me but I jump back to dodge it. And once I did I kicked him in the head which knocks him out.
Ardyn:look what you made me do y/n. If only you hadn't done maybe then we could've continued talking. And maybe then you would've been the first Lucian to know the truth. But I guess talking to another Lucian after so long is also good, so I thank you for that.
A blade then pierced through my chest from behind. I turn around to see who the culprit was and I see Cinder still being held by Mercury and Emerald with her arm held straight at me.
Cinder:what did you do to him?
I sigh and pull her sword out of my chest and as I did the wound began to slowly close up.
Ardyn:all I did was knock him out but that was on him for trying to attack me. But the blind part that was not me he only has himself to blame.
Cinder looks at me confused and worried.
Cinder:blind? He's blind!?
Ardyn:yes he is blind.
Cinder:how?
Ardyn:well that was the price he had to pay for using the king's powers.
As I say this I raise y/n's right hand showing Cinder the ring of the Lucii.
Ardyn:did you know he was a Lucian?
Cinder:what?
Ardyn:never mind. Come on then I'll take you guys home.
I lifted y/n up and place him on my shoulder and as I did Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury walk through the portal. But before I could walk through the portal with y/n a crow suddenly flys past me and it surprisingly turns into a person. And before I could summon a weapon he cuts off my arm that was keeping y/n on my shoulder. And before y/n could fall onto the ground a purple aura surrounds him and he begins to float towards a blonde woman. A man then points a gun at my head shoots but their jaws soon drop as they see me slowly begin to heal. I smile at them and bow.
Ardyn:good day ladies and gentlemen. I wish I could stay but it seems that time has run out.
As I say that I walk into the portal and close it as I find myself back in Salem's castle.
Qrow p.o.v
I watched as the portal the man walked through closed and as it did I placed my weapon back on my back and look at both Ironwood and Glynda.
Qrow:I'm not the only one that saw that right?
Ironwood:you're not the only one Qrow. That man was somehow able to survive a gunshot to the head.
Glynda:but how?
Ironwood:I don't know but we better get y/n here to a hospital.
We then began to make our way to the safe zone while Glynda used her semblance to carry y/n.
A/n:okay I'm not sure if the way I introduced Ardyn into this chapter was a good one. But either way I still introduced him into the story. And for the people that thought y/n was somehow related to the king of Lucius I'm sorry but he is not. Also Ardyn's backstory with the kingdom of Lucius will be a bit different. Also I will reveal what Cinder was talking about Ozpin. And the next few chapters will be about team JNPR, Team RWBY, and y/n.
