The Doctor gritted his teeth, slowly rising to his feet as he looked up. Ood Sigma stood there, his head tilted as he looked at him. "We will sing to you, Doctor," he said. "The universe will sing you and your wife to sleep." The Doctor nodded weakly, heading towards the TARDIS. "This song is ending, but the story never ends."

The Doctor entered the TARDIS, seeing Jessie collapsed by the console, her head bowed as she started breathing raggedly again. He sent the TARDIS off before crouching down by her, seeing golden regeneration energy seeping from his hands. He put his hands on her upper arms, seeing the white gold energy swirl around her as well as she slowly looked up at him. "I don't want to go," he admitted hoarsely.

"We go together," Jessie promised, raising her hands to his shoulders as they stood up slowly, keeping each other supported like they had these regenerations, their regeneration energy blurring their skin. "Together, always."

"To the end," the Doctor agreed, leaning down and kissing her.

She kissed him back before she flinched away, screaming as she flung her arms out, her regeneration taking over. The Doctor did the same, regenerating with her, fires bursting all around them as cables dropped from overhead, two regenerations at once from such reasons too much for the TARDIS to handle.

The Eleventh Doctor jerked out of his first, stumbling backwards, blinking his now emerald green eyes before he realized something. "Legs!" he cheered in a Manchester accent. "I've still got legs!" He kissed one of them before checking himself all over. "Good. Arms. Hands. Ooo, fingers." He brought them closer, looking them over and wiggling them. "Lots of fingers. Ears." He checked. "Yes. Eyes." He poked them, reeling back a bit. "Two. Nose." He felt, then shrugged. "I've had worse. Chin." He blinked. "Blimey! Hair!" He felt, then began to panic. "I'm a girl!" He felt at his neck, then nodded. "No. No, I'm not a girl." He took a lock of hair and pulled it down to check. "And still not ginger!" he whined.

"Well, thank God you're not a girl," a female American voice behind him said, and he whirled around as the Third Bad Wolf managed to get her balance, blinking and looking herself over. "Then I think I'd be in trouble."

The Doctor blinked rapidly, looking her over. She was a few inches taller than her last regeneration, and he was a bit shorter, so they were nearly even. Her blonde hair was now startling dark, not quite wavy, but also not straight, just a bit in between, and shorter than her last self, only going a bit past her shoulders. But her eyes were what made him stare. They were a stormy grey, captivating to look into, that he found himself looking just a bit longer than he'd meant to. "God, you're gorgeous," he breathed.

Jessie blushed. "Not so bad yourself," she said, looking him over.

The Doctor was about to say something else when he frowned. "There was something else," he began to say. "Something important. We're . . . we're . . . "

There was a bang from nearby, and the two Time Lords were sent into the console. "I'd say we're crashing!" Jessie laughed.

"Ha ha!" the Doctor cheered. "Woo hoo hoo!"

"Love from Asgard, Earth!" Jessie whooped, gripping a lever.

The Doctor flipped the matching one, yelling "Geronimo!" as they held on, the TARDIS swirling through space.

It was good to be alive!
