Chapter 1
Introduction
My name is Serani. My bro is Danny. My mother and father are both real estate agents. We just moved into this old light blue house. It's a little torn apart and it gives me the spooks. Honestly I wonder what my parents were even thinking... these old houses are just downright creepy. You know what I mean? Danny is my twin brother. We do almost everything by each others side except well ya know. We are both fifteen and are freshman. But sometimes I feel like I am older.
You know when we were little he use to scare me all the time. I could hear him speaking to himself, and he would call me a stalker. But it's his fault for speaking out loud to himself all the time. I wanted to tell my mom about it but she has always had such a difficult time at work. I thought it would be better if I just kept my mouth shut.
See being a real estate agent can be difficult. It's not like working at a hotel or cafe where you serve food or just sit at the desk and other various tasks where the customers come to you once you're in business. In the Real Estate it's really hard for my mom. Since we lived in such a poor neighborhood before. There was never new people, and therefore it was difficult for her to find customers. She thought a change of scenery might do the trick. So we decided to move back outside her hometown where I go to school.
We have to ride a bus to get to our school. Although I'm terrified of what that is going to be like. I've always had trouble getting along, and I get in so many fights where I usually hurt someone really badly
but the path there is full of a whole forest of creepy trees except for the road. I may be too focused on that, maybe I can ignore what people say about me behind my back this time... I hope so. I am able to see trees for hundreds of miles, completely leafless even though its spring. Their branches brush against each other making a crackling sound when the wind blows. It also gives me the spooks.
We have little to no neighbors, so it's usually dreary and suspenseful. We've only just moved in here. We've been here for at least one or two days but I still haven't unpacked everything. *sigh* We start school tommorow, Monday. Anyways onto my parents. My mother has this red curly beautiful long hair that shines. My father is a brunette with his short combed back hair. I'm a blond with long blond hair that goes about around to my waist. I inherited my hair from my great grandmother who died. At least my brother thinks so. Although sometimes I wish I had hair like my brother. My brother was born with auburn hair, even though neither my mum nor dad are.
I wonder what living in this house will be like?
