When Frosty showed up, everyone was still in their hug pile, surrounding the small child with all the love and warmth in the world
She felt a little bad for disrupting it but meh, the show must go on
"Hey, you all ready for the new song?" she asked, pointing a thumb behind her to the screen
"is it about genoside?" Undyne growled. Toriel glared softly at the fish women but she didn't say anything
"no actually. This song is called ROCKABYE. It's a song about when Sans and Papyrus were kids and...their growing up" She said, hesitanting a little
Everyone seemed happily surprised, thou Sans was a little worried. Thoes times weren't like they were now. They seemed much harder and...less happy. But none the less, he would take anything over genoside
"THAT WOULD BE NICE. I'M ACTUALLY QUITE EXUTED!" Papyrus said with a bit of relief in his tone. He didn't know if he or anyone could take any more genoside, atleat not without a break
"Guess we should get to it"
The screen lit up as everyone got more comfortable, still in their little hug pile. It was amazing how comfortable it was seeing as only Toriel was soft. The video began playing and everyone began to watch
The music started, it's beat catchy and hummable
(call it love and devotion. Call it brothers adoration, Foundation. A special bond of caring, hah)
There was no video yet, just someone sinning
(for all the lonely children out there going through frustration)
The screen lit up, showing a young Sans with a baby Papyrus wrapped up in a red scarf being carried by the older skeleton
They were walking down a snowey path, braving a blizzard as Sans tried to find shelter. It looked as if the older brother had been crying but he seemed to be ignoring that
"Wow, guess we have proof Sans is the older brother" Undyne said, grinning as Sans glared at her
"I'm not that short..." He mummbeld
Toriel chuckled slightly, finding it a little amusing that they both seemed to be ignoring the bigger picture. She felt something in her light when she saw thoes poor children in the harsh snow. Call it motherly instinct but she wished she had known about them so she could have helped them
She kinda felt bad
"He walks in the night, by the water. He's gonna stray, so far away from his brothers father"
A fading image of hands on Sans' shoulders appeared but they were gone in a sec
"huh?..." Mettaton mumbled
"He just wants a life for his brother."
"All on his own, no one will come. He's got to save him (daily struggle)
Sans found a alleyway where he sat down away from the blizzard but Papyrus was awake and crying now. So Sans did what he had always done
"He tells him"
"oh, love, no one's ever gonna hurt you, love"
"I'm gonna give you all of my love. Nobody matters like yooooou~"
"AWWWWW I MISS THAT SONG" Papyrus said. Sans smiled up at him, rubbing the kids head
Sans cradled the baby in his arms, moving back and forth in a calm and wavey motion
"he tells him"
"Your life ain't gonna be nothing like my life"
"Your gonna grow and have a good life"
Sans sang as he rubbed his brothers smooth skull. He felt tears overflow from his eye sockets but he wiped them away before they could fall down his cheek bones
"I'm gonna do what I got to do!"
Sans' eye glowed a soft blue and yellow color, swirling around in the wind creating a warm and soft glow that calmed down baby Papyrus
"You always liked it when I glowed my eye. Can't imagine why" Sans said, grinning slightly
"SANS I SWEAR, YOUR RYMES ARE EVEN MORE HORRIBLE THAN YOUR PUNS!" Papyrus said, groaning as he rubbed his temple
"...meanie"
Little Papyrus began to close his eyes, falling into a warm slumber as his brother rocked him back and forth
"So rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you"
"Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Somebody's got you"
"Rockabye baby, Rockabye. I'm gonna rock you"

The years flew by, images of small Papyrus learning to walk and Sans trying to find work
One image stayed of Papyrus taking his first steps but tripping over a stone. Just as he was about to hit the ground, he was engloved by a warm magic and lifted into his brother's waiting arms
The little baby giggeld, not a scratch on his white bones
"OH my God your cute!" Alphys squealed
"Hey Sans, got any pictures?" Undyne asked, shifting closer to Sans
"Well ya-"
"DON'T YOU DARE" Papyrus said, pushing Undyne back and placing a hand over his brothers mouth
"...meanie" Undyne mumbled
Sans watched at his little brother played with a old teddy bear he had found in the dump. Sans looked exhausted and his cloths were ripped but he was still smilling
(lonely brother you doing out there)
(Facaing the hard life, without no fear just so you know that you really care)
(cause any obstacle come your well prepared)
Sans wiped a tear that was forming in the corner of his eye socket. He was so tired but he was still going to push so Papyrus could have a better life than this
The younger brother smiled a small smile. He only now knew how much his brother actually did for him, to push aside his own wants and needs to focus solely on him
It scared and Papyrus but also made him happy
(And no brother, you never shed tear cause you have to shed things year after year)
(and you give the youth love beyond compare. You find the school fee and the boat fare)
Sans glanced down at the bit of gold they had and sighed with relief when he saw they just barely made it
"Wait, did you not get to go to school dear?" Toriel asked. Sans shook his head, looking down at his hands
"nah, but I was fine. My dad taught me a lot" Was all Sans said
Toriel got the impression that her friend didn't want to talk much on the matter so she did not press him further. Though she was curious
"Now he's got a six year old, trying to keep him warm. Trying to keep out the cold"
Papyrus looked up at his brother with watering eyes, crying that he was hungry and cold
Sans looked worriedly down at the small toddler as he took off his hoodie and scarf. He gave it to the child before pulling him into his lap and hugging him as close as he could to keep him warm
"when he looks in his eye, he don't know his is safe when he says..."

So Sans began to sway back and forth, ignoring how his bones shook from the cold

More years passed as the chorus played. Sans finally found a job working at Grilbys bar

He worked for years, doing extra shifts and working late hours till Grilby had to tell him to go home. Though it was exhausting it got them money and slowly, they were building up their life. Finally after years of living on the streets, Sans could afford enough for a big house for both him and his brother
Papyrus was so over joyed that he picked his brother up and spun hih around till he was dizzy
"Awwwww that's so sweet" Alphys said, getting a nodd from Frisk
"Heh, never thought I would say this but Sans, maybe your not as lazy as I thought" Undyne said, receiving another glare from Sans
Papyrus was the most silent. It was hard seeing all his brother had done for him but to see the reward made his soul feel warm
Then everything began. Frisk, Chara, the recets. Everything
Sans bolted up with his eye flaming blue and yellow and his soul pounding
Sweat was running down his skull and his eye lights were buzzing with panic
Sans cringed slightly. Thoes were the days in the begging, where being killed still affected him. They wernt nice but he definitely got used to it
It made Papyrus cringe too, now that he actually knew what scared his brother so bad
Papyrus burst into the room having herd his brother scream and saw him in a panic
"Now he's got a six year old. Trying to keep him warm"
Papyrus sighed as he moved over to his brother's bed and sat down next to hin

He took both his brothers hands in his own and made him look into his eyes

Sans began to sob as he lent on his brither ribs.

Papyrus began to sway back and forth, holding Sans while he clund onto him like it was his last life

Sans looked up at Papyrus who was smiling down at him with gentle eyes

Sans hugged Papyrus tighter, laying his skull down to rest once more
Two brother sat on a bed, content with one another as they drifted off to sleep
"Ah rockabye... "
It was silent for a while, no one really felt like talking
Many emotions were running through the brothers, ones they couldn't really place their finger on but they didn't really need to
Neither could stop tears flowing from their eyes, both for different reasons. Ones they didn't even know
Everyone saw the two skeletons crying, felt off the emotions they were giving to the world with their magic to pass them on
Frisk smiled as a idea came to her mind and she opened up her mouth
"OH love...no one's ever gonna hurt you love"
Everyone was momentarily shocked to hear the childs voice but Toriel soon smiled and continued on
"No one's ever gonna hurt you love" She sang in such a sweet and motherly voice
"I'm gonna give you all of my love" Mettaton sang in a simple and soft voice
"Nobody matters like yoooou~" Alphys and Undyne sang in harmony
"So rocabye baby. Rockabye" Frisk contuneid, rapping her arms around Sans
"I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry" Torile said as she hugged Papyrus, rubbing his tears away
"Somebody's got you. Rockabye baby, rockabye" Mettaton jumped in as he lengthened his arms so he could hug both brothers at the same time
"I'm gonna rock you. Rocabye baby, don't you cry" Alphys and Undyne sang while hugging Sans
Both Brothers felt so much love emitting from the other monsters, it nearly made their souls burst. They smiled at one another as they all sang the last vers
"Ah rockabye..."
