"Happy birthday too you" everyone finished singing as i blew out the candles that read '15'.
"Make a wish" my mom said from behind me.
I closed my eyes
I smiled at the evem the thought of my wish.
I reopened my eyes and looked down at my wrist to see if my soulmate mark is there yet and it was.

You see,in my world your soulmates first letter of there name appears on your wrist in black and when you touch them it turns to your favourite colour.
I thought who it could be.
It could be Bruno in my science class.
Or Ben in my social studies
Maybe even Belch.i shuddered at the thought of Belch Huggins being my soulmate.
I really hope hes not.
"What letter is it" my cousin asked walking over to my families couch.
"B" i said showing her my wrist
"Anyone you might think it is? Or hope?" She asked
Thats my cousin Bev.both our families have lived in derry all our lives.our moms were best friends before her mom unfortunately passed away.after that she spent a lot of her time at mine.
"I was thinking maybe Bruno from my science class but id like it to be Blake Owens from our homeroom hes really attractive" i giggled
"Maybe.maybe you should try and accidentally touch him in class Monday and see if it changes" she suggested.
"That's actually a good idea thanks" i smiled before telling her i was going to bed.
Time skip to monday
I walked into school ready for homeroom.
I looked around the room at all the people whos names begin with 'b'
Blake,Byron,Bruce,Brett,Bobby,Bill
"Y/n?" My teacher called out.he was taking attendance and i wasnt paying any attention.
"Y-yes sir" i stuttered realising this.a few people giggled.
After that he normally lets us talk so when he let us I immediately turned to Bev.
"So you tried to touch Blake?" She asked
"No i think its a bit creepy i might wait to see if nature takes its course" i said thinking about how long it might be before then.
"That could take years" she said as if she had read my thoughts.
"Well lets wait for your 15th birthday and search together" i offered.
"Thats 2 months away!" She groaned.
"I know" i said before the bell rung.
"See you later" i said to Bev before beginning my walk to science.
I bumped into someone and immediately recognised him as Richie trashmouth tozier.
"Oh y/n! Happy late birthday" he said
"Thanks" i said being suprised he didnt make a rude joke.
I soon was in the lab classroom and sat at one of the high chairs.I sat next to Bruno so i could ask him about his inital.
He soon rushed in and sat down.
"Hey Bruno?" I asked
He turned towards me.
"Sorry if you think this is weird but" i cut myself off before touching his arm.nothing happened.
"What?" He asked confused.
"Oh..well it was my 15th birthday yesterday and i got the letter B im was just curious" i smiled before looking to the front.
"Well my letter i got was G"he said showing his wrist.i chuckled to myself.
"Maybe its Greta"i joked knowing we both hate her as he fake gagged.
"Well good luck" he said
"You too"
Class went by as normal.Me and Bruno would giggle to ourselves at silly words and everytime our teacher said 'orgasm' instead of 'organism'.
Now i was sat under a tree drawing and waiting for Bev.
"Happy birthday to you" someone began singing

"Happy birthday to y/n" i looked up to see Richie holding a chocolate chip muffin
"Happy birthday to youuuuu" he did a big finish with a twirl.I clapped my hands.
"Thank you,thank you" he bowed
"so is that cupcake mine or did you come over to wave it in my face" i crossed my arms and smirked.
"Oh-OH sorry yeah its for you" he handed it to me
"Since when did trashmouth go around giving people cupcakes?" I asked holding it in my left hand.
"Well its not from me its from Bill.he was too scared to give it to you so made the best looking one out of the losers club give it to you,how dumb" Richie joked.
"Tell him i said thank you" i looked over to a near by bench to see the 3 other losers looking over.when i looked they all looked away.
"You know,i dont see you all as losers" i said looking up at Richie as he was stilll stood
"Really?" He looked at me as if id found a cure for cancer.
"I mean i dont see why people call you losers your just normal people" i shrugged when Bev came over.
"Hey trashmouth stop flirting with my cousin 'R' is not her letter" Bev said sitting down next to me.
"Ooo who gave you the cupcake" she said smirking
"Depends if you mean who its from or who physically gave it to me but to answer your question its from Bill" i smiled at myself
"Whats the letter you got anyway" Richie asked.
"B" i said showing him.
"Maybe you and Beverly will be in a lesbian relationship" Richies eyes went wide
"Gross shes my cousin" i said
"Anyways ill see you ladies in 5th" he waved amd went back to the losers.
"Hes one stranger person" i said taking a bite out of the cupcake.
Time skip to a few months
It had been a few months since my birthday.it had been Bevs and she got the letter 'L'
She found her soulmate a week after her birthday.his name is Luke Carter.hes blonde,blue eyes.basically anyones dream guy but not mine.im still focused on finding my soulmate but had no luck.so here i am sat at the tree again waiting for Bev.
"Hey sweetcheeks" A voice called from far away.i looked up to see the losers club walking over.i saw Richie nudge Bill and say something to him as everyone rolled there eyes.
"So y/n you finally made some friends who arent me?" Bev said sitting down with Luke.
"Yeah" I sarcastically said.
"Actually y/n we came over to ask you a weird but important favour" Eddie explained
"Go on" i said
"Well it was Bills birthday yesterday-" i cut him off
"Shit im sorry i didn't know,happy birthday" smiled at him

"Anyways he got his letter" Richie said ruining the little moment we had.
"Cool whats the letter" i turned to them as they gave eachother looks.
"What?" I looked at them all as they all stayed quiet.
"Y/i" Richie finally said.my eyes widened and i looked down at my arm to the the 'B' still sat in a boring black colour.
"When Bill told me i told him about your letter and thought maybe if you hug you might be soulmates" Richie seemed eager.
"Okay" i smiled.
In the last couple months id tried some people.i tried Blake,Brendon,Byron,Ben and even Belch.i just wanted to know who they are even if i didnt like the result.thankfully enough it wasnt Belch.
I stood up and slowly walked to Bill.i saw a sparkle in his eyes.he looked nervous but also excited.
I leaned in for a hug before pulling away.to say i was disappointed was an understate mean.the 'B' remained black
"Oh" was all i could say.
"I-i guess were not soulmates" he looked sad.i looked down at my wrist again to double check when my heart rate picked up.the once black and dull 'B' was now a nice f/c.i smiled from ear to ear.Bill was my soulmate this whole time.
"So you are my soulmate" i said looking directly into his eyes
He looked down at his wrist as his 'y/i' turned red.
"I-i guess so" he smiled
"How about we take this slow.how about a date Saturday" i offered
"Sure.s-sounds perfect" he said.
It was only Wednesday but i was already so excited.i had finally found my soulmate...my other half.
