Orianna's POV
I rush out of the bedroom when I don't see Zoe on her bed.
I pause when I see Quillon asleep on the sofa with Zoe on his chest. Never have I been so shaken before.
Imagine getting up at 4 AM and not seeing your sister on her bed. I sigh and am conflicted about leaving them like that or going to shower and then waking Quillon up.
I decide on the latter and go to deal with my daily hygiene first. I return once in my teal scrubs and quietly take Zoe from his arms, causing him to shift and open his eyes and Zoe to cling to me and continue with her soft snores.
I give him a sorry look and take Zoe to the room. I place her bed, having her go back to sleep.
"Sorry for waking you." I apologize once I'm back in the living room.
"It's okay, I actually didn't realize that we'd fallen asleep." He says as he gets up to stretch, having his muscles flex at the action.
I look away, not wanting to gawk too much at someone else's fiance.
"I'm sorry you had to sleep on the couch, you could've just put Zoe to bed and then left."
"I don't mind, Anna." He argues back.
"Okay. Do you want breakfast? Even though it's like 5 AM." I offer.
"That would be lovely. Let's have breakfast then I'll drop you off at work before going to change then heading to the office." He sits back on the couch and looks up at me.
I nod in return and head to the kitchen. I toast some bread slices and make coffee for us along with some scrambled eggs.
"Here you go." I say, having him look away from his phone to the plate of food and mug that I've set in front of him.
"Thank you." He says before putting down his phone.
I go to get my own before placing it on the table.
Quillon gets up and heads to the bathroom.
I start with my breakfast but stop when the bathroom door is opened by Quillon.
"Where are the towels, Anna?" He asks.
Just as I open my mouth to speak, I'm interrupted by a loud ringtone that startles me.
"Your phone's ringing." I whisper yell to him as I get to the bathroom.
"Please answer it." He says and uses his wet hand to sweep back his black hair.
I answer the phone and hand it to him when I hear a loud feminine voice furiously talking on the other end, before opening a cupboard to get him a towel.
"Here." I say, giving him the towel.
He nods in thanks as the voice continues with the talking.
I decide to give him some privacy and exit the bathroom, heading back to my big mug of coffee, which I so desperately need right now.
He comes back to the room and seems to still be listening person ranting. He mutters a few words before hanging up.
"Everything alright?" I ask when he sits.
"Yeah. Just Marie complaining about me not showing up last night." He shrugs.
"You guys had a date?" I ask in shock when I see how chilled he is.
"I don't really remember what last night was supposed to be." He sips his coffee.
"Oh." It's weird that he didn't know what he and his fiance had planned.
I quietly continue with my breakfast. I take both my and his plates back to the kitchen once we're done, so I can wash them.
I wash it and leave a note on a sticky note for Brandon.
Fry some eggs for you and Zoe WITHOUT burning down the house.

I write, before sticking it on the fridge. I go back to the room, to check on Brandon and Zoe and see that they're still asleep. I place a kiss on Zoe's forehead and kiss my fingers before placing them on Brandon's cheek because I can't reach him.
"I'm done, let's go." I say, and go to get my stuff on the couch.
"After you-" he opens the door and is cut off by his ringtone.
"Thank you." I mutter and walk past him.
He pulls the door shut and we walk to the stairs. I look back when I hear a muffled voice and see that he has his phone away from his ear. He smiles at me when I look at his face and I smile back, before pulling my eyes away from him and looking at where I'm going.
He opens the passenger side for me and I enter after thanking him. He gets in and sets his phone in the cup holder, and I notice that it's still on a call.
"Are you on a call?" I question.
"I'm supposed to be on one with Marie, but she's repeating the same thing over and over again." He said and starts the engine.
"I'm here, Marie. Can I call you back later? I'm driving right now." He says after the phone goes quiet.
"No... Yes, but I'm- No..." I look away from him as he continues with his conversation.
He sighs after finally cutting the call. I look up at him and look back at the way we're taking.
"She was complaining about me not being home last night." He says after a moment of silence.
"Oh, so you guys live together." I say.
"No. She just comes to my place a lot." He quickly rushes out.
"Why don't you guys live together?"
"You must really think we're in love, hey?" He chuckles while shaking his head.
"Isn't that what you guys are supposed to be if y'all are to be married?" I confusedly ask.
He looks over at me, and that's when I realize that we've arrived at the hospital. He smiles and continues looking at my confused expression.
"You look pretty today, Anna." My eyes widen as I move back in surprise when I see him right in front of my face.
He moves back and chuckles again.
I smile and exit the car. I swear this guy confused me more and more every day.

I look around the examination room to see if I've missed anything and finally exit when I see no flaw.
"Hey." I yelp when I hear the voice.
"Sorry." Jerry laughs.
"Don't do that again." I say while trying to calm my racing heart.
"I'm really sorry, how are you?"
"I'm alright and you?" I smile at him.
"I'm good, good." He drags. "I saw you getting out of a car today..." He says, leaving the statement open.
"Oh, yeah. Is there a problem?" I ask.
"No, no. I was just wondering who it was," He scratches the back of his neck.
"It's a friend, is something wrong?"
"No, I was just curious. I'll see you around." He says before moving away from me.
I stare at where he was standing in confusion. It's like all the guys I meet today are hell-bent on leaving me confused.

I know I was supposed to upload the day b4 yesterday but I been busy, and this update is coming in late coz I was busy today, tomorrow is my brothers birthday and he's been on everyone's throat about it, so we went to get him some stuff.
I'm so happy about today's update because it's my one year on Wattpad today!!!!
