The thick black fog travelled its way towards the campfire. It had a different kind of feeling from what you'd get from trials, this fog had a weird odor attached to it.

"What the hell, [Y/N]? You let this happen?!" Tapp argued.

Your eyes widened, "What? No way! I have nothing to do with this!" You defended yourself while shaking your palms in front of you.

"I believe you, I really do... But this isn't really helping with my nausea." Jane whimpered as she held her hands in front of her mouth and stomach.

Yui knitted her eyebrows to make a frown, "You think you're the only one? I'm about to puke-" She complained.

"Guys, what if it is the Plague?" Steve panicked.

"Wait you mean like an actual plague or the killer?" Jeff asked being genuinely confused.

Ace let his sunglasses drop on the tip of his nose, "A plague? As in disease? in this realm? Cool."

"I'm positive Steve refers to the killer." Nancy told Jeff with a deadpanned look.

Zarina bit her nails as she wore a worried look on her face, "Hold on, killers aren't able to enter the camp, right?

Meg clicked her tongue and shook her head, "Nope."

"How'd you know?" Yui groaned.

Meg shrunk back in her seat, "I- uh.."

"It's guaranteed that the killers can't come here because of the Entity's rules. Well, that's what we believe." Claudette added to make Meg feel less uneasy.

"That doesn't really help.." Zarina trailed off.

You didn't feel weird at all. You were completely fine unlike everyone else. The only thats was different was your stomach rumbling. "Is this the first time the Entity acts this way or has this event occured before?" You questioned.

Meg nodded her head, "It has happened before, we had the same loud bang and orange sky when the endgame collapse made its appearance. However, we didn't 'feel ill'." She explained, using her fingers as quotation marks.

The fog kept coming closer and closer. "I think it's an update, you know- just like in videogames! For example the endgame collapse." Feng theorized.

David gave Feng the stink eye, "Thus has nothin' to do with y'bloody video games for fucks sake!" Laurie scoffed and slapped David's arm, "What? It's true!" He complained.

"Ya could've been a bit nicer about it!" Kate uttered, shaking her head.

The thick black fog finally made its way right next to the campfire. No one was being dragged in for a trial, which was unusual

The Entity slipped its way through everyone's mind, low dark whispers started ringing in your ears. "We speak once again, [Y/N]. As you can see I've made some changes in this realm. I, the Entity, have made everyone equal. You said it was unfair, right?"

And with that the voices vanished. You felt a bit dizzy just like everyone else. It's not like this happens every day.

You blacked out, before you knew it there was a plate of the same boring food on your lap. You let out a heavy sigh and started picking on little pieces of food as usual. Bill coughed which startled you, making you look up from your plate. It turns out that everyone had their own plates of white, bland, edible material now.

A shocked expression was written on your face, "I have to be dreaming, there's no way this is real."

Dwight looked up at you with a saddened stare, "Yes way.."

"Nawww... The Entity doesn't expect us to eat this, right?" Tapp wailed in disappointment.

You sheepishly nodded your head.

"Nuh-uh, I'm not eating that crap again!" Nea complained while holding her nose up in the air with disgust.

"Being hungry hurts, damn." Jake exclaimed.

You crossed your arms, "Come on, it's not that bad. You'll get used to it."

Ash laid a chunk on his mouth, his reaction wasn't as dramatic as Nea's. "I've had worse." He shrugged.

A few other people tried after that, unsure glances made their way throughout the group.

"It's so weird to eat again. I absolutely forgot how it felt like. I think I forgot how to properly chew." Adam spoke in disbelief.

"Same."

"Exactly!"

Feng swallowed her portion with distaste, she was trying to force herself from gagging. "Oh, yeah. So good. Hăo chi haha."

Nea rolled her eyes and shifted her gaze towards the food in discomfort, she sighed and broke a chunk off the edible material. She eyed the portion with suspicion, "Fine, I'll try it. Don't get too upset if I spit it out."

"That's the spirit." Ash encouraged.

To your surprise, Nea actually made an attempt to keep it in her mouth. Her eyes were pierced shut, expecting the worst. Her right eye eventually split open after what felt like a minute.

"Sooo? What are your thoughts?" Quentin sought.

Nea gave Quentin a dry smile, "It's just like what I used to make in my teenage years. Boiled up, unseasoned chicken breasts." She snickered.

"I'm glad we weren't roommates." Zarina joked in between her bites.

Dinner took forever. Paper plates were scattered all over the place. Dwight tried to burn the plates in the eternal flame, but to his luck it was unsuccessful. "I guess they aren't like offerings..." Dwight mumbled in disappointment.

"Wait, the fire only meant for offerings?" You asked.

Nea nodded her head, "Yeah, watch this." She inserted her whole left arm into the fire out of nowhere. "See? Nothing, can't feel a thing."

It was almost as if the fire was an illusion. Its only purpose was to illuminate the area and accept offerings.

"Wait... If we all have the same symptoms like you do... Then Freddy needs to be nerfed!" Feng came to realization.

How is that even possible? You can't change the killers' behavior, can you? "Fyi: the entity can do anything. It just nerfed all of us, no offense."

"None taken."

"Jake! Where'd that filthy bird of yours go?" Bill pointed out.

Jake quickly snapped out of his thoughts, "Wh-" He looked all around him while searching his pockets. "I could've sworn-" He mumbled.

The familiar black fog returned, demanding for a new set of survivors. Not 4, but 8 survivors were being dragged into the dark mist, including you. Your teammates were; nervous leader Dwight, songbird Kate and the rugged scrapper David. These were some nicknames made by the group.

The darkness consumed you and your teammates, knocking all 8 survivors out on impact.

Cold wet tiles touched your skin as you lied in an uncomfortable position. A horrible stench formed while you slowly regained consciousness. You hesitantly opened your eyes, expecting the worst.

The room was still dark, the only source of light was a gaping hole above. You pierced your eyes, inspecting the open space. A decaying corpse caught your attention in the corner of your eye. The corpse looked like as if they were skinned, the thought about it made you gag. On each side of the corpse seated two toilets full of waste and feces, it was unbearable to resist the will to puke. Old, dry blood was splat on both the wall and floor with violence. The drain on the ground barely helped at all.

You covered your mouth and panicked. The trial just has begun and you're already sick. You backed up in shock until you hit a cold tile wall behind you with a loud gasp. You accidentally hit a dull totem in the process, making it fall down on impact.

Wait, weren't you supposed to cleanse those things with your bare hands? Why didn't anyone cleanse them like this, it's way easier, You thought.

You shifted your gaze to your left, a yellow generator. Great. You definitely didn't want to stay here longer than necessary, heaving a discontent sigh you began making some progress on the generator.

Soft footsteps could be heard from above, you instantly stopped in your tracks. There were a few lockers on the other side of the room. You zoomed your way right into the closest locker without thinking. It couldn't be the killer, right?

Someone jumped down, too bad you couldn't see who it was since the locker didn't face the hole. Relief washed over your body as you noticed blonde strands of hair.

You carefully opened the locker door, you didn't have any intentions to make any unnecessary sound.

"Kate!" You whisper yelled.

Kate instantly made an 180 degree turn, not knowing who the voice belonged to. Once she noticed it was you a radiant smile crept its way up her plum lips. "[Y/N]! Thank the lord it's you. Ya almost got me there!" She beamed with her Texan accent.

"Are ye alright [Y/N]? Ya look like you've been hit by the ugly stick!" Kate worried.

You let your shoulders droop with a sigh, "I'm fine.. Not that there's a person decaying over there or something." You pointed out.

"Awe I know, it's alright sugar. We'll get ya through this hell." Kate comforted and gave you a warm hug.

You couldn't help but smile back at her. Kate is that person that would make you forget about all the bad things in the world, even under these circumstances. "I see ya got a hang on that gen'rator over there. Need a hand?" You didn't have to reply since she already started repairing the generator by herself.

You quickly joined her, every second counted. You twist and turned handles with precision and care, making sure to nail the wiring as well. According to Adam's correlations the generator's repair speed lasted up to 80 seconds.

"Who's the killer?" You asked out of the blue.

Kate paused for a split second, "Y'know, this map came along with detective David Tapp. He told us that this place was called Gideon's meatpacking plant or somethang like that. This used to be the Pig's and Josh'- or John's.. I don't remember- hideout. So I suspect the killer is the Pig."

Amanda? You had to go against Amanda? You haven't been informed what Amanda's abilities were. You've only seen her tinker on her homemade reversed bear trap. Wait- How are you supposed to find a key to unlock the trap?

Kate noticed the sudden change in your attitude, "How's ya wrist by the way?" Kate changed the subject.

You peered through the generator to look at your wrist. You didn't remember taking the bandage off. You pulled out your right arm from the generator to inspect the wound. A long scar littered your wrist that traced your veins. The scar was a reminder to always be alert for danger, a single mistake could lead to a destructive path.

"It's still there." You trailed off.

A loud hum roared throughout the building, it was a different generator.

"Woo! 1 down!" Kate cheered.

You couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm. A few seconds later the generator in front of you popped as well. The lights in the room started to flicker on, right after that a loud screech of agony was heard from afar. "Well I'll be damned it ain't Dwight.." Kate mumbled.

"C'mon! Wanna tag along and save Dweet from miss Piggy?" Kate extended her hand towards you. You accepted her offer and ran hand in hand through the corridors.

Another scream followed, which meant Dwight got hooked. His scream was very close, which meant you had to be aware of any danger that was bound to happen. Everything was so messy; dirty walls that were damaged over time, crates and boxes scattered all over the place, poor lightning and lots of steam.

You suddenly hear a loud roar from your left, Kate let out a yelp as she got hit by a hidden blade. "Split up! I'll be fine!" Kate reassured as she made a quick turn.

You looked over your shoulder and saw Amanda with her clothes covered in blood, she was currently focusing on Kate. Your body froze, Where did she come from?

You ran away as far as possible, still feeling guilty for leaving Kate behind.

After running for what felt like a minute you could hear soft whimpers and moans. You stepped through the entrance of a doorway and noticed Dwight being unhooked by David. Dwight let out painful hiss as the dirty hook got separated from his chest, "Hey [Y/N]..." He trailed off with a weak smile. David looked over his shoulder, "Hi." He greeted with his hand mid-air.

You sped your way towards the two boys, you noticed that David was wounded as well. "Here, let me help you two out." You offered.

You healed Dwight with the help of David. You noticed David's uncomfortable stance, it looked like as if he was injured, you didn't see any blood on his clothes though. "Hey, David. Are you okay?"

David rolled his eyes, "M'fine. I woke up injured, if that's what you're asking. The Entity won't let others patch me up for some reason. It's always been this way."

You didn't seem to find the right words, not being able to be healed must've sucked for David. "Oh, uh.. Wow... I didn't know-"

"Don't sweat it. C'mon let's find a generator."

You followed Dwight and David like a lost puppy. This map was honestly a maze, the corridors were very close to being identical. There were also signs that said something about a staircase while there wasn't one around.

You spotted the saw puppet from the movies, also known as Billy, not too far from your position. It was seated on some weird kind of machinery. You've never seen this in previous trials before.

You decided to ignore it, there were different things to focus on right now. The three of you eventually found a staircase that lead to the second second floor.

You hesitated before you took your first step, "Guys what about Kate?"

"She'll be fine. Besides, she's doin' a great job distracting the pig." David grunted as he waited for you to follow him up the stairs.

"I suggest we all split up. There's 3 generators left, yeah? We could start repairing one generator by ourselves so we have progress all over the map. We won't be too far away if Kate gets caught." Dwight suggested, "Good plan?"

You and David shared glances with each other. Shifting your gaze back at Dwight you both nodded in sync.

"Great! There are two generators on this floor and 2 generators upstairs. David, you go on the second floor since you're already halfway up the stairs." Dwight explained loud and clear.

"[Y/N], you should turn left around that corner over there. I'll go on the right side."

"Yes sir!" You saluted before running towards the objective.

Generator, generator, generator.

It should be near. Ah, there is is! The yellow generator stood right next to a closed gate. A noticable difference between yellow and red generators is that the red ones had a lamp attached to it. The yellow ones seemed to be attached to the area itself.

You crouched down and carefully inserted your hand into the machine. As you looked around you still paid attention to the generator. A dull totem could be seen a bit further away, along with a pallet. You had the urge to stomp on it but you had to finish the generator first.

You noticed an icy blue room in the far back. Something hung upside down on a hook, you hoped it was anything but a human. You accidentally twisted a handle too far, eyes widening as you see it happen right in front of you. Everything turned into slow motion, you shielded your face with your bare hands as quickly as possible. The explosion was quick and extremely loud. Tinnitus rang in your ears and your heartbeat quickened. You didn't know wether it was the generator or if the killer was near.

A cold hand made contact with your shoulder, yanking you on the ground with brute force. You made a groan as your head hit the ground, eyes closing on impact.

Someone sat on top of you, holding your arms in place. You attempted to fight back, kicking your feet and punching the air while being held back. Animalistic growls and heavy breathing were the only thing you could hear as your mind went blank. The familiar pig mask stared into your soul inches away from your face. Confusion hit your mind, "Amanda-?"

She ignored your voice, breaking eye contact. Her hands trembled as she grabbed something from underneath her jacket. Amanda held a metal object in her hands, her posture changing in a more threatening way. She forced the object on your head with both of her hands.

That's when it all came back to you, the reverse bear trap. "A-amanda..-!" She quickly cut you off by her throwing your weight on her shoulder. You tried to fight back as hard as you could as she speed walked through the halls full of agitation. "Amanda! No, stop!" You cried out in agony, swinging your legs and punching her back, trying to wriggle free.

Just as she was about to put you on a hook, you managed to slip through her grasp. She let out a displeased snarl, gaining posture quickly. You were exhausted but still able to run. She turned into a complete lunatic! You thought.

The pig was way faster than you were. It didn't take long until she catched up with you. Her hidden blade made contact with your waist, blood spurted out from your side. You fell down face first onto the stone floor with a surprised and painful scream. Your panic and fear made the situation worse, she dragged your body towards her by grabbing your leg with both hands.

You could've sworn you saw her mouth drool in bloodlust. Her shoulders heaved up and down along with her exaggerated breathing pattern. The pig blocked your view with her body, your own blood on her jacket. "There..- is.. no A-amanda." She growled before she picked you up with ease.

You mustered up all the strength inside of you, desperately trying to fight her off. "Stop.. Please.. " You chanted.

Your soft cries for help didn't reach her thoughts.

The meat hook forcefully pierced through your skin. You grabbed the tip of the hook with both of your hands as a support. Your legs automatically pushed their way towards your chest as you let out a blood curdling scream. Blood burst out of your chest, painting your hands red.

The pig cocked her head sideways in satisfaction. Exhausted, you let your eyes droop and limbs fall. Multiple drops of blood dropped on the ground in every second. You whimpered in pain, "Go away.."

The pig turned her back towards you and crouched her way out of the area, her hidden knives retrieving in the process.

A muscular male appeared not long after the incident, it was David. You held your breath as he slowly unhooked you.

You hugged him, sobbing on his shoulder. David sheepishly patted his hand on your back, "I'm sorry, luv. But we have to go now." He exclaimed, breaking the hug. "Yer' need to get that thing off your head. We just finished a generator not that long ago."

"How do I remove it?!" You asked in worry.

"Follow me."

David brought you to one of the machines with the jigsaw puppet on top of them. He leaned against it, "Put your hands in there and drop 10 pints of blood."

You did what he said. It wasn't difficult since your hands were already covered in blood. The two holes eventually closed. "It didn't work. Can't you patch me up first?"

"No, you ain't got no time to lose. Can't you hear the ticking?" David sarcastically remarked. "Come, let's find another one."

You followed David around like a lost puppy. "How many jigsaw boxes are there?"

"Err.. 5? 6? I don't remember." A loud feminine screech could be heard throughout the building, Kate got captured.

"Aight, chop chop! Just go straight on, 'm gonna go save Kate." David said right before he ran away.

You did as you were told, running in a straight line. Another loud hum left the building, gates opening in front of you. It only made the ticking worse.

"Hey [Y- oh there's a jigsaw box over there-" Dwight pointed to the right. There was a dull totem right next to the machine.

You quickly thanked Dwight and sprinted towards the jigsaw box. It took you around 10 seconds before a key showed up. You quickly unlocked the trap and threw it away with a sigh of relief.

Dwight tugged on your arm, "One more generator to go, we should get this done easily."

You nodded and followed Dwight around. Dwight started a little small talk with you while searching for the last generator. Another scream was heard, it definitely belonged to David.

"Oh well. Go find the last generator, I'll save them from the hook." Dwight stated, biting the inside of his cheek.

You nodded and continued running.

You finally found a generator. You kicked a random dull totem for fun, proud of your new life hack. The generator was already halfway done.

It didn't take long for you to finish it. Your proud smile faltered when you heard Dwight's scream. You mentally facepalmed as you let out a heavy sigh.

You ran towards Dwight's direction, that's when you noticed he hadn't unhooked anyone yet. You saw Kate dangling from a hook not that far away from your position.

"[Y/N]! Go, away! She's camping!" Kate whisper yelled.

"Camping? What do you mean cam-" Just as you were about to slide Kate from the hook you were met with a blade in your back. You fell down on the floor with a yelp.

The pig lifted you on her shoulders with ease. You tried fighting against her grip just like before, but without succes. She threw you on the hook, your skin slid down like butter. Spider like legs appeared in front of you, they went straight for your chest. You steadily gripped one claw with both of your hands, not allowing it to drill through your chest. Damnit, if only you had listened to Kate.

Everyone was hooked. You were so close to victory. You couldn't hold back the Entity's claw much longer. The claw slipped out of your hands and stabbed you in the heart, making it quick and painful.

- • -

Everyone was back at the campfire. You saw Ash flexing his invisible muscles and Ace telling a story about him escaping from the mafia. You sat down next to Claudette.

"Heard you had a tough trial too? We had a very toxic Trapper trapping the basement. Wasn't fun."

You nodded, "Yeah, we had Am- the pig."

"I can't sabotage traps anymore! Do you have any idea how annoying that is?" Jake complained. "The Trapper also painted the traps so we could barely see them."

"Unfair! I'm going to demand the killers' manager to nerf them!" Feng pouted.

"Feng, your Karen is showing."

[A/N] To anyone who's name is Karen, I apologise I didn't mean any harm.

By the way, should I make this a killer x reader?

Also, long chapter. Long.
