Tragedy
Today is definitely not normal.
The smell of the air has become acrid,
Events are turning anxious and horrid,
And people are going hysterical.
Aftermath of an ugly pandemic,
A sign of a closing Armageddon,
A demise that doesn't know hope in dawn.
The collapsing light, a blade that strikes quick.
Like thieving shadows stealthily moving,
Entering houses to inflict sickness,
It excuses no one, this cruel illness.
It devours the system without warning.
Closed doors, bored minds and a restless fury.
Who is hungry? Who eats three times a day?
An empty stomach always finds a way.
To sacrifice, to bear the agony.
Closed doors, a house praying for remedy.
One nation, the whole world, one tragedy.
