The air was warm and the light from the sun illuminated the mountain.

Tsukiko found herself on the engawa of a house. The sound of nature filled her ears. There were also voices around her. She could hear in this vision.

Her clairvoyance skills were getting better.

In her arms there was a child sleeping soundly. Tufts of red hair stuck out from different directions on the infant's head. The small boy looked familiar to Tsukiko. Or rather resembles someone she knows.

A distance away sat two men. One with black and blue hair and another with locks of a golden yellow. They were huddled together as if planning something.

"Tsukiko," a man's voice sounds next to her.

Her eyes travel to the voice. There was Tanjiro. He was older and looked different. Injuries were apparent on his body that were new to Tsukiko but his hanafuda earring still hung from his ears.

"How much longer will he sleep?" Adult Tanjiro comes to sit next to her on the engawa. "I know he's not the first baby we've had, but I still get nervous."

Tsukiko's eyebrows raise and she looks down at the small child in her arms. This was her and Tanjiro's child. She was in a vision of their future together.

"Not much longer I suppose," Tsukiko told him.

He had said that the child was not their first. Just how many kids did they have? When did they get married?

"It feels like yesterday when I first met you," Tanjiro spoke. "You grow more beautiful with every passing day."

Tsukiko blushes at his words. Even this Tanjiro told her how beautiful he thinks she is. Like when she first showed him her eyes at final selection.

Lips brush against Tsukiko's cheek as Tanjiro leans in to kiss her face. The sounds of children's feet come from the other side of the house.

All was bliss to Tsukiko. This future is something she would fight to make true.

"Tsukiko," a voice whispers into one of her ears.

Tsukiko woke up blind to the world. Only this blindness was caused by the gentle hand covering her eyes.

"Tanjiro," the girl responded with a smile. The hand lifted to reveal the kind eyes of Tanjiro. Blocking out the moon was a trick Tanjiro found to bring Tuskiko back to him.

Since her training with Hashimoto, Tsukiko had been looking into the future more often. She often only saw snippets of scenes. Not everything she saw was bad but not everything was pleasant. Tsukiko was comforted by the fact that she had changed the future before.

After a talk with Ubuyashiki, it was decided that it is best not give too many details of what she saw. Not all deaths would be avoidable.

"You're crying," Tanjiro told the girl as he helped her to sit up. He wipes the tears from her eyes. "Did you see something sad again?"

"Oh no," Tsukiko stood up, "this time I saw something wonderful."

The two walk around the garden of the butterfly estate hand in hand. Going inside meant that they would be separated to sleep. Tanjiro had been fiercely scolded when he was found sleeping next to Tsukiko in her room. Then doubly scolded by Zenitsu.

This led to Tsukiko often sneaking into Tanjiro's room room and then back into her own before daylight.

During their time at the estate the two had grown closer. They were almost inseparable. It was only when the hashira came for Tsukiko or Tanjiro was on a mission that they would allow themselves to be apart.

"You look beautiful again today," Tanjiro stops Tsukiko as they pass under a tree. She turns to him and he tucks a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Thank you Tanjiro," the girl blushes. Despite how open Tanjiro had become with his affection, Tsukiko found herself still bashful at the attention.

The other two members of their group had grown used to it but it did cause some stares when outside the butterfly estate. Tsukiko found that she would have to stand a few steps away from him when in front of any hashira; only because she didn't want their opinions.

Wrapping her arms around him, Tsukiko pulled Tanjiro into a hug. His warmth and the sound of his heart were calming to her. There were times when her head became overwhelmed with the future and he was always there to clear it.

Being close to Tanjiro brought back the memory of her vision of their future. She wondered how many kids they would have then reminded herself that she would have to fight tooth and nail for the chance.

"Promise me one thing," Tsukiko's voice was soft and quiet. It almost went unnoticed to the demon slayer in her arms.

Fingers tangled in long black hair as Tanjiro pulled Tsukiko closer to him.

"Anything," he told her.

"Promise me that we will always be together. I want the future that I saw." Tsukiko's eyes were bright and a smile accompanied the look.

Tanjiro looked surprised at Tsukiko's words. There were days where she would wake up from a vision sobbing into his arms and others where she was delighted from what she saw. Never had she mentioned to him anything about his future unless it involved demons.

"I promise that nothing will ever separate us. I'll always be here for you." Tanjiro's hands grasped Tsukiko's face. "No matter what happens or what you see, nothing will stop us from being together. I'll forge the future myself if I have to."

She felt his breath fanning against her lips from how close they were. Her heart thudded against her chest from the way Tanjiro gazed down at her. His eyes were filled with love and Tsukiko's mirrored them.

Tanjiro's lips pressed against hers. It was entirely different from what the first kiss they had shared in the garden of the wisteria home. That kiss had been filled with the desperation of knowing he was alive. This kiss was gentle and full of love.

Tsukiko's hands found themselves in the tresses of red hair as she kissed Tanjiro back. All was bliss in the heart of Tsukiko.

"No! Come back here you moron!" Zenitsu's voice came loudly from a bush.

The two broke apart from each other at the sound of his voice. Inosuke was marching towards them with Zenitsu fuming behind him. Nezuko was being pulled by Zenitsu as he held her hand.

The three had been on a walk together when they spotted Tanjiro and Tsukiko. Really, Zenitsu and Nezuko were out on a walk while Inosuke refused to be alone.

"If Tanjiro gets to have his future told by Tsukiko than I want mine told too!" Inosuke grabbed onto Tsukiko once he was close enough. Tsukiko shoved her hands in the boy's pretty face in order to keep him from kissing her.

"She wasn't telling his future you idiot!" Zenitsu screamed at the boar as Tanjiro worked to pull him off of the girl. "She was kissing him!"

Inosuke froze. Tanjiro was able to pull him away from Tsukiko. She held tight onto Tanjiro's arm. The look on Inosuke's face meant that he was processing the word.

"What is... kissing?" Inosuke asked the group innocently.

Both Tanjiro and Tsukiko's faces grew warm and blushed deeply. Embarrassment red was the shade they turned.

"Something you'll never get to do if you don't gain some manners! Women don't like rude people!" Zenitsu yelled annoyed at the other boy. "Come back inside!"

Zenitsu's free hand latched onto Inosuke. He pulled the boar and Nezuko back inside the manor. There was further yelling heard as Inosuke attempted to fight Zenitsu.

Laughing rang out in the garden from Tsukiko. Their small group of friends never ceased to amaze her.

"I love you Tanjiro," She told the redhead.

"I love you too," he responds.

Tsukiko planted another kiss on Tanjiro before pulling him towards the manor's glow and to their friends. Tanjiro's hand was warm in hers.

Her heart was full.

She knew that as long as they were together, there would be happiness.
