"so all you guys got was $100 gift cards and a coupon to a skateboard shop ?" taehyungs loud voice boomed throughout the small diner we were all sitting at .
"yea , not too bad . i could use a new set of wheels" jeongguk spoke , stretching out his arms .
i hummed in agreement , while picking at my food .
"well you guys did great and that's all that matters" namjoon spoke while feeding taehyung one of his fries . then they started to flirt with eachother .
that subtle move alone made me lose my appetite , completely . it was barely there to begin with .
instead of intruding their love life i pulled out my phone , noticing my parents have been blowing it up .
after i replied i quickly stood up , resulting in everyone at the table looking at me weird .
"my parents need me , see y'all soon" i quickly squeaked out , throwing a twenty dollar bill onto the table- in order to pay for my meal .
i quickly left before anyone could speak , i just needed to get home .
i threw my board onto the ground and quickly jumped on , speeding down the street .
i was roughly going about 9-10 mph , i was going pretty fast- but i needed to go quicker .
so i pushed my self to go a bit faster .
and before i knew it i arrived at my street , which was dimly lit by the streetlights .
once i got to my house i hopped off my board and stepped on the edge of it , popping it into my grasp .
before i could even open the door , it swung open to reveal my dad .
he pulled me in by my hair and slammed the door closed .
once i got in he let go and pushed me into a nearby wall .
"why were you out so late ?!" my mom yelled , breaking the loud silence .
"i- i told you i was out with friends" i spoke , trying to stay calm .
"you worthless boy , whats the point of having a phone if you aren't going to use it ??" my dad spoke up , pointing his finger in my face .
i could feel small spit drops leave his mouth , nasty .
"im sorry" i apologized quietly , in hopes to drop this conversation .
"too late for sorry , no food for a week" my mom butted in , slightly pushing my father back .
before i could say anything else i felt a stinging pain on my cheek . my mother slapped me .
i was taken aback , they never really gotten physical before . only a few times in the past but it was like a little pop on my mouth for talking back- nothing serious .
i looked into her eyes to see a little bit of regret , followed by suprise but also anger .
she visibly paused before turning around , heading towards her shared room .
"remember your place , fag" my dad spit out , sending a quick punch to my face . it caught me by suprise , causing me to stumble back a bit .
he soon joined my mom , leaving me standing there .
"sleep well" i muttered out to the direction of their room , trudging down to the basement .
once i entered my lair i kicked of my shoes and threw my board onto the floor .
i was hurt , i didn't think my parents would ever physically harm me . sure they were mentally abusive , but i never would've thought physical .
i sighed to myself , feeling my eyes fill up with tears .
