[Actually nah, I don't wanna write smut. It is within my abilities, it just feels weird to write Senku having sex so yeah]
You woke up to the sunlight peeking through the porthole, you rubbed your eyes before slowly opening them. Not seeing Senku lying beside you, you looked around and saw him standing by the door (you both slept in the training room), leaning on the wall with his arms folded. He still had no shirt on. You kinda insisted that he took it off last night because you felt weird being the only one with no clothes on.
"Morning."
"Hey." you said with a tired voice. "What are you doing?"
"Just wait."
"Okay...?"
You rolled back to look at the ceiling, bringing the blanket under your arms to cover your exposed chest. You didn't mind waiting, you still needed some time to process what happened.
Last night was...something. Boy was it something!
You flinched when the door started to open, but just as you gasped and sat up, Senku put his hand on the door, preventing it from opening further and stood in front of the opening, hiding you from whoever was at the door.
"Yeah?" he said.
"Senku?" you heard Tsukasa said and you cursed yourself for forgetting about him. "Does (Y/n) know you're still in the training room?"
"I don't know." Senku glanced at you. "(Y/n), do you know I'm still in the training room?"
"Oh my fuckin god!" you covered your face, red from embarrassment.
"Ah, I see." Tsukasa said. "I'll leave you to it then."
"Thank you." Senku smiled before closing the door.
You threw his pillow at his face.
"I cannot believe you!" you exclaimed. "What happened to you?!"
"You don't like it?"
"I mean...I didn't say that."
'It was a cool line.' you thought before speaking again.
"But that's too much change coming from you! You get jealous, you take the lead and you just gave a jealous-boyfriend-one-liner."
"Kukuku, don't worry." he smiled. "That was a one-time-only thing. When it'll happen again, it'll be because you wanted it."
You heart skipped a beat.
"After that, I'm good for the next, maybe three years."
"Cool." he smiled, putting his shirt back on. "Now can we please go? You have your training, and I have a whole ship to manage. Or is this a thing people do after sex? Lying in bed all morning like they have nothing better to do?"
You smiled.
'There he is~, that's the Senku I know and love!'
"Give me a second." you said before quickly getting dressed.
Before having breakfast, you went to Tsukasa, too embarrassed to look him in the eyes.
"Um, Tsukasa?" you said. "About this morning...Well first of all I am so sorry."
"It's alright." he smiled. "I understand how Senku would feel about his first session."
"His what now?" you looked directly at him.
"It's common for people to workout in private at first. I just hope he'll feel comfortable enough to not do it in secret one day. Maybe even join us!" he seemed to get enthusiastic at the idea.
'Oh Tsukasa, you and your pure heart!!!'
"Well actually," you gladly followed him on this. "he told me he'd try training once. So we did and he said he wasn't that into it."
"Oh, shame." he looked down, a bit disappointed. "But I understand, it's Senku after all."
"We'll get him next time."
He chuckled before you walked away to get breakfast.
As soon as you turned, you saw Gen smiling at you. He must've heard your conversation.
'Oh boy.' you thought.
You knew Gen and you knew that smile! It was the smile that said 'I know what you did and now I want the details!' You sighed and gestured him to walk with you. It was tea time.
After getting your food, you both sat down at a table which was at a certain distance from the other. Leaning towards each-other and speaking quietly. You told him what happened (leaving out the act itself of course!) and he nodded along.
"So did he also...?" he asked.
"Nah, nah he's asexual."
"I knew it." he smiled to himself.
"But weirdly enough, I feel like he still got a kick out of it, but in his own way...? I don't know how to explain it."
"Well of course it'd get a reaction out of anyone. That's not just a step in your relationship, it's a whole staircase."
"It sure felt like it yeah."
"And how was it?"
"That-no!" you leaned back and held up your index, blushing. "Those information are classified."
"Ow~! At least tell me if you were loud or not."
"Ew! Why so specific?!"
"Because if you were," he leaned closer, whispering. "then Ukyo, with his super earring, would've heard you."
Your eyes widen, but then you shook your head.
"No, we were careful-well, I was careful not to make noises. Plus he was on the other side of the boat, there's no way he could've heard."
"Could he have though?"
You both looked over at him with narrowed eyes. He was minding his business, chatting with the others. At some point he noticed you starring at him and waved, smiling. All friendly and casual like that? Suspicious!
The two of you still waved back out of politeness.
Apparently because of bad weather, it became very difficult to determine the position of the ship according to the time difference between where you guys were and back in Japan (because time zones and whatnot) but you weren't there to see this whole situation get resolved, thanks to Chrome and his collection of rocks in which he found a 'sun stone'. Nah you were too busy learning how to kick good.
And so when one day you heard 'Land!' being shouted by everyone, you rushed to the front of the boat and you all shouted in celebration!
Though, there was a minute of silence when you saw the statues coming out of the earth. Senku glanced at you.
"You don't seem very fazed by this." he said, looking forward again.
"Not really, I always kind of accepted the fact that all of humanity was petrified." you smiled at him. "Plus, it doesn't really matter, since we'll revive them all."
He smiled back.
"Yeah. All 7.8 billion people. We're gonna save 'em all!"
Passed a certain point, you had to split into two groups: a corn-searching team, and a resource replenishment team. The battle team would go on the corn search to protect the others, and because Tsukasa was your mentor you had to tag along.
The battle team took the motor boat. You however had to join the corn search team on the lab-boat, because one: there was no more space on the motor boat (those guys are big) and two: because you had bad experiences involving boats and Mozu together.
On the way down the river, you popped out of the trap door on the lab's roof.
"Guys it's time!" you looked at the battle team behind you. "We said before we'd do it! And now we're here, so let's do this!"
"Yes~! Finally!" Chrome raised his fists in the air.
Ginrou and Kohaku were also excited. Tsukasa and Gen sighed, smiling.
Senku frowned, because he had no idea what the fuck you were talking about.
"What are you planning to do exactly?" he asked, popping out of the trap door as well.
"Oh right! I didn't tell you!" you said, backing up a bit (though you could only manage a few centimeters). "We agreed to do this at the time you and I avoided each-other."
"Do what?"
"Together people!" you smiled and turned towards the battle team. "I hope that now everyone knows the lyrics, looking at you Ginrou!"
And when you started singing old sailor chants, you singing the verses alone and together the chorus, Senku groaned and went back inside.

"We'll rant and we'll roar, like true British sailors, we'll rant and we'll roar, all on the salt seas! Until we strike soundings in the channel of Old England, from Ushant, to Scilly, 'tis thirty five leagues~!"
"Man, pirate songs are so cool!" Chrome smiled.
"It's not a pirate song!" Senku frowned.
"Whatever is it, it's fucking great!" you shouted.
So a bunch of alligators attacked you and the battle team easily took care of them, being super happy to finally get some meat. (You took no part in combat though, you learned out to defend yourself, not how to kill animals). After that you all settled down by the river to eat. François prepared hamburgers with the alligator's meat.
"Alligator meat?" you said, looking down at your food. "I have some doubts..."
"What's the difference with regular burgers?" Senku asked, with mouth full. "It's still meat."
"Just try it (Y/n)! That's crazy good!" he leaned closer and whispered. "Even Hyouga loves it."
You looked over at where Hyouga was sitting, apart from the group. His back was to you but you could see his shoulders tensing as he quickly ate his hamburger. It made you smile.
"Senku." Tsukasa, who was cutting the animal's corpse apart, showed him its stomach. "The alligator swallowed this whole."
Senku was at first a bit disgusted by it but then let out an 'Ah!' once he took a closer look. He got the thing out, revealing a complete ear of corn.
"Kukuku! And just the special American variety we're after!" he smiled.
"Hell yeah!" Chrome exclaimed. "We found the life-giving corn!"
"It tastes like crap but you can squeeze a crazy amount of alcohol out of it!"
Meanwhile, you've tasted you alligator-burger and now you were asking François for seconds.
"There's no telling how much of the corn is left though." Senku said the next day as you and him were sitting on the lab-boat's roof as you guys rode down the river.
"Well it's been like three millennia." you said. "The corn must've developed all throughout the land. I actually expected it to be everywhere at this point."
"Actually, it's impossible for corn to grow by itself." he explained. "It's a human-made plant, and it needs very specific condition to be planted and to grow."
"I see..." you thought for a second. "How long does corn last?"
"On the fields, a few months."
"Then there's no way there's any corn left!" you exclaimed. "Will we have to grow it ourselves?!" then, you remembered the deadline you guys had. "How long does it take to grow corn?"
"Sixty to a hundred days."
"How the fuck-That's way over our time limit! Isn't that a plot hole?!?!"
"Senku!" Kohaku called out.
You both turned around and the worry you had instantly disappeared and you burst out laughing when you saw her leaning towards the river, grabbing Hyouga's hair for support, while he was still driving the motor-boat. And he was struggling, and it was hilarious to watch.
'He looks like a fuckin' idiot!!!' you dare not say but thought really hard, knowing he would already kill you just for laughing.
Kohaku showed Senku what she picked out of the water.
"Corn kernels!" he exclaimed.
"They were floating downstream." she said.
"How convenient..." Senku said to himself before looking at the others. "It's not the source though, we'll have to keep going."
This evening, as soon as you made camp, Senku placed a white cloth over a light.
"By checking out which bugs this light stimulus attracts, we can learn more about the area." he explained, holding a bug net. "And if my guess is correct..."
A short while after, he caught a bunch of insects, most of them were tiny moths. Nothing compared to the giant monstrosities you guys had.
"The European corn boror moth!" he smiled.
"European?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, 'cause they originate from Europe, but then they came to North America during the colonization."
"Oh got'cha." you nodded.
"And they mostly subsist on corn, which means there's a ton of it nearby!"
What he said made you realize something and you looked at him, he had a gloomy look on his face. You could've realize it sooner, but you were too busy making fun of Hyouga (who by the way, told you very ominously to never mention it ever again).
"So there are people here!" you said. "Isn't that a great thing?!"
"Uh...What brought that conclusion?" Gen asked.
"It's a miracle that there's any corn at all, it's human made! All the corn would've disappeared within months."
"What?!" everybody exclaimed.
"W-well maybe Senku was planning on us growing the corn ourselves!" Kohaku said.
"It takes sixty to a hundred days to grow, we'd never have time!"
"What?!?!" everybody exclaimed again.
"That's-That's a huge oversight Senku-chan!" Gen said, unsettled by this completely out of character move on Senku's part.
All eyes were on him now, waiting for an explanation. But he couldn't think of something. Not that he overlooked it, he was too smart for that. But he knew that was a plot hole.
Luckily, Tsukasa came to the rescue! He began looking around with a grave expression.
"I sense...bloodlust."
"You 'sense' it?" you frowned.
"Well, more like smell. I believe this odor comes from the breakdown of adrenaline."
'Oh my god thank you Tsukasa for bringing back some logic into this!!!'
The battle team began to look around for anyone of anything dangerous nearby as complete silence fell onto the scene. You looked too, narrowing your eyes and blocking any lights from your sight so as too better see in the darkness of the forest.
Then, you saw something.
A little red dot. A single line of smoke emanating from it. A few seconds pass, with you staying motionless, then the red dot lit up a little bit. Just enough for you to see the bottom half of a face, smiling.
Not looking away from it, you blindly tapped Senku's arm and pointed at the stranger.
"Is that a cigarre-?"
"To the boat now!!!" Tsukasa suddenly shouted. "Take cover!!!"
Then, the guy started to fire towards you all with a machine gun. The sound made your ears ring and you covered them. Senku pushed you down to get inside the lab. When the shots were going directly towards him, he used the trap door as protection before closing it.
"Ha!" Ryu exclaimed, rushing to the driver seat. "Never underestimate a captain and his helm! Water bulwark!"
He made the engine roar so that the wheels were splashing the river's water on the stranger before fleeing the scene.
"Are you okay?!" you placed your hands on Senku's cheeks, onviously worried.
"Kukuku, of course." he smiled. "Takes more than that to pierce through carbon fiber!"
He said it confidently, but you could see his pale face and his hands shaking. You smiled, your eyebrows furrowed, and kissed him on the forehead.
Right now, you were just glad everyone was okay and in one piece.
