Minsun's POV
"Sit down" Mr. Kim
Haneul and I sat down beside each other.
"I don't think I should be here" Haneul
"Why?"
"This is a dinner between your parents and their friends" Haneul
"You are here anyway. Stay"
"You are really good at controlling me" Haneul
"Oh, I am Ryu Minsun" I introduced and smiled at them
"Hey, how are you? It's been so long since I last saw you" Mrs. Kim smiled
"Y-Yeah hahaha" I laughed awkwardly
I met them before? I didn't know that.
"You are still young when I met you. You and Min kyu used to play together" Mrs. Kim
"R-Really?"
"You don't remember?" Mr. Kim
"I think I just forgot since I was still young back then. I always forget everything easily"
"I see" Mrs. Kim
"This is my son, Kim Min kyu Mr. Kim
"Hey" I greeted and we shaked hands
"Are you going to stay here for good?" Mr. Kim
"No, I am here for vacation. I am too stressed in states"
"Ah, then you should enjoy your vacation here" Mrs. Kim
"I will enjoy"
"You should go here sometimes" Mrs. Kim
I nodded and smiled.
Then the guy named Kim Min kyu was staring at me from time to time. He remembers me but I don't remember him. Am I too old to forget him? Tsk. I should get to know him since he is my friend back then.
"So, I heard Min kyu will take over the business? That's good" Dad
"Yes, Sir. I want to continue the business and make it grow even more" Min kyu answered politely and smiled
"What a good man" Dad
"You must be a good cook?" Mom
"I can cook but not that good" Min kyu
"Why so humble, son? You are a good cook" Dad
"I don't believe my Father. I just learned some food to cook when I am watching the chefs. I tried it myself when I am watching tutorials when I was young" Min kyu
"You should cook for us sometimes" Mom
"I will" Min kyu
"Minsun is a good cook too, right?" Mrs. Kim
"N-No hahaha"
"I think she is. She told me before she wants to be a chef and will eat everything she will cook" Min kyu
I said that?! Why can't I remember?
"She's in a cooking class. Min kyu is right, she wants to be a chef" Dad
"That's nice. Maybe you can cook sometimes" Mrs. Kim
"Yeah, I'll visit here again"
"How about you Haneul?" Mr. Kim
"I am in the same cooking class with Minsun but I also want to be a pilot. I take two classes" Haneul
Yep, his dream is to be a pilot but he took cooking class because he wants to cook for his future wife someday.
"I see. You are good looking and you are smart too. You will have a better future. Good luck on your classes" Mr. Kim
"Thank you, Sir" Haneul smiled
"Are you two in a relationship?" Mrs. Kim
"No, Ma'am. We are friends" Haneul
"Best friends"
"I see, you two look good together. Why not date each other? You two have a good future" Mrs. Kim
"I want to focus on my studies as possible and I will date after or during college"
"How about Min kyu? Is he dating someone? I heard some of his friends are in a relationship, got married and engaged" Mom
"No, Ma'am. I want to focus on our business and also my studies. I'll just date when everything's fine without me" Min kyu
"You should enjoy your life too, don't just focus on studies and business" Dad
"Yeah, back then, your Mom and I used to find some hot guys in the school" Mom
"We promised to marry the two basketball players but we ended up marrying these two" Mrs. Kim
"I still remember the guy I like but I heard he is in a complicated situation. His wife wants to divorce with him" Mom
"Are you two going to keep talking about them?" Dad
"If you are, just talk outside" Mr. Kim
I see, they are best friends.
I saw Min kyu staring at me and suddenly looked away. What is he up to? Do I look pretty tonight? I should've not wore a dress. I look stupid.
"I heard the mall here is big and has a lot of boutiques with new clothes. Want to go?" Haneul
"Really?"
"I even heard a new restaurant opened there. Should we eat there?" Haneul
"Of course. We always eat at new restaurants in state, so the hobby should continue"
"Alright. It's your treat anyway" Haneul
"You are crazy" I whispered
I saw Min kyu looked at me again and looked away. I see, the dress doesn't look good on me. The dinner finished and we decided to go home.
"You drive" I told Haneul and hop in the car
Mom and Dad has separate car from us. Haneul started driving while my parents' car is following ours. We arrived at home. Mom and Dad went to their room. I changed my clothes into pajama and went downstairs. I saw Haneul watching some movies.
I sat on the couch "It feels weird"
"Why?" Haneul looked at me
"Min kyu keep staring at me. I think the dress doesn't look good on me"
"Maybe" Haneul
"I knew it. I should've just wore jeans and shirt. That looks better on me than that dress"
"Maybe he just remembered you? Since you guys are friend when you are young" Haneul
"I don't know. It's just weird when he was staring at me. Like hello? He should've thought I might feel comfortable with his stare"
"Just go to sleep. You are the weird one" Haneul said and watched again
I sighed.
It's really weird. Tsk.
