XXXXX (Just enjoy the picture)
We all head out into the hall and down the way into the elevator. I go in last and the doors close behind us. I press the button for the first floor, and we slowly--- PAINFULLY SLOWLY--- start to go down in the lift. I slump my body against the wall, standing next to a terrified Noi.
Is he scared of me because of what happened last night?
...
Probably.
Great, now I feel bad. I guess I should make it up to him... somehow. An apology should be good enough.
"..."
How the hell do I apologize again?
...
Well, I guess not scaring him would be a good start. I nudge him with my arm, and he practically dies in wince. Man, how scary was I last night?
"Sorry..." I whisper to him.
"H-Huh?"
I cross my arms around my body and sigh. I look at him with a soft gaze and a gentle smile.
"I didn't mean to scare you so badly." I hum.
"Scared? No! N-no, I wasn't scared!" He insists.
I chuckle. Right. A man's pride will always get in the way.
"Ok. You weren't scared. But I'm sorry anyways."
"Hah. You should be sorry," Gruffs Asch.
"You're only lucky that we don't kill you." Charges Leif.
I roll my eyes.
"Do I need to knock you fellas out again?" I joke.
They each turn pale.
Ok...?
Ava laughs to herself and tells me,
"Sorry, Juli, but they don't really understand JOKES or SARCASM."
"Really?"
She nods.
How lame.
The elevator dings as we reach the first floor. I leave the elevator first and we head outside to the parking lot. Then, I pull out my RENTAL car keys and lead the group to the nice, silver, Toyota SUV that I'm renting while I'm up here.
"Alright guys, get in." I huff, walking around to the driver's seat.
Asch gasps.
"You have your own metal beast!?" He draws into shock.
"Uhh... it's called a CAR."
Ava laughs again, and adds to my statement.
"Yeah, Asch! Lots of people have cars."
"Is it going to attack us again?" Noi asks.
"Wait, again?" Ava pops.
Rhys laughs, nervously.
"Ahaha, that was a joke!"
"I thought you guys didn't understand jokes." I puff.
Something is up...
But again, I don't really care.
"Uhhh..."
My comment seems to stump the boys in their tracks.
I shrug it off.
"Oh well. Let's just get in the car."
Everyone nods and we hop in. Ava in the passenger seat (because from what I've seen, I don't trust any of the boys next to me while
I'm driving), Noi, Leif and Rhys in the middle row, and both Asch and Pierce in the back seats. I put the keys into the ignition and start the engine.
But before I start driving, I turn myself around to face the Daemos.
"Now, before we start... This is NOT MY CAR. If you do anything to it, I'll have to pay a LOT of money. So heed my warning. IF you do anything to hurt this car... I will END you all."
"Typical Juli..." Sighs Ava.
"Hey!"
I scoff and turn to sit right.
Ok. Let's go.

I pull into a parking slot in the lot of the restaurant, and turn off the engine. I check on the boys in the rearview mirror and see them clinging to whatever they can for dear life.
"I-I-Is it over yet?" Chatters Asch.
I laugh.
"Yep! We're here!"
"Uhh. Juli? We're at IHoop."
"Yeah."
"What happened to going to the grocery store?" Ava buzzes.
"Too hungry. We shop later."
I smile at her before unbuckling and getting out of the car. The boys swiftly follow, as well as Ava. IHoop. The greatest place for breky. Breky breakfast. I'm willing to bet that I'm going to have to pay for all of our meals... Since Ava probs doesn't have a job.
Oh well.
"Come now, my friends! To IHoop!!"
We march on inside.
We walk inside and the boys each let out 'ooh's at the same time.
"This place smells amazing!"
"There's a lot of humans here." Leif notices.
"What is this place?" Asks Noi.
I turn to them, assuming that they've never been to an IHoop before.
"This. Is. A. SACRED. Place."
"Sacred?"
"Like Ava's bath-rum?"
I look at Ava.
"What the shmeckle-heck have you been telling them?" I utter.
She gives an awkward laugh.
I move on.
"No, not like Ava's Bathroom. This is a place to come eat with friends, family, and people you enjoy. Plus, the food here is to die for."
Leif pops up.
"Killing?"
"N-No. No killing."
"At all...?"
"None. Whatsoever."
He slumps in posture.
"Just be on your best behaviors, guys." Ava adds.
"Okay..." They all huff.
"Hello!"
I turn to the woman who will seat us.
"Hi!" I greet.
"How many are with you?"
"Seven."
"Okey-Dokey! Right this way!" She hums.
I motion for the group to follow.
"C'mon you guys."
We are seated at a corner booth next to a window.
Noice. I sit in between Noi and Rhys, as the seating lady leaves us. Noi is on the edge on the left, then me, Rhys, Ava, Asch, Leif, and Pierce. I take my menu and browse the options.
"Hey, Rhys? What are you going to get?" Wonders Asch.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because. I can't read, and I trust your judgement on food."
"There ARE pictures, you know." I chuckle.
"Yeah, but I still want what Rhys is getting."
"I don't even know what most of this stuff is." Rhys slumps.
I sigh.
"Ok, I'll help you guys decide."
And so I do. Takes damn forever, but I do it.
...
Pancakes for everyone.
Simple and even.
Geeze, I am so smart.
The waitress comes around to take our order.
"Hello! My name is Gigi, and I'll be your waitress for today! Can I start you off with drinks?"
"Water all around, please." Juliet asks.
"I don't want water." Ava states.
I look at Ava, slightly irritated that she's doing this when the waitress has come.
"Then what do you want?" I add.
Ava says with a scrunched up face, "Anything but water, I just don't want water."
I say, starting to get more irritated, "Then hurry up and pick something."
Ave rolls her eyes and browses the drink section of the menu.
"I guess i'll have... I... You know what? Just give me a Hi-C."
The waitress looks at her gently.
"Since that's a kids meal, that comes in juice boxes. Is that okay, miss?"
Ava frowns very unpleased.
Rhys speaks up now.
"It would seem that this ra-trose has displeased sorceress Ava."
"Should I kill her?" Leif asks.
Since the boys aren't really whispering, they had their conversation right in front of the waitress herself. And now the waitress looks very confused.
"H-huh?" The waitress utters.
"Leif!" Snaps Rhys.
"What?! If sorceress Ava is offended then there has to be someone to clean up the wrong doing. And if it's not any of you, then it should be me!"
Rhys sighs deeply. Asch takes over to explain the delicate situation.
"We don't do that here on E-arth. Haven't you noticed there's no killing here?"
All of us look at him, shocked.
Utterly shocked.
Asch sighs, just as deeply as Rhys.
"What are you looking at me for? We need to blend in here on E-arth, and if there's no killing then we must not kill either."
"Since when was Asch smart?" Asks Noi.
"Hey! I've always been smart!"
I clear my throat aggressively. Each of the boys looks at me.
"Uh, guys, the waitress is still here you know."
"That means you can have this conversation later." I say through gritted teeth.
Leif sighs,
"Yeah, whatever you say, Sorceress Juliet."
"Just Juliet, you know."
I clear my throat, turning to the waitress.
"So sorry about them. They're just morons."
"Of course... So that'll be six waters and a Hi-C?"
Ava nods,
"Yes, please."
The waitress writes down our drink orders and walks off--- probably both very confused and creeped out.
Well, this should be interesting. Breakfast with Demons.
Daemos.
