♢the honeymoon

3 weeks in the beautiful and sunny Bali, you and Tom have been on your romantic trip for almost 2 weeks. It has been a refreshing 14 days for you both, no stress no worries no bothers, at least until you began to feel ill, and started throwing up in the mornings.
later on
You lie in the villa beds scrolling through your phone until you see a notification from your tracking app telling you to track your period. You go to fill it in until you realise- you haven't had a period for at least 5 weeks, you have just been assuming it was late, or a little irregular.
You continue with the honeymoon, trying to ignore the aching in your lower stomach. Tom notices something is up and he tries his best to comfort you,
'Hey, look, we can fly home if you want, I don't wanna be here if your not happy?' He rubs your back and and you blink before getting up and leaving the room. You quickly mumble telling Tom that you have to leave but he stands waiting at the door, telling you to stop.
You decide that the signs are too much, illness, period, craving and more.
You rush down the empty and sun-stained street until you see the small shop, you walk in and grab a few blue and pink boxes off of the stands, you also grab some chocolates for good measure. You pay the smiling man behind the counter and leave, you put the items in a small carrier bag and head to the toilet through the back door of your villa. You open the boxes and look at inside-there isq tests, pregnancy tests.
You use all 3 and then wait for the results, you check the first on after a few minutes, your heart drops, a small coloured line develops on the stick, you bite your lip and check the next one, the same thing appears, it's faint but definitely there, you double check them all, they all say the same and they all mean the same, they mean positive.
You sit on top of the bathroom counter, staring at the floor, wondering what this all means.
You're pregnant?..
You hear shuffling at the door and jump up, you scramble up the tests put them in the bin and wash your hands, you open the door and try to act as calm as possible, Tom stares at you confusedly,
'You left, you good?' He smiles and looks at you,
'Just nipped to the shops to.. get you those chocolates!' You pause in the middle then point to the carrier bag, Tom laughs and thanks you.
You walk outside together and swim around in the pool, you still ignore the elephant in the room, probably because Tom has no idea. You place your hands on your belly, even though it's not grown yet, you felt like you could feel something.
♢ FIVE DAYS LATER
You feel less ill now, but more dizzy, you hide it all from Tom, it hurts you to do but you don't know how to tell him. He's always said he wants kids- just as long as its a few years from now.
You lie on the blow-up bed floating slowly in the calm pool water, you hear Tom approaching slowly, with a much less upbeat attitude than usual.
'Hey babe, you alright?'
You say sheilding your arms from the sun, as you turn onto your stomach so you can see him, he stands in his swimming trunks with his hand on his chin,
'No, no not really, y/n,' He paces back and forth and his tongue traces along his lips, you clench your teeth nervously and slide off of your pool floatie into the water, you adjust your swim suit and sit beside the pool, waiting for Tom to speak,
'I went to the bathroom, y/n' He looks at you but doesn't make eye contact, you look anxiously and him and he sits down next to you, swirling his feet in the water,
'I saw the boxes, the boxes in the bin when I was putting a tissue away,' He says softly with his eyes locked onto the pool.
'What boxes?' You say innocently, even though you know exactly what he means.
'Pregnancy tests y/n, fucking pregnancy tests.' His voice cracks a little and you flinch, you know that you can't lie now.
'Why didn't you tell me, i- I mean is it real?' He closes his eyes and slides further into the pool, you watch him begin to float and reply,
'It's real, I didn't want to bother us on our honey moon.' You breathe shakily and Tom looks up at me,
'We're gonna have a real-life kid, okay, ah um!? Holy shit, babe, we are not ready.' Tom runs his hands through wet hair and you say sadly,
'I know we aren't ready, we don't have to keep it, what do you want?' You cuddle your knees to your face and Tom slowly pulls you down to swim next to him and you both float together, he wraps his arm around your waist and you lean on his bare shoulders.
'We may not be ready, but doesn't mean I don't want this, but, it's up to you. This is our baby and we need to do whatever is best for us.' He strokes your hair and smiles, you smile back at him and he breaths quickly,
'I guess we're having a kid then,' He laughs and you laugh too, before tou embrace eachother and kiss passionately.
I guess we are having a kid then. I'm excited, but this is terrifying.
You think to yourself before you and Tom head inside together.
♢3 months later
You are now 4 weeks pregnant, the struggle is hard but luckily Tom has been home alot. You decide to invest in a new property with Tom, one that is bigger and much more practical for a little family. You dedicate a room for the nursery for your child, but don't really know how to decorate it.
Your baby bump is barely there, no one has noticed yet- at all. The only people that know are, Harrison, Daniel, Alyssa, your parents and Tom's family.
You put on some jogging bottoms and a jumper then grt ready for your appointment. Tom starts the car and you arrive at the Doctor's for your ultrasound!
You sit on the long chair after waiting for around 15 minutes Tom sits next to you, smiling broadly. The doctor examines you and gives you the all clear. He then takes out his clipboard and begins to speak,
'So, everything is all fine, but, something we didn't pick up before is another heart-beat.' The doctor nods his bald head and reads his clipboard, me and Tom exchange worried glances,
'Im sorry? You said two heartbeats?' You shuffle in your seat and the doctor chuckles,
'Yes, your having twins, and you're welcome to know the gender when your ready,'
'This cannot be real, man,' Tom squeezes your hand and you bite your lip, You giggle and hug Tom, this is amazing, it's news your actually happy to hear,
'Doc, can we find out the gender?' Tom nods at you and you nod back supportively.
'Yes, of course, you will be having two little girls!' The doctor looks at us both kindly and leaves the room, you let out your breath and Tom launches himself at you and you both hug eachother tightly.
♢9 months pregnant
'I want this over with, I want them out,' You rest my hands on your belly as you sit on the sofa, Tom laughs and pats your shoulders. You finished doing up the nursery room and it is white with a creative wall mural and a pastel pink rug, it has a blue lampshade in the shape of a hot air balloon and two large cribs with soft yellow blankets and a small teddy in each. On low shelves, there are many different toys, balls, dolls, teddys, action men, sulvannian families and more. The room is fit for princesses.
♢one week later
'TOM, GET HERE NOW.' You lean heavily on the sofa arm and Tom comes sliding in, your water just broke, like actually broke. Tom grabs the baby packs you made with outfits and things and you head to the hospital in a rush. You breath deeply and heavily, Tom keeps looking at you nevously and you arrive at the hospital.
You are led into a private room and enjoy the relaxed air, you feel the contractions but the doctors ease you through it.
In a few hours you're going to have 2 little humans.
Life is so fast.
