I woke up early in the morning, feeling thirsty. I look at my phone to check the time before I made my way to the kitchen for glass of water before waddling back to my bedroom.
On my way, I saw our front door slightly open making me stop.

I went to it and open all the lights. Looking around to confirm if someone break in our house.
All the things in the house is pretty much the same and seems all fine.
Of course, we're in the middle of the farm after all.
I peak outside and see no one. The cold breeze greeted me instead, slapping my cheeks lightly as I close my eyes.
I think my parents just forgot to close it.
Before I even close the door, I saw a faint light in the only large tree in the middle of the farm.
"Who could possibly go there in this hour?" I blinked to adjust my eyes in the darkness, trying to recognize the figure standing and looking up at the tree. "It's almost 3 am."
Oh right, people here wakes earlier that I normally do.
I was about to close the door when I saw the figure fell down.
Oh no.
I stepped out of the house without thinking twice. Obviously panic that the person just collapsed or blacked out.
I shivered in cold, trying to find my slippers while hugging my body. I have no time to get my jacket after knowing that someone needed my help.
The cold breeze just make me remember the rooftop where seojun locked me.
I ran to the direction, ignoring the cold air hitting every part that is exposed in my body.
I reached my destination and got surprised when I see taehyung laying down the ground with closed eyes, his arms covering his eyes while his hands tightly closed in fist.
His other hands laying on his stomach as his feet spread openly in the ground. He didn't sense me arriving
"Are you okay?" I asked, crouching beside him.
He move his arms to see me before putting it back in his eyes. "Why are you here?"
"You," I didn't answer him. "Why are you here?"
"That's not an answer to my question." He said with a scolding but shivering tone.
"You didn't answer my first question too." I replied. "Let's go back in the house, you're cold."
"You are too." He didn't move.
His answer makes me sigh. He won't really listen to me.
Why no one told me taehyung could be this stubborn?
"That's the point, we're both shivering." I let out a huff. "Now let's go back in the house."
"You go back in the house." He said without looking, not even paying a glance and just speaking what he want to.
"Kim Taehyung." I said sternly. Didn't you told me that I'm your friend?"
My words make him look at me tiredly, his eyes bit of a red and lips already purple.
My goodness, how long he has been out here?
"What about it?" His voice monotone as he lay there like a frozen statue.
"Then let me be a true friend and let me help you." I told him. "Let's go back home."
I offered him my hands which he just look for a few minutes.
He hesitated but soon takes my hands and stand up.
"Your hands is cold." He commented after grabbing my hands. "You shouldn't have go outside without a jacket."
"Then you shouldn't have gone here." I scoffed. "I'm so terrified when I saw some figure falling down. I thought someone collapse or something."
I heard a almost faint, shivering, chuckle.
"Who even told you to come and help." He said.
"Cause I'm a concern citizen." I replied.
"You helped me only because you're a concern citizen?" His voice sounded sad for a moment.
His question makes me think.

I become silent for a while. "No,"
I felt his stares on me as we walk. "Then why?"
"Because I care." I look up at him and give him a genuine smile. "Didn't I told you that I'm your friend?"
My answer make him smile as he squeezed my hands.
A cold strong wave of air hit us making us shiver more.
"It's so cold here." Taehyung bit his lips. "Let's walk fast."
I tried to stop my already chattering teeth as I speak. "Let's run."
Taehyung give me a small nod before squeezing my hands once again. "When I count to three."
"One." I started.
"Two." I remove my hands from his and give him a challenging smile.
"The last to reach our house will admit that he's stupid." Before I even finish my sentence, I'm already running far away from him.
"Yah! That's cheating!" Taehyung yelled as he ran behind me. "Three!"
I laughed seeing him slowly catching up with me. When I noticed that he's already much too near and dangerous, I forced my feet to run faster.
As I expected, I reached first. No one can beat a track and field runner.
With a little bit of cheating.
I smiled to myself.
"Ready to admit that you're a loser?" I greeted taehyung who is panting as he reached me.
"You.." He paused, catching his breath. "Cheated."
I give him a sly grin. "You want some hot coffee?"
He look at me as I open our front door, Making my way inside.
Running builds some sweat in my forehead as the cold feeling left my body.
It feels hot now.
