"Mosquitos huh?" Levi said sarcastically beside your ear, as he reach his arms around you to grab onto the fish in your hands. You almost jumped by his sudden voice coming from behind you, as the fish flip flops in between your hands. You try your best to hold onto the fish, as you feel Levi's muscular body press onto your back, a very warm and secure feeling. "How's your body", Levi whispers into your ear. A light blush came to your cheeks, "to be honest my hip hurts.." Levi's light chuckle near your ear, sends shiver down your spine. Levi swiftly grabs the fishing spear beside your feet, you watch it plop into the water with a splash and a the spear through it as it hit the bottom of the clear stream. The handle stands idly on the current of the fresh water. Nanaba turns around from the sound and smiles happily, as she picks up the spear with the fish on the other end. Her gaze toward your direction, asking " who caught this?"
You point a finger at Levi, as you look at Nanaba. Who suddenly couldn't hold her laughter," pfft,hahaha" You wonder why, as you turn your head to look at Levi, who was pointing a finger at you. The two of your index fingers cross like an "X" toward each other. You shift your gaze from Levi's finger back to his face, as he caught your eyes in his gaze. You turn back to Nanaba standing in the water, almost shedding a tear, " oh god, you two are too cute."
Connie and Sasha peeks behind their hands,meaning to cover their eyes, but can't help but look.
"Is it just me.. Or am I blind" Connie asks.
" It's real Connie, The cute....ness and Corporal? How should I put it..." Sasha, clasps her fingers together and then open them again like opening and closing a blind.
A smile followed by a wink, was all Nanaba gave you after taking your speared fish and put it into a basket with the rest of the caught fish that is ready for dinner tonight. Still squatting by the stream, you thought to yourself ," It's began.." The relationship status between you and Levi is spreading like a wild fire. Levi is making all the moves that makes it clear that the two of you are a couple. Levi stood up when he heard a loud splash coming from the other side of the stream, then followed by Jean's loud voice, making a trail of water down the stream as he come half running and tripping over rocks just to catch that one fish he had his eye on. Jean who was too focus on the fish, only notices you when he got trip over by a large rock. Your eyes widen, trying to brace yourself for the impact with both hands in front of you. As quickly as Jean came, he was flying off the way he came, as you watch a stealthy leg came into view. *Whack* With one swift kick to the forehead, Jean went flying backwards landing into the water with a loud *splash*. Jean immediate sat up, and coughs holding onto his painful forehead with one hand, while whipping of the droplets of water down his face.
"Corporal! Why am I the one being kicked?!"
Levi who was about to walk away, turn his head slightly to Jean with a deadpan face. "I was trying to kick the fish, but you were in the way. You should thank me for saving you from falling flat on your face."
Jean his face baffled, starts making a current in the stream with his arms like a child trying to play a water fight. Marco trots after Jean with a slight chuckle, trying to grab Jean's arms, said, "Jean, we're not going to catch any fish you do that...."
Sitting down on the bank of the stream, you chuckle along, as you watch Marco scratch the back of his head with a light laugh, while Jean is on his knees trying to find another fish.
You were snapped out of your trance from watching Jean and Marco, when you heard Levi's voice calling out your name from atop of you. Looking up directly from your sitting position. Levi plants a kiss on your forehead, his fingers lightly ruffles your hair, said, "See you tonight." And left just as quickly as he came.
Turning your head back to Marco and Jean. You could only stare back, as their gaze was locked on you. They were as stiff as a wax figure. Jean who first came to his senses and straightforwardly asks, " You two... are a couple?" You admitted shyly with two nods.
Marco smiles back at you and said, " aw~ she's blushing"
Jean stood up from the water, grabbing Marco's collar much at a lost asks "..how? I mean when?" Jean looks back at you while Marco grabs Jean's hands off his collar, replies "maybe you should ask her?.." patting Jean lightly on the shoulder.
You took this chance to escape any more questions. As you quickly stroll toward the camping site, you can still hear Jean's questions streaming out like a waterfall. "It's a long story" you called back with a slight wave and quickly join the others by the fire.
Fortunately, everyone caught a fish that day, so no one is sleeping on an empty stomach. After dinner, all flames are watered down. You are already in your tent and was rolling out your sleeping bag, the entrance to your tent close off by overlaying the fabric and tied up. When you hear a few light taps on top of your tent. You pull on the string, the overlaying fabric unveil like a curtain, reveals Levi squatting in front of your tent. You stare at him, he stares back at you just the same. After a few seconds of silence, you quickly pull the two flaps of fabric toward you, closing off the entrance with only your head peeking out. Levi had a shocked expression when you did that. You narrow your eyes and said, "you can't come in."
"why not?" he said, leaning slightly forward.
He plants a kiss on your forehead.
You shook your head at him.
He kisses your on the right cheek, a light blush come to your cheeks, after he plants another kiss on your left cheek.
"This is very convenient." he said.
"What?" you question.
"To kiss you." Levi said with a grin.
You blush a shade of red, as he sighs, says "Well then, maybe I should just sleep outside your tent."
"No Levi, you can't do that!" you whisper.
From the tent next to you , Nanaba pokes her head out, and said, "Just let him in, Cadet ___, he won't bite... since we have a lot to do tomorrow." she grins.
Taking her words. As soon as you let Levi in, you zip yourself into your sleeping bag. Levi lay on his back with his head turn to you chuckles, "Aren't you hot in there?"
"A little", you unzip just enough for your head to poke out and breathe.
"Perfect size for a body pillow" he said as he turns to the side to face you, pulling you into his chest, wrapping his firmly arms around you. You sigh in defeat,completely unzipping out of your sleeping bag, you snuggle against him. Finding his warmth more comfortable then the sleeping bag. Levi smiles, wrapping his arms physically around you this time, as you try to sleep.
His chin lay arest on top of your head, then he leans down grazing his lower lip onto your forehead and whispers," I don't think I can love you enough"
You smile to yourself and barrows yourself against his chest, like there is more space, when there really isn't. Levi chuckles as he said, "if you keep doing that you're going to drill a hole in me."
You lean your head back up to look at Levi's face. Who's eyes are already close, but you stared at his relaxed face long enough for him to open one eye. "What" he said.
You smile at him said," I love you." Both of Levi's eyes now fully open, he shifts his body position just slightly as he grabs one of you hand and pulling your arm, in between his arm and the side of his chest, so both of your bodies are completely stuck together with no space in between. Even though you couldn't see Levi's blushing face, but his heartbeat beating against your ear is enough. After a few moments of silence, you had slowly drift off into sleep, as Levi continues to ruffle his fingers through you hair. He smiles to himself and closes his eyes.
