Amigo
Whenever I remember a memory with you in it,
My hands always yearn to reach that distant past,
To recall the days that won't seem to last.
Bidding farewells is bitter a bit.
These emotions that built me,
Are winding me to feel wistful.
I have never been this wishful,
To resurrect the way we used to be.
I wonder why my eyes drop tears.
What should I hold as an alibi,
To my questioning heart that never lie?
I never wanted to be consumed with fears.
I lost you once my amigo,
But every time I touch something impalpable,
My mind wonders for something impossible.
Longing alone won't revive my former alter ego.
