“Uhm, Hi Miss, Can I get your number?” A guy in blonde hair asked me.
I just smirked before answering, “Don't you think. it's quite rude to asked for someone's number instead of their name first?” I told him.
He must seem taken a back with my statement that made him stare at me.
I started to walk out the library when he followed me.
“Hey Miss!” He yelled out that made everyone shhhh him out.
Embarrassing, but he seems cool with it.
“You know what, you're pretty interesting!” He told me and chuckled.
I just rolled my eyes and put a smug on my face, well I guess being an old fashioned makes me an interesting person.
“Get lost.” I told him and walk away and headed out of the library, but he is still following me.
I raised my eyebrows and looked at him irritatingly.
“Since I don't know your name, I'll call Beautiful from now on.” He said and smiled cheeckly.
Ew, wtf did he just say? Beautiful? Is he trying to insult me?
“I'll go now, see you tomorrow Beautiful!” He yelled out while running away to catch up with his friends.
Allen, the famous player in this school, known for being a total womanizer & no Allen, I won't fall in you petty traps to allure women.
But who am I kidding, that night I didn't get enough sleep.
Tomorrow came, it seem usual just like everyday not until he showed up while smiling prettily, how I want to erase those smiles.
“Hello Beautiful, how's your sleep?” He asked.
I increase the volume of my earphones, loud enough for him to hear the music and passed him.
I made my way to my classroom and he is still following me, damn it, he even sat beside me.
I removed my earphones and take out my notes and read, just like everyday.
The professor came and looked at Allen confusingly and told him to leave and so he did that made everyone chuckled, before heading out he yelled
“See you later beautiful!” that made everyone looked at me teasingly.
Discussion went well, and the bell rang as signal for lunch break, I took my bag and noticed something inside it, it was an apple with a sticky note attached on it saying “Smile, you're beautiful.”
I sighed and threw the apple in the trashbin.
“Hey! You shouldn't have done that!” A tall guy snapped out on me.
It was Minhee, His friend.
“Did you know that he buy that early this morning! And you shouldn't waste food.” He said while looking at me disappointedly and walked away.
I somehow felt guilty, but it's better to take precautions or else, I might end up just like his girls.
He'll play with their feelings and dumped them once they develop affection towards him, a total douche.
I shrugged my head and started my way to the library since I need to finish some requirements, better finish it early.
Upon my way, everyone is looking at me, they probably knew that I am Allen's new apple of his eye, quite funny and ridiculous at the same time since I remembered the apple in my bag earlier.
The moment I was in front of the library's door, he's there and scrolling to his phone, I was about to pass him when he grabbed me by hand that I immediately removed.
I looked at him showing how annoyed I am.
“You're so pretty when you're mad.” He told me and chuckled. “Come on let's grab lunch!” He added.
“Leave me alone and Get lost.” I told him and went inside, hours passed, I finally finished my reports and documents needed for minor subjects, apparently all requirements and school works for the whole month are all finished, I looked at my wrist watch and saw it was already 4, I didn't attend my previous classes since those subjects are quite easy and boring.
I went outside the library and feel my stomach ache, I haven't eat anything this day, I looked at my wallet and saw some bills which is the remaining allowance for this month, I'm so broke.
Maybe I'll just eat at the dorm, I just sighed. Living alone is so hard but need to deal with it.
I hold my stomach while heading towards the school gate when somebody stopped me.
“Where have you been? I've been looking for you!” He asked worriedly.
Again. I'm pretty tired since my energy drained after doing tons of works all at once.
I just ignored him and headed towards the gate and start my way to the convenience store nearby before heading to the dormitory, I saw Allen still following me in my peripheral vision but I didn't bother to shoo him away.
I get some snacks, bread and beverage and headed towards the counter, I handed the cashier my debit card but it seems like he was having a trouble.
“Ma'am, you're card has insufficient balance, do you have any other cards or pay bills instead?” He asked while giving back my card.
I searched for my wallet and about to hand him the money when somebody from my back handed the cashier a card, It was Allen, for the 99th time again.
“Add this, I'll pay for it, separate the bags.” He said.
I remained silent as the cashier are putting the items into plastic bags.
I carried my items and went straight to the entrance and waited for Allen since he's buying more stuff.
As he was approaching into my direction, I handed him the amount of money which my items cost and said thank you then started to walk but he suddenly held my wrist and smile.
“Ice cream?” He asked while handing me an ice cream.
I sighed heavily and get the ice cream in his hands, I'm too tired to argue with him.
We sat in the bench provided outside the store and looked at the people passing us by while eating when I saw familiar couple across the street.
It was Serim, my ex boyfriend together with his new girlfriend. I looked away trying to avoid them, what a small isn't it.
I heard Allen sighed heavily beside me.
“You must've been hate me so much, aren't you?” He asked.
I can't help but to smirk with his question.
“Yes, I hate people like you, you're a total douche bag who only use women to play with when you're bored.” I answered him straightforwardly.
“Yeah.” He agreed with me.
“But you know what? You're really interesting! The way you speak to me, the way you dress, everything. You're personality is intriguing.” He added while looking at me amazedly.
I looked at my reflection of myself from a car who passed by. Plain shirt, long skirt, converse shoes. Old fashioned. Well, I'm not trying to impress anyone so what's the use of dressing up anyway.
“You find me interesting because you're thinking that I'm the first girl who dumped you, and don't give a damn towards you? And you suddenly felt challenged? Is that so?” I asked back.
He looked at me with visible amusement in his eyes.
“Wow you're so straight forward.” He whispered.
I just shrugged my shoulders and chuckled.
“So why me? Is this another dare from your friends?” I asked.
“It's because out of curiosity. I've been dying to know how it feel to be near to someone like you.” He answered that made me nodded my head.
“At first, I thought you're just another typical girl who will fell for me immediately but as time days passed you didn't and I felt so challenged but it turned out that I just want to know you more.” He said.
“And I never been so much honest to anyone except you.” He added.
I looked at him straight to his eyes and laughed hysterically with matching clapping hands.
“Hey that sounds convincing! If I don't actually know I might fall for that!” I told him while still laughing.
He looked at me confusedly and asked "Why?"
“You know what, I'm not buying it. How long did you rehearsed that line? That went pretty natural, but no I'm not buying it.” I told him and stood up and about to leave.
“I can change, just give me a chance to prove it to you!” He said as he held my hand.
“How many times did you tell that to your previous girls? 10? 20? 50? I'm not falling for it.” I told and and shoo his hands off me.
“You're hopeless, people like you will never change. You're no different from my dad and my ex boyfriend, you are all bunch of players and users. Stop going near me, it disgusts me.” I told him and walked away.
“I told you I can change! I'll prove it to you.” He yelled full of determination in his voice.
“Nah, don't bother. You're just wasting your time.” I yelled back without looking.
And if fall for you, I might end up being pathetic as ever, just like before, and I'm not doing the same mistake again.
Weeks, months have passed, Allen is so serious about courting me and there's no day that I didn't shoo and pushed him away, He's so annoying.
Roses, Chocolates, Letters and Foods, it's just like that every single day, even rumored surrounds that 'The player has achieved his downfall.'
Everyone knows that Allen is courting and not simply flirting a girl in his whole entire life, and telling me I'm the luckiest one.
Disturbing.
It was college night and everyone is enjoying their moment but not me since I'm part of the organizing team and need to check things per minute.
Allen and his friends will have a presentation number but they're not here yet, I started to head to the room where they were practicing earlier and as every step I take, the heavier I felt.
I knocked twice before opening the door, and right after I opened it, I saw a girl kissed Allen on his lips that made everyone quite and looked shocked.
Everyone looked at my direction and panicked.
“You'll perform in five minutes, be ready.” I said and slammed the door.
I knew this will happen, it must've been good that I prepared myself well.
“YN.” Allen yelled my name out and followed me.
“Let me explain first okay? It's not what you think.” He said as he grabbed my hand.
“It's alright, don't bother, I'm not interested to listen in the first place.” I answered.
“I'm sorry okay? It's not what you're thinking, I told you I changed, I changed because of you. I dated her before but we call it off and she suddenly stormed inside and kissed me. I promise, I'm not cheating behind your back or entertaining other girls anymore.” He explained.
“You'll perform in few minutes, get ready.” I said as I brushed off his hand.
“Why can't you believe me?” He asked.
“I told you already, there's no way for people like you to change. I'm not buying your alibis.”
“I love you!” He said with teary eyed. “Why can't you give me a chance?” He asked.
“Stop pushing me away! Stop holding back your feelings!” He added.
He's right, I'm holding back because I have my reasons, I'm afraid to be left behind again and again.
“You love me? Until when? Until you get tired of me and will threw me away just like what you did to everyone else? Oh please, cut the crap Allen.” I told him and leave.
There's no way I'm getting myself into trouble and make myself feel pathetic again

“Just tell what I need to do to prove myself to you. I'll do everything.” He said and kneeled down.
“I'll be moving to US, three years. If you still love me after that long years, I might give you chance.” I told him and leave him.
Now, it's still up to him whether he'll wait or not.
