Sky: "So everything's good right?" she asks as Lucy gives her an ultrasound and Mark stands behind her

Lucy: "Yep. Everything looks great. Did you want a picture?"

Mark: "Yes, please."

Sky: "So...no complications or anything we need to be on the lookout for?"

Lucy: "Sky, everything is fine. Just try and relax."

Sky: "You have three miscarriages and then get pregnant for a fourth time, tell me if you can relax."

Lucy: "Well then I'm going to need you to relax. Okay. Everything is good so far. And if you feel anything out of the oridinary then you tell me. But for now...enjoy this moment." she hands them the pictures before smiling at them and walking out the room

Mark: "Look at that. See how cute."

Sky: "It's a dot."

Mark: "Yeah, but it's our dot" he leans over to wrap his arms in front of her so they're both looking at the photos and sees the look on her face "Hey...let's not worry until we have to, okay."

Sky: "Okay." she nods and he smiles before pressing a kiss to her cheek

Mark: "I gotta go get Sofia before Callie comes in. I'll see you later."

Derek: "Hey." he smiles when Sky comes into the room where he's holding Zola

Sky: "Hey."

Derek: "So...how'd it got?"

Sky: "Well everything looks good for now...and I'm trying to be positive."

Derek: "How's that working out?"

Sky: "Not good. Part of me wants to make a joke about how if I have to go a whole nine months with this feeling, I'm gonna lose my mind. And the other part of me, with my history, feels like I won't make it nine months...so" she sighs before pushing the hair out her face and shaking her head "I-I need a distraction. Something else to think about. How...how's things going with this one?" she asks grabbing Zola's hand and playing with it smiling when the baby turns her attention to Sky

Derek: "Well Meredith and I are meeting with the social worker. Hoping it all goes well."
Sky: "It will. Besides you guys have an advantage."

Derek: "Oh yeah, what's that?"

Sky: "You're both doctors. That comes with major perks." she says making him chuckle and they turn their attention to Zola as Meredith comes into the room

Meredith: "Sorry I'm late. I was cramming."

Derek: "What, for Hunt? No. You got that in the bag."

Meredith: "No, I'm more worried about the interview with the social worker. Don't laugh at me, Derek. Nothing in my life has prepared me for this. My mother was about as nurturing as a steak knife."

Derek: "I know. I know." he whispers in Zola's ear giving Meredith an amused look

Meredith: "I don't know anything about making lunches or Halloween costumes."

Derek: "Good moms make Halloween costumes. Well, you can sew."

Meredith: "I sew skin."

Sky: "Would you stop scaring the woman. You'll be fine. You'll learn on the way."

Derek: "Yeah. See? It's gonna be fine. It's just instinct, right? Here you go. There you go. Oh, there you go." he hands Zola to Meredith and she begins crying

Meredith: "Okay. Okay. Oh."

Arizona: "She looks good. Her weight's up, and, uh, her previous incisions have healed. The labs are within normal limits...and she's super-duper cute, aren't you? Okay." she comes into the room with a smile

Derek: "So it's an uncomplicated hernia. So you don't have to use any artificial closures, right?"

Arizona: "Yeah, no. No, it's really simple. Good. I'll do a short incision in her suprapubic crease to do a traditional exposure, and then I'll...finish with a...chupo" she says in a singsongy voice making the couple look at her confused "Oh, God. I'm sorry."

Sky: "That's what Callie calls a pacifier." she clarifies for the two making them nod their heads

Arizona: "But Zola hasn't eaten because of the surgery. She's probably hungry. Um, you might want to try to soothe her with the pacifier. Come here, baby. Come here, little baby. Chupo. Oh, yes. There you go. Ooh. Chupo."

Meredith: "Wow."

Arizona: "All right. I'll call you when I'm ready to come take her up."

Derek: "See? We'll figure it out." he smiles at Meredith before walking out the room after Arizona lefts

Sky: "You'll be fine." she reassures Meredith before walking out the room

Callie: "Oh. Hey. Rivers. Uh, my knee replacement got canceled, and I need to break some bones."

Sky: "Aren't you supposed to mend them?"

Callie: "Well, it's my first day back, and I left my baby for the first time since we got home. I need to remember why I love being a surgeon so much or I'm afraid I will walk out of here and never come back. It doesn't have to be big. Just a sprained ankle, hairline fracture, anything."

Sky: "Okay." she nods going over to a computer to look up something for her

Callie: "Oh, my God. Anytime I hear a baby cry, it makes me think of Sofia. They all sound like her. Wait. That really sounds like her" they turn around to see Mark holding Sofia by a nurses desk and a bunch of nurses surroinding him "What? What are you doing here?" she asks moving over to him

Mark: "It's bring your daughter to work day."

Callie: "No, it's not."

Mark: "I bathed her, changed her. I fed her, I napped her. Hi. We read a book, played with that little hanging, jingling thing...and it was still only 11:30. I needed some adult contact."

Callie: "Please take this baby away from me."

Mark: "Sure."

Callie: "I'm serious. Take her, Mark."

Mark: "Okay."

Callie: "Oh, my God. Oh, my God. This baby's crack. She's a crack baby."

Mark: "You shouldn't call her that."

Sky: "Torres. You're in luck. Motorcycle crash 20 minutes out." she comes over to them after getting off the phone

Callie: "Yes."

Sky: "Hi."

Mark: "Hey." they smile at each other as she gets a page

Callie: "Okay. Oh, I love you, but mommy's gotta go to work. Take her, Mark."

Mark: "Give me the baby."

Callie: "Just physically lift her from my arms" he takes Sofia out of Callie's arms and she starts crying a little "Oh, no."

Mark: "No, no. It's not that bad."

Callie: "Okay. I'll be right...back...back you go. Okay." she pretends to take a nibble out of her feet before clearing her throat and walking away

Cristina: "Oh, Kepner."

April: "Cristina."

Cristina: "Did you get the O.R.?"

April: "I did. I-"

Cristina: "Yes. Kepner, you know what? I think I figured out something about you. I have not had sex for, like, three days, and I think it's giving me super powers. Everything is bright and clear. I am solving problems. No wonder you are so organized. You have virgin super powers."

April: "I-I don't think that that has anything to-"

Cristina: "No, seriously. Thank you. I-I've been shut out of cardio for months, and today is, like, the first day I felt like myself. Thank you. I really needed this."

April: "Oh, my God."

Cristina: "What?"

April: "You're just, like, treating me like a friend."

Cristina: "Yeah. So?" she asks as they walk into the patient's room and find Sky, Teddy, and Richard standing there

Sky: "I'll go in and excise the tree with minimal invasion to your lungs."

Teddy: "Dr. Yang."

Richard: "Join us, please."

April: "Sorry. I needed this, too."

Man: "I don't understand. Why isn't Dr. Yang doing the surgery?"

Richard: "Well, she's certainly capable, but Dr. Altman is our chief of cardio."

Teddy: "I have experience with complex cases like yours."

Man: "Okay, see, I saw three doctors for this cough before I came here today. They all said the same thing, "it'll go away. Be patient." And then I wake up this morning, and I'm coughing up blood. And then this one over here tells me it's cancer."

April: "Come on. That is not what I said."

Man: "Then finally...I meet Dr. Yang here. And she says it's not a cough and it's not cancer, but a tree in my lung...nd just like that, I'm not gonna die. I'm gonna be fine. So if she can do the surgery, I'd like to stick with her."

Teddy: "You're actually considering this?" she asks when they walk out the patient's room and down the hall

Ricahrd: "Look, just answer the question. Can she perform the surgery?"

Teddy: "Yes, she can. She is capable."

Cristina: "In my defense, I was simply streamlining the process and took the initiative-"

Teddy: "Cut the crap. You went behind my back to spite me."

Cristina: "Well, you gave me no choice."

Richard: "Okay, look, enough. You obviously have axes to grind, and I'm not gonna stand here while you sort it out. In the meantime, this patient needs surgery. He's more comfortable with Yang doing it."

Teddy: "She should be suspended for insubordination, but you're gonna reward her instead?"

Richard: "I'll decide disciplinary actions, Dr. Altman, and I will take them out on Dr. Yang, not on the patient. You and Rivers will observe."

Teddy: "Yes, sir." she says as Sky nods her head

Richard: "Kepner, you'll assist. Oh, sir, under the circumstances, don't you think that it would-"

Richard: "The...the decision's been made. And I'll make sure Dr. Hunt considers this in his evaluation for chief resident."

Cristina: "Let's get him prepped."

Mark: "Oh, please don't." he says when Sky walks into a room where he's in and she goes to turn the light on

Sky: "You scared me."

Mark: "Sorry. This is the only place she'll fall asleep. Turns out she's as bored with radiology as we are. I'll get out of your way."

Sky: "No, no, no. You stay. Besides she looks comfortable." she leans against the table

Mark: "You want to hold her?"

Sky: "No, it's okay."

Mark: "Come on. Look at that face. You know you want to. Plus it'll be good practice."

Sky: "Pretty sure if you move her she'll cry. So..." she sighs

Mark: "You realize that by worrying you're just stressing yourself out. Which is the opposite of what you should be doing."

Sky: "So you're gonna tell me that you're not worried. Not even in the slightest."

Mark: "Of course I'm worried. But you seem to be worried enough for the both of us. So I've opted for being the more calmer one" he says as she gives a breathy chuckle "Just think...in a couple of months we'll be back here hiding in one of these rooms with our own little one." he says as she sighs again

Sky: "I want to be excited. I am excited. But...I just can't get my hopes up again...only for it to..."

Mark: "I know. I'm just trying to make you smile."

Sky: "You do that already" she  smiles at him before leaning over to press a kiss to his lips "My pagers gonna beep any minute. Should probably leave before it wakes her up."

Mark: "Go" he nods as she walks out the room before looking down at a sleeping Sofia "You see her. She's carrying your future brother or sister."

Cristina: "I have it. I have it. Okay, can I get some more suction down here, please? Look at that."

April: "I can't believe it lived in there."

Cristina: "It managed to thrive in a hostile environment" she glances over to where Teddy and Sky are watching the surgery from the gallery "I'm gonna keep it."

April: "What? No. No, no, it has to go to path and then get destroyed."

Cristina: "It's not cancer. It's a Christmas tree."

April: "It's a pathology specimen. Protocol-"

Cristina: "Protocol doesn't account for trees in people."

April: "Protocol accounts for whatever comes up. That's why we have protocol, so there are rules and steps that we can depend on. I know the rules seem fussy and annoying and people hate them, and...the people who enforce them are fussy and annoying, too, but they are there for a reason-"

Cristina: "Fine! Take it to path."

April: "Thank you. I think you'll find-"

Cristina: "It's not gonna be you, April. I don't care how many boxes you check, you're not gonna be chief resident. 3-0 vicryl."

Nurse: "Here you go."

Derek: "Hey." he greets Mark when he comes over to where he's looking outside Zola's room

Mark: "Admit it...you saw how good this baby looked on me, so you had to go get one of your own."

Derek: "Everything's a competition with you."

Mark: "How'd her surgery go?"

Derek: "Robbins said she's fine. She's feeding again."

Mark: "Good, because Sofia can't wait to have a new friend. Isn't that right, Sofia? You and Zola are gonna be best friends. Isn't that right? And mine and Sky's baby...they'll be the three muskuteers. Just like us" he says in baby talk before seeing the look on Derek's face "Oh, you just wait. This crap will be coming out of your mouth, too."

Derek: "Well, let's hope so. We're dealing with the international adoption treaties, and the waiver we need, they just don't...usually give those things out."

Mark: "Well, you're...both surgeons, you'd make good parents. They're gonna see that."

Derek: "We'd be naive to get ahead of ourselves."

Mark: "You're Derek Shepherd. There's a reason I've been jealous of you my whole life, and it's not your hair. You're gonna be okay. Even Sofia knows that. Right, Sofia? Say hi...uncle Derek. That's Zola's daddy. Yes, he is, right? I'm gonna go feed her."

Callie: "Look who's here." she breathes when herself and Arizona come over to where Mark is waiting in the lobby with Sofia

Mark: "There you are. I fed her, I changed her diaper. Prettiest poop you ever saw."

Callie: "Oh, really?"

Arizona: "Hi, baby girl."

Callie: "Oh, I missed you. Yes, mommy got to be a surgeon again today. I got to fix two dislocated shoulders and save a leg from amputation...and a fractured...yes."

Mark: "You ready to go?" he asks coming over to where Sky is standing at the nurses desk

Sky: "Uh, give me a second" she writes something in a chart quickly "And...done. Ready." she goes to grab her bag off the floor but he quickly picks it up and carries it for her

Authors note: I swear rewatching these episodes just makes me dislike many characters that I used to like before. I don't know why
