Christmas was coming fast and I was excited. Today Ned and MJ were coming over for the first time. I promised MJ that she could meet mom and aunt Nat, and I wanted to introduce them to Wanda.
I was waiting in the penthouse for Friday to inform me of their arrival. This was going to be awesome because we could exchange gifts. For MJ, I got her a brand new leather bound sketch book and Ned was getting a couple of LEGO sets.
"Peter, your friends have arrived at security" Friday announced
I quickly ran to the elevator and went straight downstairs to the bottom floor. I walked out and I could see them waiting. Ned was practically jumping with excitement and MJ just looked like MJ.
I ran over to security and gave them both a hug.
"I need two guest passes please. Level gold. I will cancel them after they leave" I told one the the security guards
He nervously ran and started printing them immediately. Security is still on edge around me after what happened last time I asked for a pass.
"He acted like a chicken, running around nervously. I wish I could make people do that" MJ said grabbing her pass out of my hands
"No you don't. Alright let's go up to the penthouse. I can show you guys around and give you your gifts. Then I will introduce you to my family"
"I can't believe we're meeting the avengers! I think I might pass out. MJ how are you so calm!" Ned excitedly grabs his pass and we all start to head towards the elevator
"Ned, would you chill? They're just people. Besides the only ones getting excited over are Pepper Potts-Stark, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch" I already know that MJ will get along with all the women, because they are all scary and powerful women
"They will all be there. Ned, I need you to calm down and try not freaking out"
"I will try, but dude! I wonder what they are doing right now?"
We took the elevator up the penthouse and was immediately welcomed by Mom, who was standing in the kitchen. She clearly didn't notice us yet, because she was typing away on her Stark tablet. She was dressed with a clean white suit and her hair was tied up in a tight bun. She must've just come from a meeting.
"Holy shit" I need MJ whisper
"Mom my friends are here" I told her and she immediately looked up and placed the tablet back on the counter
"Hello sweetie. It's nice to meet you both in person. Welcome to our home. You're MJ right? I remember you from the field trip, and Peter told me a lot about you"
"It's an honor to meet you Mrs. Stark. I once wrote an essay about you and how you are a leader of the feminist movement"
"I would love to read that. You are allowed to come here anytime. There needs more girls like you around here, MJ. If you're ever looking a job in the future or just advice, don't hesitate to talk to me" Mom said happily before grabbing a piece of paper and writing her number on it
She handed it to MJ and I swear she looked like she just had a heart attack.
"Thank you so much"
"Of course. Now you must be Ned. I was wondering how long it would take Peter to invite you over. Peter has a few LEGO sets that are still in the box, I'm sure you two could build them sometime soon"
"Yeah" He whispered and just continued to look at her with awe
If this is how he was going to react to meeting mom, I was worried how he was going to react to meeting the others.
"Alright. Well it was great meeting you both, but I have some work to do. Peter please remind your father about his board meeting. I will see you tonight" She grabbed her tablet and pressed a kiss against my head before walking towards the elevator
When the elevator closed, I felt MJ wrap her arms around me. I wrapped my arms back around her, knowing how happy she was.
"Alright. Let's go to my room" I led them through the living room and up the stairs
I showed them a few rooms, before walking to the end of the hall where my room was.
"Nice room Stark. It screams over achieving nerd" She laughs
"I think my entire kitchens could fit in here. It's so big!" Ned says looking around
"Yeah I know. So I have gifts here for you both. I know we won't see each other until after the New Year, so I wanted to give you them now"
"Alright Ned, here are a few LEGO sets you wanted. Both Star Wars and Harry Potter themed. I thought we could build them the next time I come over"
"Dude these are sick! Thanks"
"And this is for you, I know your sketch book was getting full and ripping apart. So I got you this new one" I handed her the leather book and she ran her hands over it
"It's perfect. Thank you"
MJ then pulled out something out of her backpack.
"These are for us. I thought we needed something that only makes sense to us. It's cheesy, but shut up about it" She handed both Ned and I dogs tags
Mine read 'Loser, Stark'. I couldn't help but laugh. It was perfect.
"Mine says Nerd, Leeds. These are so cool" Ned says putting his around his neck
"Mine says Mood, Jones. You once said that to me. So I thought it was fitting"
"Thanks MJ. They're perfect" Both Ned and I have her a hug and she quickly put on her dog tag
"Alright Nerd, you're last. What do you got?" MJ asks him
"Well my uncle gave me these concert tickets. I thought we could go. It's just some unknown singer...no big deal" He handed us the tickets and I immediately jumped looking at the name
"You got Billie Eilish tickets! How in the hell did you get these?" How did he get these tickets, especially with such good seats?
"I thought these were sold out?" MJ asks him
"I know. My uncle gave them to me because my cousin didn't want them. Of course the concert is not for the next few months, but I thought we could all go"
"Of course. Ned these are amazing" I hugged him tightly
I loved Billie Eilish, we all did. Her music just spoke to me and her words had so much meaning. I can't believe we got concert tickets.
"So with all this excitement, are you two ready to meet the rest of my family?" I asked them already knowing the answer
"This is probably the best day of my life" Ned muttered
"Just remember what I said" I reminded him once again as I led them out of my room and back over to the penthouse
The elevator ride down was short and filled with Ned talking extremely quickly about how exciting it was to meet the avengers.
Once the elevator opened, we were met with an unexpected sight. Clint was pointing his arrow right at Sam's head, and Sam had one of his guns pointed at Clint. I then looked over at the kitchen to see Bucky and Steve making cookies and wearing floral aprons. And to only make things more strange, Wanda was floating in the air with Nat.
"Dude your life is crazy" MJ said clearly shocked
"I know....Um we have guests! What the hell are you guys doing?"
"Somebody played as Yoshi, and Clint is not having it. Steve and Bucky are finishing the cookies you and Wanda didn't finish, and Nat wanted to know how it feels to fly in the air" Dad explains
"Alright children, we have guests. Meaning put your weapons away boys. Wanda please let me down" Nat says as she is lowered to the ground
"Right well this is Ned and Michelle"
"Nice to meet you both, I already heard great things from both Pepper and Peter. It's nice to meet you"
"It's a pleasure Ms. Romanoff" MJ shook her hand and immediately began asking her questions
"Right, well Ned meet Steve, Bucky, Clint, Sam, and Dad. I've talked about you a lot. So they already know you" I led him over to Clint and Sam who were now sitting on the couch
One by one each shook his hand, and I swear his brain was about to explode. But he was actually being cool about all of this.
"Nice to meet you Ned. It's about time you come here, you play Mario Kart?" Sam asks him
"I get to play with the avengers!" Ned immediately sits next to Clint and takes a controller from his hands
I walk over to Wanda and grabbed her hand.
"So I heard a certain lady would like to meet me? It's about time" Wanda presses a kiss against my cheek and walks over to Nat and MJ
"I'm glad you brought them" I leaned into dads chest and he wraps his arm around me
I looked around at my friends, and they were fitting in so well. I could hear MJ asking them for advice and questions about female leadership, which was extremely important to her.
"Well I thought it was about time. They really loved their gifts. MJ got each of us these dog tags and Ned got us Billie Eilish tickets!"
"That's good kid. Now how about you finish helping Steve and Bucky. Then we can maybe all watch a movie? Are they staying for dinner?" I walked in the kitchen and started placing the baked cookies on a plate
"No. They are leaving in a couple of hours"
Christmas was in a few days, and I honestly could wait to see what happened next. Today was a great day.
