Y/N woke up to a girl that kept saying good morning, and looked at her; the ginger girl was bugging some guy with a green suit of some sorts.
"Wow, that guy's patience is god-tier,"
Y/N walked to the local showers to get ready for the Initiation, unbeknownst to him the duo was heading for the same direction.
Y/N couldn't shower peacefully, because the girl kept talking to the poor guy.
"I can't believe we've been at beacon for a full 24 hours! Not that I thought we were going to get kicked out or anything, I mean, you're the perfect student and I'm, well, I'm me!"
"I wish you were..." said Y/N as he whispered in the shower.
Finally, when he got out the duo wasn't there anymore; so he could brush his teeth in peace.
"Dude, you're jacked!" Said a Blonde kid.
"Thanks, you too? No you're not," Y/N replied, going back to brushing his teeth.
"Yeah.. but, I mean, I've been trying to get some muscle gain.. maybe you could help me?"
"I'll think about it, the name's Y/N by the way," said Y/N, after washing his mouth.
"O-oh, I'm Jaune, Jaune Arc; rolls off the tongue, ladies love it," said Jaune with no hint of shame.
"You keep telling yourself that, one day it might work," said Y/N patting Jaune on the shoulder as he walked out of the bathroom.
Y/N was only wearing his tanktop and his jeans, it seems that he had forgotten his jacket; so he went to pick it up. On the way to get his jacket, he met with Ruby, the girl with red highlights; and Yang, the girl with blonde hair; it seems that he and them had get to know each other after the candles blew out.
"Hey Y/N, what'cha up to?" Asked Yang.
"I'm just getting my jacket, you two ready for the initiation?"
"I'm super stoked! I can't wait to kill me some Grimm!" Said Ruby, innocently.
"Yeah? Well, don't get too excited now," said Y/N.
"Anyways, we were going to the locker room; you coming?"
"I'll catch you later, I just need to get my sleeping bag," said Y/N as he walked off.
Unfortunately, the previous duo had arrived at the ballroom and the Ginger was talking very annoyingly.
"But, it's crazy you know! We've been friends for soooo long; what are the odds that we'd still be together? Well, not "together" together; not that i'm not saying you're not handsome! You are handsome, but that'd just be weird, right?" Said the Ginger while the two walk off to the locker room.
"Goddamn kids.." said Y/N while tying up his sleeping bag.
Y/N slung his tied sleeping bag on his shoulder and head towards the locker room.
The locker room was almost crowded with students preparing for the Initiation.
"Nora," said the green suited boy.
"Yes, Ren?" Asked Nora.
"I don't think sloths make a lot of noise.." said Ren as he slid his guns into his sleeves.
"That's why it's perfect! No one will suspect we're working together!"
"Come on Nora, let's go," said Ren while he walks away.
"But not "together" together.." said Nora while following Ren.
"Wonder what those two were so worked up about," asked Ruby.
"Oh, who knows.. so! You seem awfully chipper this morning," said Yang while turning to face Ruby.
"Yep, no more awkward small talk or 'getting to know you' stuff," said Ruby while getting out her collapsable sniper rifle.
"Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking," said Ruby, carressing her weapon.
"Well, remember Ruby; you're not the only one going through initiation," said Yang.
"If you want to grow up, you're going to have to meet new people and work together," Yang added.
"Ugh, you sound like dad!" Said Ruby, putting her weapon back in he locker.
"Okay, first of all; what does meeting people have to do with fighting? And secondly I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!"
"But, what about when we form teams?"
"Uhm, I don't know, I-I'll just be on your team or something..." said Ruby.
"Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?" Asked Yang while scratching her long hair.
"My dearest sister Yang, are you implying you do not wish on the same team as me?!" Said Ruby while pointing her finger aggresively at Yang.
"W-What?! No! Of course I do, I just thought.. I don't know, maybe it would help you break out of your shell!"
"What the!? I don't need to break out of my shell! That's absolutely-"
"-Ridiculous, there's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday?!" Said Jaune, Y/N was accompanying him on his search for his locker.
"Maybe, you were closest to that?" Asked Y/N.
"I would've remembered having to count that high!" Said Jaune.
"Jeez, alright," said Y/N.
The two walked away and the focus was now on a certain white haired girl and the Champion of Vale.
"So, Pyrrha; have you given any thoughts to whose team you would like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well known individual; like yourself,"
Asked the White haired girl.
"Hmm, I'm not quite sure.. I was planning to let the chips fall where they may," said Pyrrha.
"Well, I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together,"
"Well, that sounds grand," said Pyrrha.
"Great! This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class and the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now: we'll be popular, we'll be celebrities, we'll get perfect grades! Nothing could come between us now!"
"You know what else is great? Me, Jaune arc; nice to meet you," said Jaune filled to the brim with confidence.
"You again?" Said Weiss.
"Nice to meet you Jaune!" Said Pyrrha.
"Yeah, yeah. So, Weiss! Couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day," said Jaune while flexing his biceps a bit.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me,"
"What the hell is this kid doing? How the hell does he think he's gonna have a girl?" Said Y/N sitting at a bench watching and waiting for Jaune. Y/N thought about smoking for a while, but he remembers that he's in a school.
Y/N couldn't help but listen to the conversation from his bench cause of his super-hearing.
"Actually Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader," said Pyrrha while putting a hand to Jaune's shoulder.
"D'oh, stop it!" Said Jaune.
"Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behaviour should not be encouraged!" Said Weiss while getting in the middle of the two.
"Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for team Jaune, spots are filling up quick. Now, I'm not supposed to do this; but, maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you, what do you say?" Said Jaune, while getting a little bit too close to Weiss.
"Alright, that's a bit too close! Pyrrha? A little help please?" Said Weiss while backing up.
When Y/N heard this, he walked away from his bench and went to catch Jaune.
"I'm sorry!" Said Pyrrha.
"You okay, Jaune?" Asked Y/N while he pulls Pyrrha's spear out of Jaune's hoodie.
"I'm okay, but my pride isn't.."
"No no, I think you caught one," said Y/N while looking at Pyrrha.
"Really? Who?"
"That's for you to find out," said Y/N while putting down Jaune.
"Why can't you just tell me?" Asked Jaune while the two of them walked.
"It's pretty obvious, Jaune," said Y/N.
"Would all first year students please report to Beacon Cliff for Initiation? Again, all first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately," as Proffesor Glynda talked over the intercom all the first year students began walking out of the locker room.
"It was nice meeting you!" Said Pyrrha as Y/N hands her spear back to her.
"Likewise," said Jaune, while sighing.
"Having some trouble there, ladykiller?" Asked Yang, Ruby following her along.
"I don't understand, my dad said all women look for is confidence.. where did I go wrong,"
"Jaune, "Snow angel" probably wasn't the best start," Said Yang.
"C'mon Jaune, let's go," said Y/N as he pats Jaune's back.
Timeskip to Beacon Cliff
"For years you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." Said Ozpin.
"Now, i'm sure many of you have heard rumours about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates.. today."
"What? Aww..." said Ruby.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well,"
"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years,"
"What?!" Ruby exclaimed.
"See? I told you," said Nora.
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest," Said Ozpin as the wind blew across the students.
"You will meet opposition along the way, do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die,"
Y/N cracked his neck as he stretches his arms and legs.
"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene," said Ozpin.
"You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff,"
"We will regard that item, as well as your standing and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"
"Yeah, uh sir-" asked Jaune before being interrupted.
"Good! Now take your positions," said Ozpin.
"Uh, sir? I've got a question," asked Jaune. As Weiss was launched, Y/N raised a brow at Jaune who wasn't in his launching position.
"So, this landing strategy thing.. uh, w-what is it? You're like dropping us off or something?"
"No, you will be falling," Ozpin replied.
"So, did you hand out parachutes for us or something?" Asked Jaune.
"No. You will be using you own landing strategy," said Ozpin.
"Uhuh, yeah," said Jaune.
As more and more students launched,
Y/N began to draw out his claws, slowly.
"So, what is a landing stra-"
"Hey, take care Jaune," as Y/N says that, Jaune was launched.
Y/N readied himself to launch but it never came.
"Hey! Wizard of Oz, why am I not launching?"
"Well.. since you are more capable than the other students, you will have to launch on your own,"
"Oh come on, and not let me join the fun?"
"Yes," Ozpin replied.
"Fuck you, Oz," was Y/N last words as he launches himself into the air.
Ozpin looked at where Y/N was standing and now stood was a crater marking his launch.
"Just how strong is he?" Asked Glynda.
"I have no idea," said Ozpin, staring at Y/N who is in the air.
Back to Y/N
As Y/N was launched, he could see all of the other students landing strategy. His most favorite has gotta be Yang's.
But Y/N's landing strategy was quite simple...
Fall.
Y/N quickly rolls himself into a ball to get more heavy and join the killings.
As Y/N landed he heals all of his bruises; and sharp rocks that had stabbed him, fell onto the ground because of his healing factor closing the wounds.
"That hurts, but it gets the job done,"
Because of his noisy ruckus, the Grimm was already running towards him.
"C'mon! Come get me!" Said Y/N, as he stood his ground and got into his fighting stance. He lunged at an Ursa and plunged his claws onto it's chest, using this momentum he landed his two feet on the ground and tossed the Ursa onto an oncoming horde of beowolves.
Unknown to him, an alpha beowolf sneaked up on him and when he turned around the Beowolf had struck it's massive claws on Y/N's body, causing Y/N to stagger backwards and his healing shocked the alpha Beowolf so much it moved backwards slowly.
"You're gonna pay for ruining my fucking clothes!" Said Y/N before he slices the Beowolf in half.
"I should get to that temple. More people there, more Grimm there will be," Y/N ran, breaking any fallen logs in half.
In the middle of running, he spotted a really noisy Nevermore and planned to kill it.
He jumped and landed on the ground before launching into the air.
Back to RWBY
Ruby had landed on the ground safely and began heading towards the northern temple.
'Gotta find Yang. gotta find Yang, gotta find Yang, gotta fiiind-'
"Yaaang!!? Yaaaaannggg!!!" Ruby kept searching for Yang and in the middle of searching she looked at other options.
'Ugh, this is bad! This is really bad! What if someone finds her first?'
'There's always Jaune? He's nice, he's funny! I don't think he's very good in a fight though..'
'And there's Y/N too! He's cool, He looks like he could beat up someone in a fight, I don't know.. I haven't seen him fight Grimm..'
'Oh! What about Blake? So mysterious, so calm, plus she likes books! Well, then again; I'm not sure if I'd be able to hold a conversation with her..'
'Ugh! okay, who else do I know in this school? There's Yang, Jaune, Y/N, Blake and...'
She stops to a halt and finds herself with Weiss Schnee.
"Wait! Where are you going?! We're supposed to be teammates.." Weiss walked away from Ruby, refusing to team up with her.
As Weiss left Ruby, Weiss finds herself facing at Jaune, who was saved from falling by Pyrrha's spear.
"By no means does this makes us friends," said Weiss while dragging Ruby her now teammate with her.
"You came back!" Said Ruby.
"Hey wait! Come back! Who's gonna get me down from here?!" Shouted Jaune.
"Jaune?" Jaune looked down to see Pyrrha.
"Do you.. have any spots left for your team?" Asked Pyrrha.
"Very funny.." said Jaune while crossing his arms and pouting.
"What's the hurry?" Asked Ruby.
"I will not let my mission be delayed because you're too slow!"
"I swear, if I get a bad grade because of your- what the?!" Weiss was interrupted by Ruby, because she used her semblance to stop Weiss.
"I'm not slow see? You don't have to worry about me!"
"When did-"
"Weiss, just because I don't know how to deal with people doesn't mean I don't know how to deal with monsters!" Said Ruby.
"You're about to see a whole different side of me today, Weiss!" Said Ruby, while getting close to Weiss and putting her arm around her.
"And after it's all over, you're gonna be like "Wow! This Ruby girl is really really cool! And I want to be her friend!"," said Ruby.
Ruby left in a flush of roses.
"You may be fast, but you still excel at wasting time!" Said Weiss. The leaves rumbled.
"Ruby?" Weiss asked again.
Suddenly, a Beowolf had emerged from the bushes and growled at Weiss.
"Ruby!!"
