I woke up out my sleep breathing hard and sweaty, remembering my moms death is not easy for me to just push aside, i blame myself for her death because Ik I could have done something to help her but instead I didn't.
"KJ" my dad called as he opened the door,I look up with tears in my eyes "same dream"he said as he sat next to me, "yeah" I said as I placed my head on his shoulder "kJ u have to know that it's not your fault that's she's gone"he said rubbing my back and takin a drink from his bottle "Ik but I could have helped her or did something" I got up saying wiping my face " girl you were 13 years old what could you have done to help her without getting hurt or even killed" he said lookin me in my eyes,
Idk what's even more hurtful watching my dad drink and get high every second of the day and act like everything is fine or seeing all the pain and suffering in your dads eyes.
"Hurry up and get ready for school your already late" he got up stumbling out my room.
I wipe my face walking to the bathroom.
I do my morning routine, I walk out and goes to my closest and get what Imma wear today.

I grab my phone, charger, and earbuds and walk out my room. I walk into the kitchen and grab a apple and head to the front door "bye dad love you" I shout out but didn't get a answer, so I walk into the living room and sees my dad sleep in the couch "you got to stop doin this mane" I said picking up the beer bottles and putting a blanket on him.
