Ryn pov
I laid on the floor as the scientist talked among themselves I could feel there eye's on me as they talked. I heard screams coming from the other room and that made me sit up.
"Take her to the table," a man said, I looked at them as a few guards came and open the cage, I let out a low growl as one of them managed to grab me form the arm and they dragged me to a table and handcuffed me to it, I struggled against the chains,
" What is your name," a man said, as he sat down in front of me
"Why should I tell you..." I growled, he wrote something down and that's when one of the guards slapped me and I snapped, as I felt my hand shift into its paw-like shape but I couldn't shift my body. I screamed as I pulled on it
"What is your name," he repeated, I looked up at him and glared
"Ryn," I said, " Classification- Wolf's Blood" he smiled when he said that
"Good," he said,
" What do you want from me" I growled, he looked surprised when I spoke in Russian
"You know how to speak Russian," he asked,
" How do you think we got here," I said, he glared at me " Your not very smart, you think you scare me,"
" We don't need to scare you, we've seen other like you they weren't that scary," he laughed,
My thought went to my old pack, I growled and stood up to his face " You should be scared of me,"
The bastard mentioned to his buddy and he hit me with something hard and I blacked out,
Lilly's Pov
I laid in my wolf form with my head on El's lap as she had the blindfold on, I could sense that she scared as she pulled on my neck fur. Everyone kept an eye on her as her nose began to bleed, she then gasped and pulled the blindfold off and I nudged her to calm her down.
"What's he doing now?" Max asked,
" He's just sitting in his room," she said, " I'm going to go get water" I stood up as she left to get a drink.
"And that's not normal, right?" Nancy asked,
"Billy staying in his room on the Fourth of July?" Max said, "No, that's not normal."
" He wants us to find him," Will said,
" Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of if we go to Billy, then the restof the flayed know where we are," Nancy explained
"It's a trap, I agree we'll be ambushed," Mike said
"We won't be surprised we'll know that they're coming,and we will kick their flayed butts," Lucas said,
" You mean El and Lilly will kick their butts," Max corrected him, I laid back down and huffed
"It's too risky," Mike stated,
"Yeah, and unnecessary killing the flayed won't stop the Mind Flayer. We have to find out where it's spreading from," Nancy said,
" We have to find the source," I said, and Nancy nodded
"Billy knows it, Billy's been there. To the source." El said as she came into the room
"Yeah, but--" Mike said, but she cut him off
"It's a trap I know we can't go to Billy, but I think there's another way. A way for me to see where he's been" El explained, I sighed and looked over at Nancy,
"I'll be back," I said, she nodded but before I could leave she grabbed my hand
" Stay safe," she said, I nodded and left. I walked around our territory and closed my eyes, and felt the wind blow.
My eyes snapped open when I heard a twig snap, I turn to see will coming over,
"You alright," he asked,
"If by alright you mean having to be alone without my pack, and having to face a sociopath than yeah I'm alright," I said in a sarcastic tone, he sat on the ground and I looked at him
" Is it normal for you to be alone most of the time?" he asked, I sat down next to him and looked ahead
" No, the first years on my life I had my brother looking out for me, he thought me how to hunt, how to fight off other predators," I said, " When I found Ryn she became like a mother figure to me since our mother passed away,"
"I'm sorry to hear that, I never knew," he said, I smiled
" It was a long time ago, but now that Ethan and Ryn are gone, I must be the one who has to be strong enough to fight and to protect you guys," I said
" You don't need to do that," he said, as he stood up and offered his hand, I took it and stood up
"I do," I said, " it is my job to protect you guys, that was Ryn's ordered us to do, and to not kill unless it is necessary " as we walked back to the cabin and walked inside,
" You want something to drink," Lucas asked, once he saw us, I nodded and followed them to the kitchen. I saw that El was once again sitting in front of the Tv and Mike came to her side
"El, I know you think you have to do this,but you don't." he said, " It's just,you've only done this before once and your mom, she loved you and wanted you to know what happened. And Billy's mind is-- is sick, diseased. The Mind Flayer is in him." I smiled knowing that he cared about her as I could feel his love from here
"He can't hurt me. Not in there," she said,
"We don't know that," he said, El turns to face him and holds his hand
"Mike, I need you to trust me," she said, Mike glances over to us and I nodded while Max raises her brow urgently
" Yeah. Just... be careful," he said, as he sat back down on Hopper's chair. Will gives me my drink and we go sit down, I sat next to him and he smiled. After a while, El starts to talk meaning she has found him
" Billy. Can you hear me? I want to see. I want to see what happened." she said, then all of a sudden she starts to breathing heavily and whimpering.
"Something is wrong," I said, I shift and walk over to her and once more lay on her lap, she then begins to scream and pulls on my fur
" Stop! No! No! No! No!" she whimpers, I stayed still and as she starts to calm down
"El, are you okay? Are you okay?" Mike asked, her
" I'm okay," she says softly, I slowly get up and laid next to her just in case.
" What's going on?" I said,
" I'm... on a beach," she said,
"Okay, I may be dense, but the last I checked, there weren't any beaches in Hawkins," Lucas said,
"What else do you see?" Max asked,
" A woman. She's...pretty. I... I think she's looking at me." she said, " There's...a boy. It's Billy." I felt Max's mood change
"It's California," she said, " It's a memory,"
"I think I see it the source," she said...
Ethan's pov
"Two minutes, Jim, It's a secure line, but any longer than that and they could trace you," Murray said,
"Yeah, I want 'em to trace me," Hopper said,
"What?" Both Murray and I said I heard the phone ring and a voice came through
"Philadelphia Public Library," A man said
"Uh...This is Jim Hopper uh... police chief, Hawkins," he said, " I got this number from Dr. Sam Owens,"
"What is your identification code?" he asked
"Identification code?" Hopper said as he looked over to us,
"You don't know it?" Joyce said
"You must be joking," I said, as I rubbed my eyes
"Oh, no, no, I got it, I got it, I got it," he said, as he pulled out his wallet
"You wrote it down and kept itin your wallet?" Murray said, while Hopper waves of Murray who taps his watch.
"Antique Chariot, listen um, tell Owens that the Russkies are opening the gate. Now, he'll know what that means. Not about the Russkies,but about the gate." he explained " Tell him that there's an entranceat Starcourt Mall. I know how to get in, but I need backup, a lot of backup. Have him call me back hereat 618-625-8313." Murray begins to wave at Hopper trying to stop him but Hopper ignores him
" Your message will be relayed," the man said, as he hung up the phone and Hopper did the same. I look over at Murray who had a shocked face
"So, now what?" Joyce asked as we followed him to the living room
"Now, we, uh...we wait," he said, as he sat down on the couch
"You compromised me, Jim. You do realize that, don't you?I'm gonna have to relocate." he stated,
"How long do we wait?" Joyce asked
"As long as it takes," Hopper said
"How can you just sit there being calm?" she asked,
"I am not calm!" he said, with a cigarette in his mouth
" Our kids are in danger!" Joyce stated
" You said they were at the festival!" Hopper shouted
"Which is, like, ten minutes from the gate!" she said, she scoffs and goes to the phone
"What are you doing? Joyce? What are you doing?" he shouts, as he follows her
" Making a call," I said, the phone began to ring and the same man picked up
"Philadelphia Public Library," he said,
"Yes, hello. Uh, this is,uh, Antique Chariot's partner...Wheelbarrow. I don't think Antique Chariot properly conveyed the urgency of our situation." she said, as Hopper paced around
" What are you doing?" he said, getting into her face
" Can't just sit around and wait for a call." she hissed back,
"Ma'am, I'm gonna need you to stay calm," the man said
"No. Don't you dare patronize me! I don't know who you are if you're some glorified secretaryor what, but if you don't wanna lose your job,here's what's gonna happen. When I hang up, you're gonna get up off your ass, and you're gonna go find Owensand tell him what's going on." she said " We don't have time to talk about itand neither does he. He's gotta get to Hawkins,and he's gotta bring his men right now! Do you understand me?" I looked at her as she shouted at him and I held in a laugh.
"Yes, yes, ma'am," he said,
"Thank you. And good day," she said, as she hanged up
"It's been exactly one minute, Joyce," Hopper said,
"That's one minute too long," she said, as she goes to wake up Alexie gently
"Alexei," she said, and he gasped
"What's going on?" he asked
"We gotta go. Vroom, vroom. Back to Hawkins. Come on. Come on." she said, as we walk outside I wait for Murray who gets on next to Alexie and I follow...
Steve's Pov
"Honestly, I don't really feel anything." I said, "Do you?"
" I mean, I... I feel fine. I feel normal." Robin said,
"Yeah, I feel-- I feel fine. I kinda feel good." I said, which caused us to chuckle
"Wanna know a secret?" she asked,
"What?" I said,
"I like it, too!" she said, and we laugh "I feel good."
"Morons. They messed up the drug," I chuckled
"They messed it up!" she laughed "Morons. Hey, morons!"
"Morons!"
"Moron! Mor--" she said
"Hey! Whoa-oh!" I shout
"Oh, no. There's definitely something wrong with us," Robin said,
"Something's wrong." I laughed, the door buzzes and in comes the Commander and the Doc. We stay quiet as they look at us and the Doc lays out a buncha tools
"Would now be a good time to tell you-that I don't like doctors?" I heard Robin said
"Let's try this again, yes?" he asked, I lick the inside of my lip and muttered, " Who do you work for?"
"Scoops." I said, and we chuckle "Scoops Ahoy,"
"How did you find us?" he asked
"Totally by accident," I said,
"More lies," he said, in Russian, the Doc picks up a tool and walks over to me
"What is that shiny little toy?" I asked
"Where you going with that, doc?" Robin said, he then grabs my hand and places the pliers on my fingernail.
" Whoa, whoa, hey, hey.Wait! No! Wait! Wait! Whoa!" I panicked
"There was a code! We heard a code!" Robin shouts,
" Code. What code?" he asked
"The week is long. The silver cat feeds when blue meets yellow in the west. Blah, blah, blah. You broadcast that stupid spy shitall over town, and we picked it up on our Cerebro, and we cracked it in a day." she said " A day! You think you're so smart, but a couple of kids who scoop ice cream for a living cracked your code in a day,and now, people know you're here. "
"Who knows we are here, little bitch?" he shouts
" Uh, well, Dustin knows," I said,
"Hey, Steve?" Robin warns
"Yeah, Dustin Henderson, he knows," I said,
"Steve!" Robin says as she pushes her head onto mine
"Dustin Henderson. It is your small, curly-haired friend?" he asked
"Oh, curly-haired. Great hair. Small.Kind of like a 'fro. Yeah." I chuckled
"Where is he?" he asked
"He's long gone, you big asshole. And he's probably calling Hopper, and Hopper's calling the US cavalry, " I laughed "They're gonna come in here,commando-style, guns a-blazin', and kick your sorry asses back to Russia. You're gonna be two pieces of toast. "
"Is that so?" he asked, as he beings to laugh
"Yeah," I said, that's when an alarm blared...
Ryn pov
My eyes snapped open to the sound of an alarm blaring and I stood up seeing the doctors running around. I sniff the air and it was Dustin and Erica, I lift my hands and begin to bang on the glass over and over. A guard comes over but by then I've broken the glass
I jump out and scream at them, they all jump back, but one the of guard tried to shot me with his gun luckily he misses, I shift and jump back run at him and use my jaws to rip into his neck, we both fall and I stand on top of him growling at the others showing my fangs covered in blood.
They all began to run outside and I followed them outside to see more people, I growl and they all move out of the way as I followed the scent of Dustin. I saw the door was open and went inside.
"Holy Shit" Robin shouted, I walked over to her and looked at the straps
"Think you can cut it," Dustin asked,
"I'll try," I said, Robin jumped back and I ignored her and bit the straps
"Get ready to run," Dustin said,
Lilly pov
It has been a while since El tried to find the source, I was in my human form standing next to Mike who just kept looking at her. I looked at him and he looked up
" What," he asked,
"Nothing," I said and smirked, that's when El spoke up
" I think I found it the source," she said,
"Where, El? Where are you? " Max asked, it take her a second
"Brimborn...Steelworks," she said, Jonathan gets up and grabs the phone book
"Here. Okay, uh, steelworks, steelworks...Uh... Here, steel uh...Found it. 6522 Cherry Oak Drive." he said,
"That's close," Nancy said
"El, El, we found it. Get out of there. Get out," he told her. I notice her emotions and heartbeat were going out of control. I heard a rustling of birds and a crow cawing.
" Something is wrong," I said, that's when El screamed as she took out her blindfold and mike held her
"El, you're okay. It's-- It's okay El." he told her, I walked over to them both and placed my hand on her cheek and tried to calm her down...
