Alex's POV
"When you where born, all the elements where working. There was a fire in the fire place, earth all around us, it was raining outside, and the air was all around us. Your mom gave birth at home, because they really couldn't go to a hospital, they were wanted all over the world. When you were born, the rain flooded through the roof, the fire expanded and burned the house, the earth started to shake, and the wind caused a tornado." Zane started.
"Wait! How do you know this?" I asked.
"I was there. I am your parents most trusted friend, and a warlock too, I'm a werewolf in disguise. And the moment you were born, I knew you were the Lifest, and the strongest werewolf, would be your mate." Zane answered.
"So that's how I became the Lifest?" I asked.
"Yes. Sadly, you never got to see Andrew or Suzy, as soon as you were born, and we knew you where the Lifest, your parents gave you to Stephanie and John, the most powerful witch and warlock. They were your protectors, and made sure no one knew you where the Lifest, not even you."
"Why not? Why couldn't I know?" I asked.
"You were too small. If you knew what you could do, then it make it more dangerous. What you don't know, can't hurt you. You didn't know you where the Lifest and your powers never came out, well sort of."
"Sort of?" I asked, warily.
"When you were particularly sad, it would rain, to match your mood, that was the only thing that happened, but we covered it up, you never knew, it happened a couple times" he answered.
"Stephanie and John were meant to protect you, but they were busy and would leave you at home, with a non-trackable shield. You wanted to leave the house, go places, as you got older, so they moved here. That's when Bella and Olivia were meant for, your protectors. They were suppose to substitute for Stephanie and John, they were suppose to be with you outside of the house. They did a really good job but you wouldn't open up to them either. You did open up and a lot more than anyone else but not all the way. We didn't get updates on how you were feeling or why, for that matter, because Stephanie and John weren't around to be able to tell, and you put and act on in front of them, so we resorted to Joshua, he acted similarly to you, we also don't know why, so we placed him to be your protector."
"Wait, Olive, Bells and Josh are my cousins but how am I related to them?" I asked.
"Bella is your uncle's daughter, from your moms side, Olivia is your aunt's daughter, from your mom side and Joshua is your aunt's son, from your dads side." Zane explained.
"Josh is your dad a werewolf too?" I asked.
"Yah, my mom and dad both. They thought they were mates but they were still aging after getting married and having me so they divorced but my dad still loved her. That's why he blamed me. Mom didn't know about what dad did, still. Mom got married to another were but they still didn't stop aging, so they divorced but mom had Sam by then, and my step dad didn't want him. He's a were too. Your other cousin." Josh explained.
"What did your dad do?" Alec asked, not knowing the story.
"Yah, I don't get it." Bells said.
"What happened?" Olive asked.
Oh! No one did! Are you kidding me?!
"Josh!! No one knows?! What is wrong with you?!" I told him, standing up.
"Please, just forget about it." he said, hanging his head.
"Ugh!! Your going to have to tell someone!! Who are you going to tell?!" I asked.
"I did! I told you! I just don't want to tell anyone else!!!" he said, looking up.
"Ok, just tell your mate." I said, giving in.
"Ok. Promise. Just no one else." he said, looking back at me.
"Fine!" I gave in, rolling my eyes.
He came up and gave me a hug. Really tightly. He literally crushed me!!
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he exclaimed.
"Can't...breath." I choked out.
He let go, and sat back down. Everyone looked at us weirdly. I ignored them, because of my agreement. I can't believe he won't tell anyone! Well, I guess I'm being a little, just a little, hypocritical. I mean I didn't tell anyone, not even him, only Alec. My past wasn't as bad as his!
"Continue please." I said, snapping everyone out of their own thoughts.
"Ok, so after Joshua was assigned as your protector, you two got close, very best friends. You still didn't open up to him, so we gave up on that. We just kept you under surveillance, whenever you went outside of the house alone. We kept an eye on you and made sure nothing weird happened. We also kept and eye on Alec and Suzanne so you wouldn't get to close to them. They came over here, though. So we tried to keep you apart but Alec being your mate, destiny found a way, for you two to meet." he finished.
"Ok. Do I have anybody else related to me? Cousins or brothers or sisters?" I ask.
"No, Bella's and Olivia's mom and dad are died, tragic accident on their way home, they got in a car accident, when they were only 5. I'm assuming you already met Joshua's parents." He said.
"Yep. I have. So that's all of them, right?" I ask, just to make sure.
"Yes, that is correct." he said.
I relaxed, a little, and Alec relaxes too, in response to me. It's the whole mate thing.
"Ok, how come Suzy and Andrew couldn't stay with mom and dad?" I asked, going to the next question, in my confused mind.
"Your parents couldn't keep them. They were always on the run, and they wanted Suzy and Andrew to have some friends and people to depend on, instead of having the world using them and their powers. They were always thinking of your well being, remember that." Zane replied.
It made it hard for me to hate them, when he said that! I wanted so hate them, for what they had done, but I knew I couldn't, because they had just been looking out for us. I put my head in my hands, and I felt the tears spring into my eyes, but I managed to push them back down. I didn't want anyone to see me crying.
"So, if me and Andrew have powers than how come Suzy doesn't?" I predicted the answer.
"Suzanne will have powers and soon too. On here 5th birthday she will be able to control earth and air. She'll be just like her brother, Andrew was also able to control fire and water at 5. You have always been able to control your powers but you didn't know until now." Zane said.
"Ok, so why are you my parents most trusted friend?" I asked.
"I'm the worlds most smartest and wisest warlock. I have been in charge of telling you all this information in case something happens. I have made sure, that (no one) tells you anything about who you really are until I say so. It was really hard, Joshua, Bella, Andrew, Suzy and Olivia all wanted to tell you, we had to restrain them. They didn't want to deceive you, and thought you had the right to know. They really did fight for you."
It's hard to hate them too! I mean they did fight but they were bound by an unbreakable force! I really can't blame them. Josh, Bells, and Olive looked at me, with apologetic faces.
"We're really sorry!" Bells said, first.
"We wanted to tell you but we couldn't!" Olive continued.
"Please forgive us! Sorry!" Josh concluded.
All three of them stood in front of me, begging and apologizing. I really can't say no. I'm such a pushover!
I opened my arms, indicating I wasn't mad. We shared a hug, it was cute because I hugged Bells and Olive, then Josh hugged all of us. We pulled apart and sat back down.
"I want to see Andrew. No thing and no one is gonna stop me. Got it?" I say or ask.
Zane sighs, in defeat. I guess he knew he couldn't stop me. Good.
"Yes, you may. He was told everything. As well as Suzy." Zane replied.
"Why do they know, but I don't?" I ask.
It was unfair! I mean my (little) brother and sister get to know but I can't?! What kind of planning is that?! Like I don't deserve to know?!
"They aren't affected by their powers. They aren't a target for world. You are. Everyone in the world would do anything to get their hands on you. If they knew, no one knows your the Lifest or daughter of Angelina and Jared Caster. Very few know and can't tell anyone." Zane explained.
Angelina and Jared Caster. My parents, the two most powerful people in the world. The two most wanted people in the world. So that makes me Alexandra Caster.
"Wait. So I'm Alexandra Caster? Not Alexandra Coles?" I asked, confused.
"Yes, we had to change your last name, so no one would know who your are." Zane explains.
"I didn't even know my whole name!!! So what, I've always lived around lies?!" I said, standing up.
"Alex, you have to understand! This is all to protect you!" Bells reasoned.
"So what, me not knowing who I am, is to protect me?! If I knew before than I would have been just fine and I would have been more careful! I could've trained so I could control my powers and so I could use them!" I yelled, not reasoning with them.
"It was your parents orders! We couldn't not do what they said! Your their child, not ours, we are being ordered by your parents to do this!" Olive says.
"Ugh!" I groan and sit back down.
I put my head in my head, as I sigh in frustration. Why did they not tell me?! I don't get it!! It would've been better if I knew, that way I could defend myself with my powers!! And I wouldn't always feel alone or different! I'd be use to this world and take on so many problems!!
"Forget that. I wanna see Andrew." I said, my head still in my hands.
They stayed silent. What now?! I thought. Haven't I dealt with enough, yet?!
"NOW! No arguments, no nothing! If you guys don't want to go, then don't, but I will." I said, standing up.
Bells, Olive and Josh got up, ready to go. Alec, obviously, wouldn't go anywhere without me. Brendan and Oscar went because of their mates.
I went straight to the parking lot, and to my car. Me, Alec, Bells, Olive and Josh got in my car. Brendan and Oscar took Bells car because we couldn't leave it there. We drove to Miami Beach, to the Howl Pack. I figured we'd drive in silence but then I remembered Josh's text.
"Josh, what emergency where you talking about on the text you gave me last night?" I asked him.
"Oh yah! I forgot, (he) escaped!!! He's not there anymore and they don't know where he is!!" Josh said.
He, was his dad and I'm guessing they would be the police. No way! His dad got out!! Oh my gosh! Not good!!
"No Way!!! You shouldn't be here then!! You should be at home, taking care of your mom and Sam!" I yelled.
"But, what about you?" he asked, worried.
"What about me?! I've got Alec, Bells, Olive, Brendan, and Oscar!! If anything happens they're here and I'll tell you afterwords!!! You need to go home!" I said, waving his worry away.
"Even if we stay home, he'll find us. I don't know what to do." Josh said.
I pulled over, to a gas station, and Brendan and Oscar pulled in with me, confused.
"Ok, change of plans. You, your mom, and Sam, are all moving into the pack house. We'll go get them, and make sure they're ok. Let's go. Alec tell Brendan and Oscar, we're changing plans." I said, turning around.
Alec told Brendan and Oscar, to follow us, as I sped to Josh's house.
"Are you sure they'll let us move in?" Josh said, worried.
"Josh! I'm Female Alpha! Alec is Alpha and if he or anybody else says no, I'll whoop their butts!!" I said.
"Ok, even I'm scared now!" Alec said, jokingly.
"You should be." I teased back.
"I'm shaking with fear already." Alec said, sarcastically.
"Ha ha ha." I retorted, also sarcastically.
"Are they home?" I asked, Josh.
"Yah, mom got off today, since it's almost break, and Sam stayed with her. I only had to go to school. She's gonna kill me for skipping." He said.
"No, you told her you were my protector, right? She and Sam know so I'll just tell them, that it was to protect me." I said.
"Ok, thanks. You do too much, sometimes." Josh said, kindly.
"Nah, I just care. For everyone." I told them.
We got to Josh's house, and we all got out. We entered their tiny, cute, little home. I'd spent a lot of hours at his house. We use to hangout, play, and baby-sit Sam together. The memories flood back. I haven't been here since Alec came. It feels like years but it's only 2 weeks, I think.
"Mom, I'm home!" Josh said.
"What? How'd you get home?" she asked, coming downstairs.
She knew about her husband escaping from jail, and so we told her we skipped and how I knew now, and what was the plan.
"I can't believe your my aunt, Carrie! You always treated me like your daughter!" I said, hugging her.
"Oh, sweetie! I'm so glad you know now! And your the Female Alpha of the Moon Pack!! Your mom and dad would be proud." She said, hugging me back.
The mention of my mom and dad being proud of me, brought tears to my eyes. I mean, would they really be proud of the girl that's a complete mess?!
"Really? You think they'd be proud of me? I'm broken, Aunt Carrie!" I told her, the tears spilling.
"Aw, honey! No, your just missing some pieces, you'll find them later!" she denied, wiping my stray tears.
"Your gonna be safe now. I won't let him hurt you, Sam or Josh. I promise." I told her.
"We'll be fine. We are in the care of a strong pack." she said, confidently.
"Did I tell you, that (he's) a rouge in the Wind Pack." Josh said.
Alec, Brendan, Oscar, Bells, and Olive all growled. I yelped in surprise.
"Woah! What's wrong with the Wind Pack?" I ask.
"Those are rouge pack. The number one strongest pack, and the ones that kidnapped Suzy, Lauren, Jay, Ty and Rebecca." Alec explained.
"Well, it doesn't surprise me that (he's) in that pack." I say, in disgust.
"Ok, we have extra dorms, we'll get you the closest dorm to Alec's, ok?" I said.
"Where's Sammy?" I ask.
"Sammy!" Carrie calls.
"Alex is here!" Josh adds.
"ALEX!!!!"
Soon a little 4 year old comes bounding down the stairs. He runs straight into my arms. I lift him up, and hug him.
"Alex! Sammy missed you!!" Sam says, or yells.
"Aw! Alex missed you too! Wanna come live with me for a while?" I tell him.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" he said, excitedly.
I balance him on my hip. He's so cute. He's got brown hair, that covers his forehead, but not his sky blue eyes. He gets them from his dad, and Josh's step dad. Josh is more like Carrie, they both have black hair, which runs in the family, and pale skin, which also runs in the family. Josh's hair is covering his eyes, a little, and Carrie has straight black hair. Josh has (his) blue eyes. They look better on Josh than (him). Carrie has chocolate brown eyes, that are warm with kindness, just like her.
"Cool! Let's go!" I said.
"Your gonna have to get our stuff, though. All of it. Your gonna be living with me, forever!" I tell him.
"Is Jo and mommy coming?" He asks, cocking his head to the side.
Jo is Josh's nickname, that and Jo Jo. Sammy, me and Carrie only call him that, no one else.
"Yah, Jo Jo, mommy, and Sammy are coming to live with me forever!" I tell him, bouncing his on hip.
"YAY!!!" he yells, in delight.
"Alright! Get you stuff." I said, putting his down.
He goes back upstairs, as Josh follows, and Carrie comes after. They all get their stuff, and things they need. It takes about half and hour. We just sit, wait, and talk.
"Bells, Olive do you know my brother?" I ask.
"Yah, we've met him. So has Josh." Bells answers.
"What's he like?" I ask.
They smile at this and I can tell, I'll love him just as much as I love Suzy, if not, then more. I can't wait to see him.
"He's just like you always use to imagine. Handsome, smart, tall, though I'm not sure if he's taller than you, and kind." Bells said, describing him.
"He looks a lot like Suzy and you, for sure. He doesn't have a mate yet. He really wants to see you. Suzy and Andrew have met, on her 4th birthday. Andrew and Suzy made a promise that on your 18th birthday, they'd visit you, because they really wanted to see you." Olive tells me.
"Really?" I ask, not believing it.
"Yep, trust me. You'll love him. He hasn't even met you and he told us that he'll love you. He looks at you from a far though." Bells said.
Just like me, I haven't met him and I know I love him.
"We fight with him every year, about if he can send you a present. Or see you, without you knowing. He really wanted to know you, he and Suzy both, but we were told not let them, sorry." Olive explains
"You know that necklace, the one that you found on your desk, when we came back, this year? Where is it?" Bells asks.
See, this year, on my birthday, we went out for fun, shopping, and I saw this necklace at a jewelry store. It was beautiful, it had an diamond A, and on the sides it had amethyst beads. It was so amazing. I wanted to get it, but I didn't, it wouldn't look good on me, Bells and Olive didn't see me looking at it, because they we talking about something important on the phone. When we came back home, to get dressed and go to lunch, it was sitting on my bedside table. I wonder who got it, I'd asked Bells and Olive, they said they didn't, but were nervous and jittery. I keep in on my neck at all time, again, no one ever notices, just like the ring. I wonder why.
I point to my neck, and it sitting right their. They look at it, shocked. Olive runs her hands over it.
"No, no charm, I think it's her tracking charm working." Olive stated.
"Huh?" I asked, wondering what she said.
"A charm, they do certain things. You have a charm that makes it impossible to track you, or whatever your touching." Olive explained.
"Yah, I think that the tracking charm is messing with whatever you wear, besides clothes, so they blend in around you, so no one notices it. That's why we didn't know it was there." Bells adds.
"Is that why no one sees the ring?" I ask, aloud, by accident.
"What ring?" Bells and Olive say together.
I held my hand right hand out, and showed them the red ring that my mom, I definitely know it's my mom now, gave me. They stare at it in amazement.
Olive runs her hand over it, and she shakes her head, in fascination.
"No, the ring, has a charm on it. Its the reason why we can't see, any accessory you wear. No wonder! Where did you get this?" Olive changes her thoughts.
"On my 16th birthday, when I ran way, mom and dad showed up. They talked to me, and mom gave me this ring." I said, stroking the ruby.
"What'd they tell you?" Bells asked.
"Just to listen to my heart and that they promise they'll come again and explain everything." I tell them.
Bells and Olive looked worried. As if something wasn't right. What now?!
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"We'll tell you later." Olive said, quickly.
"Promise?" I asked, suspicious that they wouldn't tell me.
"Promise." they both said, rolling their eyes.
"Ok! We're ready!" Carrie says, coming down with Josh and Sam behind her.
"Let's go!" I said, hoping up.
"I wanna ride with Alex!" Sammy said, instantly.
"Ok!" I said, picking him up, and bouncing him on my hip, causing his to laugh.
"Ok, so who's riding with me? Sam, and Alec, who else?" I wonder.
Bells and Olive where also going in my car. We would go back to the pack house and Brendan, Oscar, Carrie, and Sam would stay, to help unload and get them settled in. Me, Alec, Bells, Josh and Olive would go to see my brother. We went straight to the pack house, and as we got out I noticed the time. It was 12:00pm already.
"Hey, school ends in two hours! We've gotta hurry! Is anyone hungry?" I tell them.
Turns out everyone was starving, including me. So I hamburgers and French fries. We all ate and chatted, happily. We had half an hour left so we changed our plans. We'd go pick everyone up, first, then go see Andrew.
"Ok, Let's go, everyone back into the cars." I ushered everyone out.
We got back and drove to school, with 15 minutes left! We waited in the cars for everyone. When they got here Claire got in and we went texted Pen and Pam to come in, they were chattering happily. We went to go get Jay, he was waiting outside. Suzy would ride with me, always. As I got out to get Suzy, Alec got out too.
"I could've gotten her." I told.
"Yah, I know, but I wanted to talk to you." he said.
"What's up?" I asked, gangsta style.
He rolled his eyes, I laughed. We got to Suzy's class, and she came running up to me. I picked her up, happily.
"Hey! You wanna go see Andrew with me?" I asked, as we left.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" Suzy yelled, excited.
I laughed and kissed her forehead. She smiled at me and I smiled back. So cute! It's nice to see her happy.
When we get home, me and Alec go to see Carrie, and Sam. As soon as I open the door, Sam comes running to me. I pick him up, instantly.
"Alex!" he shouted, in delight.
"Sam!" I matched his tone.
He laughed as I put him, he ran, back to the kitchen and I followed. Aunt Carrie was getting out pans.
"Aunt Carrie, I'm making dinner soon! You don't need to cook, just relax." I told her, taking the pans from her hands and putting them back.
"Are you sure, sweetie?" she asks, unsure.
"Yep, positive." I said, walking out.
Alec had started a conversation with Carrie, I think they were talking about me. I dunno.
I went to Josh's room. He was sitting on his bed, his head in his hands.
