Yabang
"So final na? Wala na raw talaga?" tanong ko nang makitang binaba na ni Rafa ang telepono.
"Yup," sabi niya saka tumabi sakin sa sofa.
Kagabi lang ay ginanap ang victory party namin para sa successful overall wrap up ng movie shoot. Last last week pa naman nag-end ang taping pero kagabi lang naging libre ang lahat para sa selebrasyon. Nailabas na rin ang parehong teaser at trailer ng pelikula.
Dahil sa holy week natapat ay napag-usapan na baka hindi magkaroon ng premiere night bago ang ganap na showing nito sa makalawa. Ngayon-ngayon lang ay tumawag ang management kay Rafa para kumpirmahin ito.
Sinundot ko sa tagiliran si Rafa. "Pano yan Raf, wala kang free pass para mapanood ang movie ko." I teased her.
Pag-may premiere night kasi ay automatic na libreng nakakapanood ang casts kasama ang ilang staff pati na managers.
"Okay lang, sino bang nagsabing gusto kong panoorin yun." walang hiyang pambabara ni Rafa.
Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata.
"Wala ka talagang kwentang kaibigan," sabi ko at aktong re-wrestlingin siya.
Takot na umiwas siya,
"Joke lang may nag-aya na sakin manood," mabilis niyang sabi bago ko pa siya madaganan.
Nalaglag ang panga ko.
"Sino?" siningkitan ko siya ng mata, "Si Kalix?"
Rafaella Laurene freaking fixed her glasses. Can you believe it?! She just freakin did and looked away before getting up.
"Hoy, hoy. San ka pupunta? Hindi pa tayo tapos." habol ko sa kaniya.
Rafa sure is very blunt and direct to the point. Hindi siya mahilig magsinungaling. Kaya't kapag umiwas siya, ang ibig sabihin lang noon ay may hindi pa siya kayang sabihin.
Hanggang sa pagdating tuloy ni Colton para tumambay sa condo ko ay naiisip ko pa rin ang kaibigan.
"What are you up to for tomorrow?" he asked while we're lying next to each other.
I thought for a while. "Hmm, nothing much since we're done with the movie."
Napalayo siya saglit para tignan ang mukha ko.
"Really? When will it be showing?"
"The day after tomorrow. We won't have a premiere night so.." I just shrugged.
He paused for a while.
"Let's watch it together." biglang sabi niya.
Now it's my turn to look at him.
"Let's see it." ulit niya pa.
I arched a brow at him. "You wanna watch it together?"
He looked back at me.
"Yeah, why not? Watching a movie with the female lead by your side is like every fan boy's dream,"
I laughed at how raw he is.
"You sure?" I asked.
His forehead creased with how suspicious I was before nodding his head with conviction.
I was still slightly hesitant with his idea when the day we agreed to watch it finally came. He was attractive even just in a pair of jeans and white shirt that hugs his body well. His biceps look like they're gonna pop out of his sleeves.
I just wore something simple, afraid to catch too much attention although we're of course going to a mall which is less likely to be crowded. I paired my skiny jeans with a shirt.
"Damn, super models really rock even the simplest outfits, huh." I heard him say as soon as he saw me. Inirapan ko lang ang kumento niya sa kabila ng pag-init ng pisngi.
We picked a seat on the upper box where it is very dark and only few people are present.
Nang magsimula ang movie ay kumabog na ang dibdib ko sa halu-halong emosyon.
Sa mga solong eksena ko ay halos lumubog ako sa upuan dahil sa hiya. I've never been this shy with my performance. I'm always confident because I know I give it my all when I act. But with Colton beside me watching it, I can't help but be super consious.
"You're so cute, baby.." I heard him say this which only made it more embarrassing for me. Kainis!
He would chuckle at some parts and my cheeks would flush even more.
Nang malapit nang matapos ay hindi na ako mapakali dahil alam na kung san patungo ang eksena. Halos hindi na ko makatingin sa screen. Sabi ko na nga ba at hindi magandang ideyang panoorin ito kasama siya.
Later on, to my horror, I heard him groaning.
"Baby... you're kissing too much.." he commented while scrunching his nose.
Ramdam ko ang pag-init ng mukha. "I told you we shouldn't have-"
Halos hindi ko na rin matuloy ang sinasabi dahil sa kaba, hiya, at iba pang nararamdaman kaya't pumikit na lang nang mariin.
"Hey.. it's fine," I felt him lifting my chin.
"The kiss was enough to make me feel jealous. It means you did well since your acting was very effective..." he caress my skin.
"I'm proud of you." he flashed such a genuine smile that I forgot what I was worried about.
My heart finally calmed down.
Payapa na ang pakiramdam ko hanggang tuluyan kaming makalabas sa sinehan.
We were walking side by side while looking for somewhere to eat.
"I like your character better in your previous movie though. You were very tough and feisty there." he suddenly commented.
My lips parted. "You watched that too?"
He looked away. "I watch everything about you.." he said without throwing me a gaze.
"Really? What was the title of that movie you were talking about then?" hamon ko sa kanya. Pinagkrus ko pa ang braso.
"Chasing Tides." he confidently said.
My jaw dropped. He really did watch that one. He knows.
I forced to close my mouth and bring back my game face on.
"Drop all my character names in my previous projects," I arched a brow.
I flashed a wicked smile knowing how impossible my question sounds.
He just stared at me for awhile before talking.
"Lara Vien, Ishika Chua, Frances Gonzales, Wynea Cruz, Kianna where they didn't provide a surname for you, Krizzia Romero, Maya Dizon, Joey Filmar which is your favorite role so far according to one of your interviews, Gem Lardizibal, and Keisha Flores."
I stopped walking.
I was out of words.
He noticed that I halted so he looked back at me and lifted a brow.
"I told you, I'm a fan. Don't try me." he cockily said.
His lips even curved into a small smrik before putting his hands inside his pocket.
Napanganga ko sa likod niya nang magsimula na siyang maglakad.
