"AAA" Dandi screamed on top of his voice as he ran out.
"Dandi, stop!" Om says as he stood up and howls in pain as he felt like someone had hit his toe with a hammer.
"What happened?" Gauri asks Om in shock.
"The pain is still there." Om says gasping. "Someone stop him." Om says pointing at Dandi who had ran out as he sat back, trying to breath.
Just as Om said that, they hear Dandi howling all the more.
Curiously, Gauri and Jhanvi hurries to the door to check on him and sees Dandi standing like a statue and screaming his lungs off.
"Oh God!" Gauri murmurs realizing what had happened.
"He is standing here." Jhanvi tells Om.
"Ask him to come here." Om tells her as he tried to get up again.
"NO! DON'T SAY ANYTHING!" Gauri turns to Om to shout at him.
"What? Gauri... ask him to come here. Damn! My toe!" Om mutters as he stood up. The pain slowly diminishing.
"AAA HELP ME.. MUMMYYY" Om hears Dandi scream and then he saw him floating into the room.
"Dandi... Keep quiet... I will explain everything to you. Sshhh.." Om says in a calming tone.
"AAA"
"Shut up! I can't think like that!"
"NO!" Gauri screams at Om and at the same time, Dandi goes silent. "Don't say anything! It's your son!" then looking down at her stomach, Gauri says, "Stop taking everything he says literally!"
"What?" Om asks confused and then hits his head. "Damn!"
"Stop cursing in front of him!" Gauri snaps at Om.
"Sorry... Sorry." Om turns to Dandi and stops in shock seeing, Dandi shaking his head as he struggled to open his mouth... God, poor thing, looked scared out if his wits.
"Dandi... first you please calm down." Om tells him.
"What is happening?" Jhanvi asks utterly confused and worried, she felt faint.
"I want everyone to be CALM!" Om says.
Suddenly, Dandi's features relaxes and he calms down. Slowly a serene smile forms on his face.
Om stares at his face in shock. Dandi looked as if he had achieved nirvana. Looking around the room, everyone seemed to be at bliss except for him!
Om starts to walk towards Dandi and jumps up in pain howling.
"Please sit down, Omkara." Gauri says in a very soothing tone and Om's eyes pops out hearing her.
"Why is your toe still paining you?" Jhanvi asks as she walked to him in the tone that people used to ask HEY, is it raining?'.
"GOD! THIS IS CRAZY! Abhi... I want everyone normal!"
"AAA"
"Except for Dandi!"
Silence.
"Dandi... please calm down." Gauri tells him. "I know this is scary... I am a witch... our son is a wizard... yes, a very naughty wizard... but I want you to accept it. please... you have to help us."
Dandi nods his head.
"Omkara?" Gauri turns to Om.
Understanding what she wanted, Om says, "Abhimanyu... please let him talk."
"Can you speak?" Gauri hesitantly asks Dandi.
"Yes." Dandi croaks.
"Dandi... you have been loyal to us for all these years. Right now, I need your loyalty the most." Om requests him as he stood up and limped towards him.
"I don't know why, I am scared but I am also totally okay with it." Dandi tells him confused
"Okay with what?" Om asks confused.
"About bhabhi being a witch and baba a wizard. Totally fine." Dandi tells them confused.
Om turns to Gauri confused and Gauri points at her stomach with her eyes.
Oh Om mouths and turns to Dandi, "Thank you, so much, Dandi. Please don't tell anyone. They are my life."
In spite of all the bizarre things that happened in the past five minutes, Dandi understood, Om's helplessness and worry for his wife and child, and nods his head. "My family has food on the table because of you, your secret is safe with me."
"Thank you." Om says smiling.
Dandi smiles nervously.
Om moves towards him and hugs him, surprising everyone in the room.
"Why are you still limping?" Gauri asks him curiously.
"It's still paining." Om says shrugging.
"Did you fracture your toe?" Gauri asks curiously.
"No... he took an X-Ray." Jhanvi says and seeing Om's guilty expression, she starts frowning. "You took one right?"
Om shrugs.
"You told me you did!"
"I didn't have time, Mom."
"What could have been more important to you than your health?" Jhanvi asks him irately.
Om slightly looks at Gauri and back at Jhanvi.
Gauri bites her lower lip realizing that he had been trying to find her and that was why he had no time. God! How could he love her so much and still do such a cruel thing to her?
"The doctor told you to get one, right? Get ready, I am coming with you."
"Maybe, the baby didn't know about the fracture because nobody knew." Gauri suggests hesitantly as she started seeing images of her hand covering his toe again. "He might have assumed that the problem was lack of nail and..." Gauri shrugs. "He wants me to cover your toes again."
"You are so lucky, Gauri. You can know his thoughts." Om says smiling as he sat down and stretched his leg for her.
"Only when he wants me to." Gauri says smiling as she covered his toe.
Though, Jhanvi found all this scary, she was determined to not let all that affect her thinking or show it outwardly, as this was her bahu and her pota.
"Okay... try standing up." Gauri says as she stepped back.
Om slowly gets down the bed and put his feet on the floor. When he didn't feel any pain, he gives a little more pressure and no pain.
"It's not paining." Om tells Gauri excitedly.
"Really?" Gauri asks smiling happily. "Thank God." Gauri says excitedly as she thanked God again in her mind. "Maybe because of the fracture it was hurting you so much." Gauri tells him.
"Yes." Om says smiling as he tried tapping his leg.
Seeing there was no pain at all, Gauri smiled happily at Om in relief.
"This is so amazing, Gauri... our baby..." Om says excitedly as his eyes filled with tears.
"I know." Gauri whispers happily.
*sniff*
Om turns to his mother and sees her dabbing at her eyes. "I am so relieved." Jhanvi says as she pulled her son down and kissed his forehead then turning to Gauri she kissed her forehead too.
"Now, both of you come down."
Gauri and Om comes down after few minutes to find Rudra sitting on the couch.
"Bhabhi... heard you repaired bhai's toe!" Rudra says excitedly as he stood up.
Om rolls his eyes hearing him.
"The baby healed his toe." Gauri tells him slightly blushing.
"Bhabhi... I have never seen magic. Show me something." Rudra says excitedly.
"Rudra... I..."
"No need for that." Om says quickly not wanting Gauri to be embarrassed in front of his brother as Gauri still had issues with her magic.
"You stay out of it..." Rudra tells him. "You show me, Bhabhi."
"Stop irritating her!" Om snaps at him.
"He is not irritating me!" Gauri snaps back at him.
"Gauri... you know... you have difficulty..." Om softly whispers to her.
"I can and I will!" Gauri says pissed. She knew, she had trouble with magic and once in a while it worked but she didn't want Omkara thinking less off her. she was done hero worshiping him!
She turns to look at Rudra and sees a pen in his pocket.
Rise.
"WOW!" Rudra shouts in excitement as he started rising up in the air.
Gauri gasps in shock seeing Rudra floating in air.
Oh God! Oh God! Gauri panics and as she turned to look at Om. And Om was looking all too proud at his brother and he turns to appreciate her and sees her looking at him in panic.
Om raises his eyes at her.
Gauri gulps and turns to look at Rudra. Down.. Down.
"Okay Bhabhi... bring me down... you are awesome!" Rudra says too excited to notice the panic on his brother's and bhabhi's face.
Down.. Down.. oh God! Please help me... Down... Down... baby... please help me... please bring him down...
Rudra starts descending down and smoothly lands on his feet.
"that was awesome, Bhabhi... you are a true hero!" Rudra says excitedly as he hugged her.
"Leave my wife." Om mutters seeing Gauri was still not calm.
Rudra glares at Om and goes inside.
Om and Gauri sighs in relief.
"You alright?" Om asks her as he turned to her.
Gauri shakes her head as she moved to him and hugged him as she wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her cheek on his chest. Om quickly hugs her.
"I got so scared. I was just trying to levitate the pen in his pocket." Gauri whispers to him almost in tears.
"It's okay, Gauri... nothing happened, right? And you did bring him down."
"Baby brought him down." Gauri whispers to him, then turning to look at him, she tells him worriedly, "Maybe I should never do magic."
"Nonsense. You have done magic... maybe you need to learn to channel it properly or control it. You will not stop practicing magic." Om tells.
"You love it that I am a witch." Gauri says amazed.
"Yes. Magic is what got us together."
He was so different from her father. Her father had abandoned her mother when he found out she was a witch and Omkara has embraced the magic in their life with open arms. Then realizing she was hugging him, Gauri with a frown push him away. "Why are you hugging me?"
Om sighs as he stepped away and says "By the way. I have noticed that when you are angry with me, your magic is perfect. So whatever you are doing when you are angry with me, that is the key to get your magic right."
"Bhabhi... open your mouth." Rudra says as he came back into the room.
Curiously Gauri opens her mouth and Rudra pops a chocolate into her mouth.
"That was a gift for your awesome magic."
"A chocolate is the gift?" Om asks unimpressed.
"Wow... this is so yum... Yummy... Like heaven... so tasty." Gauri says going all awe. "I want more... more..."
Rudra and Om looks at her in shock, seeing her reaction.
"More... I want more..."
"That was the last one, Bhabhi."
"Oh no." Gauri pouts.
"Sorry... I got it from Switzerland. I can't even get you a new one." Rudra says regretfully.
"Breakfast is ready." Dandi informs them.
They sit down for breakfast, Om passes Gauri the casserole with roti while Gauri had a frown on her face.
"Everything alright?" Om asks confused.
"Your son!" Gauri mutters.
"What about him?" Om asks curiously as he put one roti on the plate.
"He has a sweet tooth." Gauri tells him as she broke the roti and put a piece in her mouth. Then sighing loudly, she looks at her stomach and whispers, "Behave!"
"What is it?" Om asks curiously.
Gauri shakes her head and turns to break another piece of roti and gasps loudly in shock. Her roti has turned into a heap of chocolates.
"What happ..." Rudra starts to ask and seeing the chocolates he stops in shock, "Wow... now, I don't have to go to Swiss to get chocolates." He leaning over the table, picks one piece and puts it in his mouth while Jhanvi smiled and Dandi gaped.
"You can't eat that, Gauri." Om tells her.
"I don't like chocolate with nuts!" Gauri says offended.
"But you were drooling earlier." Rudra says confused.
"Even I didn't understand that." Gauri says confused. "It's the baby."
"Eat breakfast, Gauri." Om tells her as he passed her his plate with roti.
Gauri breaks the roti and dipping it in curry, puts in her mouth and a second later, she says furiously, "GOD!"
"What?" Om asks confused.
"It turned into chocolate in my mouth!"
"Abhi... this is not done! You can't cheat like that." Om says upset.
Suddenly, Gauri's face changes. Her lips pull down and her eyes fill with tears.
"Stop it, Om. If he wants to eat chocolates, then let him." Jhanvi says upset seeing that the baby was upset.
Om turns to his mother in shock, "Mom!"
"He is feeling sad." Jhanvi says upset.
Shaking his head, Om turns to Gauri and says, "baby... listen... first you eat your breakfast then you can have chocolates. Not before that. You and Mama, both of you need to have proper food. Please understand."
Gauri's face changes and she gets back to normal. Om breaks a piece of roti and offers her. Gauri opens her mouth and Om feeds her. Om curiously looks at her while she started chewing. Gauri shakes her head at Om saying it was fine now and he smiles satisfied.
"I am so jealous. I wish I knew magic." Rudra says amazed.
"You can eat that chocolate." Om tells him. "Just don't spoil my son with such unhealthy food."
"He and I are going to have chocolate parties!" Rudra predicts excitedly and a second later, his plate also fills with chocolates. "See what I mean." Rudra smirks at Om.
Gauri was sitting in their bedroom as she thought about their son. He was going to be very naughty.
"Gauri... here." Om says as he walked in with chocolate. "I told him he can eat chocolates, so here."
Gauri's face breaks out into a smile as she took it from him and started eating it.
"He is..." Om says with a smile.
"I know." Gauri says smiling excitedly."He listens to me also. He helped me with Rudra." Gauri tells Om happily.
"That's awesome." Om says happily smiling."You seem very happy today." Om says hesitantly as he sat next to her.
"I don't know why." Gauri says shrugging.
"You didn't fight with me much today."
"Didn't feel like fighting." Gauri says. "Maybe I was distracted with things."
Om nods.
"I am glad my toe is fine now."
Gauri looks down at his toe and it was perfect now. "I am sorry for what I did."
"It's nothing compared to what I did." Om tells her regretfully.
"I know... but still I am sorry."
"I forgive you then." Om says to ease her guilt.
"I won't forgive you." Gauri tells him.
"I know... I don't deserve forgiveness... I was cruel and there is no excuse for what I did."
What was she to say when he said all that... if he wasn't so guilty or regretful then she might have felt some peace, but now, she was feeling like a stubborn, cruel kid for ignoring his pleas.
"I can't forget what you did."
"I wish I could erase what happened." Om says wistfully.
Gauri gives him an exasperated look and asks, "SO one day I wake up and find out that I am pregnant and no idea how I got pregnant."
"No... no... I meant, instead have a beautiful love story for us."
Gauri snorts.
"Seriously, Gauri... seeing all that Abhimanyu is doing..."
God! Can he stop calling their son Abhimanyu? She hated that name!
"I was tempted to ask him to rewrite our past if he can." Om hesitantly tells her.
Gauri looks at him in outraged shock.
"But it isn't right, right?" Om asks her wistfully.
"How would you write our story?" Gauri asks him curiously.
"Hmmm first and foremost, when mom tells me about Ria, I would talk to Rudra and make him understand that she is not genuine. Then we would meet somewhere."
"Where?"
"Hmmm... a mall?" Om asks her, because that was the only place both of them would frequent.
"Hmmm."
"Just like how we met, when we see each other, we would fall in love." Om tells her smiling dreamily.
"Then?"
"Then, we will start dating..."
"How will you find out that I am a witch?" Gauri asks curiously.
"Hmmm... you will save my life."
"WHAT?" Gauri asks shocked.
"Something... maybe a fan... or chandelier is going to fall on me and you with your magic will stop it." Om tells her excitedly.
"Me your hero?" Gauri asks chuckling.
"You are always my hero, Gauri." Om tells her.
"Then?" Gauri asks as she looked away uncomfortable with him hero worshiping her.
"Then you would tell me that you are a witch. And I will tell you that I love you."
"And let me guess, we will sleep together."
"No... we will do it properly... we will get married and then we make love... and then Abhimanyu." Om says smiling.
"I wish, Omkara... but the truth is you betrayed me." Gauri tells him sadly.
"I am sorry, Gauri."
"Isn't that the problem, Omkara? I know how sorry you are and how you desperately want to right it, still I don't want to forgive you." Gauri tells him helplessly.
Om nods hearing her, then remembering he says, "I wanted to talk to you about something else too."
"What?" Gauri asks curiously as she popped another piece of chocolate in her mouth.
"You know, how Abhimanyu is doing magic... Dandi found out... not everybody is going to be Dandi."
"I know."
"I was thinking, maybe we should move to another place."
"Another place?"
"Yes, a little away from town... with no neighbors, just you, me, our kids and maybe Dandi."
"I had a very lonely childhood because I had no friends." Gauri tells him.
"We will be their friends and they would have each other too." Om tells her.
Gauri didn't argue about the they' part, if it was in their destiny that they would have two kids then there was nothing she could do about it.
"Like a farm house or somewhere." Om tells her.
Gauri wasn't convinced with his idea.
"A place where they wouldn't have to hide their magic. Where we won't be living in fear that someone would find out about our family."
Hearing that, she knew he was right. More than anything, a place where their son could practice his magic without any restriction or fear sounded like heaven.
"I feel that would be perfect." Gauri tells him smiling.
At night, Om was walking towards their room after dinner, Gauri was practically running in front of him making him all curious. The moment she reached the room, she turns and spreads out the hand stopping him.
"You are not coming in." Gauri declares.
"Gauri..." Om starts, God after all the progress they made today, some things are still the same.
"Nah... you come in then you are not leaving. Go sleep somewhere else."
"What if you need me at night?"
"I will call you." Gauri says and quickly gets in and locks the door.
Gauri sighs in relief. "Phew"
*Poof* Om appear in front of her.
"What?" Om asks loudly as he looked around in shock. "How did I...?"
"YOUR SON!"
"I didn't tell him anything, Gauri."
"I know." Gauri says pissed. She starts to walk towards the washroomwhen she stops in shock gasping.
'What happened?" Om asks Gauri worriedly seeing her face going all white.
Gauri quickly grabs Om's hand as she cowered in fear.
"Gauri...?" Om asks worriedly.
"Behind you." Gauri whispers almost in tears.
Om turns back to find a stranger, about fifty years with curly hair and crueleyes.
"WHAT THE? WHO ARE YOU? HOW DID YOU ENTER..." Om stops his questionrealizing that someone who knows magic only could enter a locked room. Hepushes Gauri quickly behind him.
"Kaali." Gauri whispers to him as she hid behind Om as a handprotectively went to cover their baby.
"You come near my wife or son, I will kill you." Om warns him.
Kaali smiles at Om as he titled his head to the side and looks him head to toe.Then he menacingly smiles at Om and Om gets thrown to the side.
"OMKARA!" Gauri shouts in fear as she started to run towards him andstops in relief seeing him land safely on his feet.
"Was that you or your son? The one who is going to be the end of me?"Kaali asks Gauri mockingly.
"Our son." Gauri replies furiously. "You touch my husband, thenI will be the end of you." Then she furiously stares at him and he getsthrown to the door, but he hits the door and just then he levitates in the airlaughing, and lands on his feet. "Your magic isn't enough to even scratchme."
"Gauri..." Om says as he ran towards her and hugged her.
God! How was he going to protect them? Even Gauri's magic wasn't enough tostop him, then how was he going to save them?
"Enough of dilly-dallying." Kaali says as he stares at Gauri.Om quickly stands in front of Gauri to stop him. Kaali rolls his eyes,"Don't have to be a matryer, I am killing you both... correction, youthree."
Om furiously roars and starts to run towards Kaali and Kaali waves his hand andOm goes flying again but he once again lands on his feet unharmed before Gauricould even gasps.
Kaali starts staring at Gauri frowning realizing his magic was not touching themother. He turns to the father, and decides to kill him first as he was ahindrance. Then, nothing, his magic wasn't penetrating him. there was a shieldaround them. Seeing the father charging at him again, furious, he disappearsand appears right next to the mother.
Gauri shrieks in shock seeing Kaali next to her. Kaali holds her hand.
"Don't touch her." Om says furiously as he starts to run towards themand stop in shock as they disappeared right in front of him.
