MERIELLE'S POV
"How was that story that you had been working on, Merielle? That story about witches and wizards?" Deanne asked.
I sighed. "I deleted that. It just doesn't feel right."
"Why not try scary stories?" Jate suggested.
"I don't think that is my type either," I answered.
"You write a story and leave it and delete it," Deanne said with a sigh. "You won't become a famous writer with that attitude, you know?"
"I just have to look harder. Find the right story. Find more inspiration," I said.
"Well, I have to go to the mall today. I heard a clothes shop there is on sale today," Deanne said.
"I'll come with you to the mall. I have to check the bookstore if the next book of "The Dark University" is already out," Jate said.
"Mhhh... I'll go to the school library today. Catch you guys later," I said and went to the library. School is over already so, I guess it is fine.
As soon as I went inside the library, I started going through the spines of the books, looking for inspiration or a topic for a new story.
"For a new story?" a boy asked from behind me.
"D'AAHH!" I shouted because of shock. Then I covered my mouth and ran to the other side of the library. I heard him chuckle and ran after me.
I hid behind some tall bookshelves and looked around to see Amadio.
"Don't scare me like that," I said.
"I wasn't intending to, sorry," Amadio apologized.
"Why are you here, anyway?" I asked.
"To help you remember what happened to you in the past," Amadio said in a serious tone.
I stared at him for a moment then asked in total disbelief, "Wha- how... why?"
"Because my master told me so," he simply answered.
"Who is your master?" I asked. This sounds super fishy.
"I will tell you soon," he said. "Right now, you need to dig through the attic of your house."
"What am I going to look for in there, exactly?" I asked in a skeptical tone.
"You'll know," Amadio answered. "Right now, I want to go already and continue drawing."
"What are you drawing?" I asked.
He took off his bag and pulled out a piece of paper and showed it to me. It is a drawn picture of a flower that looks like a rose.
"That's a beautiful rose," I complimented.
"Looks like a rose, but it isn't a rose," Amadio said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Devil's flower," he said. Then he looked away from me and looked at the spines of the books on the bookshelf next to us. "These are interesting books. Back then, you don't need those to know who those characters are."
I looked at him with full of curiosity and looked at the books. I stared at the books with wide eyes. How could I know these before?
"Remember, don't tell anyone I am helping you," I heard Amadio said. I looked to where he is supposed to be and he is gone. I looked back to the bookshelf.
The books there are about demons and evil creatures. How can books like these be in a school library?
But there is one thing that clearly got my attention. It is a tattered notebook, it's covers made of black leather. The pages are thin and old. I slid it inside my backpack and quickly went out of the library. My driver was waiting outside the school with the car and I told him to drive back home quickly.
While inside the car, I flipped through some of the pages inside the notebook. They look like notes and pieces of information about some particular demons. I flipped through more pages and saw a picture.
The picture looks very familiar to me and I felt like I had been there before. I suddenly feel my head starting to hurt. I flipped the picture around and saw one word that clearly says what the place is called.
RAD
I flipped the picture again and saw that there actually is something written at the front of the picture. It looks like it was said by someone named Diavolo.
"This is the Royal Academy of Diavolo," I read.
I felt my head hurt even more. I also heard voices... they are calling me... but who are they? I closed my eyes and tries to drown them out.
