Hiding a relationship was a lot harder than it seemed. Especially when it's with James. It had only been two weeks.
I really like him and he's so affectionate. I'm surprised no one has noticed something is going on.
He is constantly trying to be close to me. In the classes we sit together his hand is always on my knee or he is occasionally bumping his arm against mine.
It's really cute and I love it, but I'm scared someone notices and tells my parents. I'd rather tell them myself because they can't cause a scene while I'm at school and draw attention.
I would never do anything to put James or his friends in danger. I'm so grateful that he's a caring and understanding person. It's one of the reasons I like him so much.
In the common room is where we can be ourselves. We don't have to worry about anyone walking in and seeing us. We can be normal.
I was cuddled up next to James as I read a book about potions. James was doing his homework, only really because I made him do it.
The sound of a quill roughly hitting the table drew my attention away from my book and towards James. He leaned back and I adjusted my position so that I was laying with my head in his lap.
I placed my book down on my chest and looked up at him. "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." He sighed. "I just don't see why I have to do Transfiguration when I could be doing something else." He smirked suggestively and winked.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes but I couldn't help the small smile that pushed it's way onto my face.
"How about..." I pretended to think really hard, "no." I finished with a laugh.
"You're no fun Liv." He said but smiled anyway. His hand moved to my hair and he began to play with it. I sighed and closed my eyes.
A few seconds later I felt James leaning down and then his lips were on my own. I smiled into the kiss.
He pulled away and looked at me. I smiled at him and pulled him back down for another kiss.
We heard a gasp and immediately sat up. We looked towards the door and saw Sirius, along with Remus and Peter.
"No way." Sirius practically screamed. Remus stood there with a smirk on his face as if he had known all along. Knowing him, he probably did.
"Prongs, Little Malfoy. You've got some explaining to do." Sirius commanded as he jumped on to one of the couches in the common room.
"Little Malfoy?" I exclaimed. "I'll have you know I'm a minute older than Lucius."
They laughed. "Well you're still shorter than Malfoy." Sirius smirked.
"Such a shame then Little Black." I smirked. Sirius has always been taller than Regulus but this past year, Regulus quickly surpassed him in height.
"Hey! I'm older than Reg." Sirius shouted.
"Older but shorter. Welcome to the club." I smirked happily at his defeat. He slouched further into the chair he sat on and grumbled under his breath.
"Okay enough of trying to change the subject Alivia." Remus spoke up, "how long?"
"Two weeks." James muttered out.
"Two weeks?!" They all screamed.
James and I nodded. James sighed before explaining, "You all know how the Malfoys are. Alivia doesn't want word to get out to them because they'll cause a scene."
I smiled gratefully at James before continuing, "I would rather tell them privately so that it doesn't put a bounty over all of your heads." I fidgeted with my hands and looked down.
"We understand Alivia." Remus spoke softly and pulled me into a hug. The others quickly joined, although once Sirius had joined he tackled us all to the floor. We sat there laughing for ages.
While they joked I was drawn into my thoughts. Now that the Marauders knew I should tell Narcissa. She is my best friend and I have been neglecting her lately and keeping far too many secrets.
My friends have always been there for me and I may have found new ones and a well needed escape, I will never forget my friends or leave them behind.
Narcissa, my best friend and sister by heart. Lucius, my overprotective caring brother. Regulus, the one I cared for like a little brother. Severus a good friend.
They have been there for me through it all and I need to start being a better friend for them as well.
I stood up and the Marauders looked at me.
"I'm going to speak to Narcissa. I'll see you all later." I smiled and waved goodbye. I left before they could protest anything and nearly ran to the Slytherin Common Room.
I said the password and the door opened and I found Narcissa in her usual spot by the fireplace with Lucius, Severus, and Regulus. They were the only ones in the common room.
"Narcissa." I called. She looked up and I waved her over.
"Yes?" She asked when she made it over.
"I realised that I have not been very honest with you this year. I've been keeping this from you and I really shouldn't have. I'm so sorry." I apologised.
Narcissa smiled and pulled my into a hug. "Oh Liv, don't worry. It's okay. I understand how stressed you've been this year and it's okay." She whispered reassurances and rubbed my back comfortingly. Narcissa truly is the best.
"Thank you." I mumbled and pulled away. "I'm dating someone."
She gasped. "Who?" She nearly squealed but stopped herself when she remembered the boys were still in the common room.
"James Potter." I whispered out.
"No way! Liv!" She jumped up and down and pulled me into another hug. I smiled, I was so happy she approved.
However, 3 certain boys did not.
"You're dating James Potter!" Lucius exclaimed.
"Shit." I whispered.
"How can you possible date that prick?" Severus spoke. Severus may have teased me about liking James but that did not mean he approved.
"Boys, shhh." I hushed them. I looked around to make sure we were the only ones in the common room. "Yes I'm dating James Potter. But please don't tell anyone." I pleaded with my eyes.
Regulus sighed but nodded. Severus grumbled something and they both sat down. Lucius just stared at me.
"Lucius."
"Come with me." He said before walking to his dorm room. I followed him down the stairs and to the door. He opened it to reveal, four other Slytherin boys.
"Out." He said and they all rushed out quickly.
He gestured for me to go in and slammed the door behind us.
"What are you thinking? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" He exclaimed.
I swallowed and cleared my throat before speaking. "Lucius, I really care about him. He makes me happy."
"Well he can't do that when the both of you are dead!"
"Lucius!" I finally shouted. His eyes softened and he calmed down slightly but I could tell he was still angry. "Lucius, I want to tell Mother and Father but only during Summer. They can't do much and they can't cause a scene. I know they'll hate it I know they care enough not to do anything that would cause my death."
"Then you can't fight in the war." Lucius states.
"I need to fight this war Lucius. I need to help right the wrongs."
"You'll get killed anyway. I can't lose you Alivia." His voice cracked as tears fell from his icy blue eyes.
Seeing the tears fall from my brothers eyes caused more to fall from mine. "Lucius. I will be fine. Don't worry about me." My voice cracked as I tried to push out the sentence.
"How can I not? You're my little sister Livy." He cried. He pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around his torso and cried into his chest.
Once most of the tears had dried up I mumbled, "I'm still older than you."
Lucius laughed which caused me to laugh. I clutched him tighter and tried to bury myself further into his arms.
Whatever happens, I was going to fight in this war.
But I was also not going to die.
I had to live. For Lucius. My brother.
The one person who has been there for me my entire life.

Another chapter done and dusted. Well not so much dusted because it's riddled with mistakes and errors. But it's a chapter nonetheless.
