"Who's your buddy?" I ask Roy.
"Buddies." He corrects.
"What?"
"Buddies. I have two freshmen buddies."
So there's this thing at our school where the rising seniors are paired up with the incoming freshmen at our school during the summer so they have a familiar face to go to or something like that. I think it's cool honestly, although I didn't really talk to my senior buddy when I was a freshman. We also got a new principal too who we will be meeting today, but first, we all have to find our buddies and settle down. We are gathered in the cafeteria because they are serving pizza here too and we're having a little game night.
"Well who do you have?" I ask him.
"Peter Parker and Ned Leeds." He answers me as he looks at the list in front of us on the wall. "And it looks like you have a Michelle."
"Well let's go find these freshmen then."
It shouldn't be hard considering everyone has name tags on their shirts. We take our time and walk around because I don't want to startle anyone by running past them.
"Why do I have two freshmen buddies of all people," Roy whines as we try to find these guys.
"I'm just glad I don't." I snicker at him. "And technically they're our buddies."
"True." Roy agrees and gives me a fist pump.
We continue looking around and eventually I spot the two boys talking to each other.
"Peter! Ned!" I call out to them.
They look at us as we walk up to them.
"Hey," Roy says to them and they say their greetings. "I'm Roy Jones, your senior buddy and this is my best friend—"
"(Y/n) Rogers!" The chubby kid geeks out. I smile at him. His name tag reads Ned Leeds so the really scrawny kid next to him must be Peter.
"Alright two down, one to go. Now we just need to find Michelle." I say as I look around.
"Oh you're looking for MJ?" Peter speaks up.
"MJ?" I question.
"That's what she likes to be called. I can help you find her." Peter offers.
I nod. "Lead the way, Parker."
Peter and Ned lead Roy and I to MJ.
"What's up losers?" She asks as she sees the four of us approach her.
I smile. "I like her already."
"Hey Penis Parker!" A boy walks up behind Peter and plucks the back of his head. He looks up at me. "And hello beautiful."
I roll my eyes. "And I already hate him," I mutter.
"What do you want Flash?" MJ asks in an annoyed tone.
"Can I get a picture with you?" The kid, Flash, asks me.
Before I could answer he whips his phone out and snaps a photo of us. He then pulls Roy into the picture and takes a picture of the three of us. Roy and I just give each other looks.
"Come on Flash leave them be." Ned defends us.
"It's fine," I say slowly. "Let's go guys," I say to them.
"But I got questions!" Flash calls back as we all hurriedly walk away from him.
Roy, MJ, Ned, Peter and I find seats and sit in that order.
"Penis Parker?" I ask, turning to Peter.
"We all knew each other since middle school, that's what he's been calling me for years," Peter mumbles, not making eye contact with me.
"I can handle him if you want me to," I say, ready to get up.
"No! No, it's fine." Peter says quickly. "I can handle him."
"By handle do you mean let him push you around?" MJ speaks up from the end of the table.
"Damn she called you out." Roy snickers.
"Can we talk about the fact that we got two Avengers as our senior buddies." Ned geeks out. He looks between MJ and Peter with a huge smile on his face.
"So?" MJ shrugs.
I laugh. "I'm liking you more and more." She gives me a small smirk.
"So why did you guys choose Midtown High School?" Roy asks to make conversation.
"Because we went to middle school here," MJ answers plainly. Ned and Peter nod in agreement.
I get up, but before I can walk away Roy speaks up.
"Where are you going?" He asks me.
"Bathroom," I answer.
Ned looks back at me excitedly. "How fast can you use the bathroom?" He asks me. All of us give him a look.
"Dude," Peter says to him.
"What?"
I smile. "That's a question I will not be answering." I laugh and make my way to the bathroom.
I take my time and come back out about two minutes later. I make my way over to the table we were sitting at and I see Bethany all over Roy who is trying to get her away from him. She's trying to lean her head on his shoulder and get all touchy with him. MJ, Peter, and Ned are just watching awkwardly.
"What the hell?" I say as I approach them.
"Help me," Roy says desperately as he looks at me.
"Bethany get off of him. You see he doesn't want you touching him." I say.
She rolls her eyes as she gets up and comes directly in my face.

"Are we gonna have a problem?" She spits in my face.
"You got a bone to pick?" I spit back at her.
"You've come so far, why now are you pulling on my dick?" Bethany shoves me.
"I'd normally slap your face off,

Buying stuff they cannot," Bethany stands up on the table in front of Roy.

Killer clothes," I start, but Bethany cuts me off.

"Freak?!" I yell offensively.
"You don't know what you're talking about." Roy retorts to her.

She would leave you to rot," Bethany continues.
"Yeah right." Roy scoffs and sends her a glare. I just stare at her in shock, not saying anything.
"'Course if you don't care"
"I don't," Roy says.
"Fine! Go braid her hair

Woah! Woah! Woah!" She grabs him by his shirt, pulling him close to her which snaps me out of my state of shock.
"Honey, whatchu waitin' for?
Welcome to my candy store," I sing as I shove Bethany away from Roy and she almost falls off the table.
"You just gotta prove
You're not a pussy anymore
Then step into my candy store," We both sing as we face each other again.
"You can join the team." Bethany coos at me.
"Or you can bitch and moan." I retort back.

And end up like him!" Bethany and I both sing. I point to Flash, who I spot from on top of the table while Bethany points to Peter.
Both boys look surprised to be involved in the fight.
"Hey, what did I do?!" Peter asks, sounding offended.
"Honey, whatchu waitin' fo-"
"Shut up Bethany!" Roy yells, cutting her off as he stands up.
"Alright enough you two!" The new principal says to us as he makes his way over to the table.
I hop off the table and take my spot next to Peter once again. Bethany hops off the table and walks away, but not before giving me a glare. Roy sits back down and the new principal walks away.
"People are stupid," I mutter, mostly to myself.
"Uh, some people," Peter says as he looks at me.
"All people are stupid." Roy and Peter give me a look. "Most people." I correct.
Just then the new principal comes on the microphone. "Settle down students." He says as we all quiet down so we can listen. "Thank you. My name is Jim Morita, the new principal of Midtown High School. I would like to welcome the incoming freshmen to our school and welcome back the class of 2016." Principal Morita says and we all applaud. After that I stopped listening honestly. I just wanted some food.
My prayers have been answered when boxes of pizza were placed right in front of us. Every table got like two boxes of pizza, but mine has about ten. I leave those guys two boxes while I take the other eight and start digging in.
"Where did you get eight boxes of pizza from?" Ned asks me as he looks at me eating the pizza like there's no tomorrow.
"Stark's credit card," I answer with a smirk.
"How can you eat so much?" Peter asks.
"Fast metabolism," MJ answers before I could. We all look at her. "What? I know things." She shrugs.
I smile at her and we all continue to eat our food. We have our game night after that and play some board games and talk. Eventually it was time to leave and we all said our goodbyes. Honestly I like our little group of freshmen that Roy and I have, they're kinda growing on me. Especially that Peter kid. I feel like he's something special and that I'll be seeing him a lot lately.
This is also another one of my favorite heather songs. Did anyone else read "Jim Morita" as "Jim Moriarty"? I had to reread this a few times to make sure I got it right. 😂
