Ch.7 New Friends
Kongpob's P.O.V.
My day started off just like any other day. I got up when my alarm went off, got ready, went downstairs to have breakfast with my P's and then P'Tin drove me to Uni since P'Pha had left before I finished eating.
I walked towards my first class when I felt that someone or more than one person was staring at me. At first, I brushed it off as I'm new and they just wanted to take a look. Then as I felt the stares follow me from one class to another, I started to get worried.
My day had passed fairly quickly with that constant feeling of being followed. I decided after I was having a quick break before my last class, that I would call P'Tin.
"P'Tin."
"Yes."
"I don't want to alarm you but I feel slightly scared."
"What?!!!"
"I have this feeling of being followed since I got to Uni this morning."
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the Economics' canteen."
"I'll be there in three minutes. Don't move." P'Tin growled the last part out before he hung up.
I stayed where I was and decided to glance around trying to see if I could find the person(s) who was following me.
Just as I thought I saw them, P'Tin blocked my view and gently dragged me to his car. He buckled me in 'P'Tin!!!! I'm not a little kid' I thought in my mind as he drove off.
"P'Tin, where are we going? I still have one last class for the day in 10 minutes."
"You're skipping that class until I can arrange a detail on you."
"Detail? What do you mean?"
"Bodyguards, protection, friendly tough buddies. Whatever you want to call it. I am not going to let anything happen to you. When P'Pha gets home, we will talk more about how to go about this." P'Tin said with his authoritative voice.
I knew he meant every word he said and that he would notify P'Pha. I unknowingly started pout on the drive home. I know that they love me a lot and don't want anything to happen, but we already made sure that Pa can't get to me.
*30 minutes later*
We arrived home and I sat on the couch as P'Tin called P'Pha and explained the situation. I was told that P'Pha would be home in a few minutes so they could decide which company and/or program to go with for my protection.
I hated the feeling of being weak and needing someone to protect me but I know that it majorly has to do with what my Pa did to me. I do occasionally have nightmares of all the abuse I suffered as a child. I wake up screaming/crying because the feeling is so real 'I know it is real.', but Pa isn't here. I don't understand why I keep feeling like he is here right now still hurting me.
*PRAKKK*
The front door slammed open and close as P'Pha raced into the living room and gave me a big hug.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm okay P'Pha."
"Did you see anyone suspicious?"
"No, I wasn't able to look. I thought I did see something but P'Tin arrived and it was gone."
"Any details can help."
"I know P'Pha."
"Do you want protection?"
"I don't want to be known as the guy who needs protection."
"I know Kong but as your P's we worry about you."
"I know P'Pha and P'Tin love me and cherish me with all your hearts."
"We do. Now, if I can find something that allows for the bodyguards to pretend to be Uni students, would you allow that?"
I sat there for a few minutes contemplating that option. I know it is the better option but I still don't like having to be protected.
"If you can find something like that, then I might agree."
"Perfect," P'Pha said as he pulled out his phone and started calling around.
I turned and saw that P'Tin wasn't happy but he knew that this option would make me the happiest out of the options given.
P'Tin walked over and gave me a light hug before telling me that he needed to work on a project. I nodded my head and said I had homework to do and would be in my study.
P'Tin smiled at me before walking off to his study.
*The Next Day*
I arrived at Uni a little earlier than usual because P'Tin had to meet up with one of his classmates. I decided to head to the canteen and hang out there while I wait for my first class to start. I was daydreaming and started smiling like an idiot when I heard two people make that coughing noise.
I turned around and saw P'Can and what was the other one's name. I waii at them as I try and remember the brunette's name.
'Shit. Come on Kong you should remember it.'
"Sawadee Nong Kong." -P'Can
"Sawadee Kong." -another boy
"Sawadee P'Can and sawadee........sorry I forgot your name," I said feeling disappointed with myself for not remembering. Then I smacked myself mentally and thought.
'I just met them, it can't be expected that I remember who they are when I only talked with them for a few minutes.'
"I'm Wayo." -Wayo
"Sorry. I'm not good with names if I haven't talked with that person more than 5 times."
"It's okay. We didn't have a very good start. So let's try this again. My name is Wayo or Yo. I'm a first-year Science Medical student." -Wayo
"My name is Can. I am a second-year Sports Science student and one of Wayo's P's." -P'Can
"My name is Kongpob, first-year Economics student and younger brother to Phana third-year Medical student and Tin second-year IC student (sorry, I can't remember what Tin's faculty is)."
"Nice to meet you. I know we didn't get along yesterday, but we were wondering if we could be friends. It's nice to have people to hang out with and we could help if you have any questions." P'Can and Wayo said as they sat down at my table.
I nodded my head in glee as I just got my first friends ever. I was so excited that I texted P'Pha and P'Tin the great news. And of course, their response wasn't the best.
"No. I don't want you to be friends with strangers. I will have a full background check done on them." -P'Tin
"Kong. I know that you haven't been able to make friends because of everything, but I know that these two gave you trouble last time. Are you sure?"
I let out a loud sigh as I responded back that I am okay and to cancel the background checks.
"Kong? Earth to Kong?" -P'Can and Wayo
"Sorry, I was just letting my brothers know that I finally made friends and they are overprotective when it comes to me. Sorry."
"Nah don't worry. We have a protective P' as well and we know to never get on his bad side." -Wayo
I smiled at the knowledge that someone else understands that feeling.
"So......we know that you have classes until 3 pm. We were wondering if you wanted to hang out afterward, to grow our friendship?" -Wayo asked.
I nodded my head and said good-bye to them as I left for my first class. Unbeknownst to me, there was someone watching our interactions from afar and he wasn't happy at all.
So sorry that I am late to update. As you all know, COVID-19 has hit and things have been chaotic. Well, I work in a grocery store and things have been so stressful. I have been closing the store and just getting so stressed out that I haven't been in the mood to write. I will try to write more often, and aim for an every two-week update since my work will be the last thing to shut down. Please stay safe, healthy.
