I knew I fell for a crazy girl when she took off her shirt "well I enjoyed the show" lilia patted me on the shoulder "I think everyone did"I scoffed "she should hangout with us" they said "you literally hated her yesterday" I reminded them "well she didn't make the best impression" Emily said "I can ask but she kinda hates Nadia" I said and they just shrugged as we walked out of class. We were walking down the hall talking and people were giving me weird looks but I just ignored them. When we bust through the doors I see Mackenzie talking to the women who looks exactly like her except she's blonde.
"To all the kids with the mental hospital. Your parents are here to collect you for the day" I heard over the Intercom. I groaned but then I see my mom talking to the lady who I assume is Mackenzies mother "how about you meet me at my house at 5 so in 4 hours" I told them and they nodded before walking away "hey mom" I yelled waving from a distance "oh Johnny this is Melissa, Mackenzie and Juliannas mom" my mom said "who" I questioned "me" Annie rolled her eyes "your name is Julianna" I laughed "don't mess with me right now Orlando" Samir threatened "that isn't kind Annie" her mom said "I don't really care" Annie said
"We are going for a snack at this pizza dinner we rented" Kenzie's mom announced "great" Annie sighed "Julianna" She scoffed astonished "I'm going to sit in the car" Annie walked away clearly pissed "Kenzie has something for me I have to go" I stuttered walking away "Mackenzie Mackenzie" I said knocking on the glass "yes Johnny O" she said "you never gave me a goodbye kiss" I smirked "Well you never came to find me" she stated. "Well now you can give me a-" I was cut off my mom yelling "John we have to go Come on" she yelled "I'll see you in like 10 minutes" I smiled walking away
At the pizza place
"Do you know who exactly is here" I asked "Mackenzies siblings and our family" she said as we walked in on a big group of teens "you know she has a boyfriend" the blonde one said "you know I'm going to make her very uncomfortable all day because of that right" a brunette said "y'all are assholes" Hayden said "the one and only" the blonde flipped her hair "so when is she- oh hi" the blonde said noticing us "my name is Maddie" she I introduced to everyone "oh I'm Jacob" the younger brunette said "Hayden" he raised his hand from behind them "well hello. This is Maddie.Lauren and Johnny" the lady said "cool" they all said smiling
"I feel Luke my pants are too much" Jacob said out of nowhere "shut up" they both said to him "I was just verbally attacked" he said to the 2 police officers in the back "why are they here" I asked "1- to make sure I don't cut this off, and 2- for everyone's safety" Jacob said pointing to his ankle where a probation bracelet was placed "I'm pretty sure I'm safe" Lauren scoffed "I wouldn't bet on it. Me and Kenzie get angry really easily" he winked before walking back to his seat "he'd exaggerating. He just wants to make you scared" Maddie assured us "he's literally the biggest baby on the planet" Hayden rolled his eyes
"Well there's Kenzie and Annie" Jacob said pointing out the window "do I have to be here" I heard Kenzie yell "Mackenzie shut up" her mom yelled "yeesh it was just a question" she said opening the door "you talk loud" Maddie said "I try" Mackenzie said "we'll go sit down your making me anxious" Melissa said. Mackenzie sat on the end next to Jacob and I sat by Maddie Z and Maddie O. "I feel Like there is tension between people here" Jacob said smirking "I hate you" Mackenzie mutters "no you don't" he smiles at her. "So Mackenzie any new friends" Jacob asks and she turns red
"Nope" she said "anyways do you still like sausage on pizza Jacob" their mom asked "no not anymore" he said "since when don't you like sausage. You used to beg for it" Mackenzie smirked and all her siblings laughed "you're playing with Fire" he said "and your playing with ice" she said "so Mackenzie have you written any songs lately" her mom asked "nope. I'm over the whole music faze" she said looking at me slyly "considering you sang in your music class today I don't find that true" she said and everyone ooohed "if you already knew why would you ask" she snapped "I just wanted to see" she said and Mackenzie flipped her off. "Hey come get soda with me" Jacob said pulling Mackenzie aside.
Kenzie POV
"You can get soda on your own" Kenzie questioned "I wanted to apologize" he said "how do I exactly tell mom I'm bi" he asked me as I took a sip of my drink "you-cough cough" I choked and now everyone is looking at me "do you like someone specifically or you just wanna tell her" I asked him "She gonna find out sooner of later so why not do it now" he said "do it in private she'll be less mad" i said and he nodded "wanna sing a song with me" he asked "sure" I smiled as he sat at the piano "you know if you know" he said and everyone stared at me "omg I know what to play" Annie said whispering to Jacob and he started playing Praying a song we all wrote in 8th grade (let's pretend even tho I love Kesha so much)

"That was something" the cops said "I'm hungry" I said hopping down from the stage where the piano was "I forgot my drink over there" I said since everyone was staring at me. I went over to see my cup missing "who steals a cup" I whisper to myself "a person who needs an excuse to talk to you" Johnny whispered in my ear making me jump "You could have texted me" I say and he now looks stupid "what you don't like my partly raspy voice" he said which made me giggle "I just want soda leave me alone" I said playfully "I'll have plenty of time to talk to you tomorrow" he winked "also you are sitting with me at lunch no excuses" he said walking away
"I'm bored" Jacob texted me "I know right. Wanna write a song with me" I texted and he nodded "can I get your keys please" I asked my mom "no" she said "I just need paper jeez" I rolled my eyes "can I see your keys" Jacob asked and she gave them to him "how does he get them" I asked "he's trustworthy" my mom said "he's on probation" I mumbled "I think this is twin favoritism" I said "yes it is" she said and Hayden laughed "no need to be laughing you come after her" my mom said and everyone laughed at him "I don't see the paper" Jacob said "you're a fucking idiot" I said standing up and walking towards the door
"Are one of y'all going to spot us. We aren't supposed to be out together" I reminded one of the cops and they both came running "how can't you find the paper I asked him "I wanna show you something" he said pulling out his phone and opening his pictures
"Do you think this would be good to post" he asked and I punched him in the shoulder "yes you look very nice now can we go back inside please" I said grabbing 2 notebooks and 2 pens.
As we walk back inside everyone is talking then they all stop and look at us "way to not make us feel self-conscious" I said. As we sat down I saw my mom with her photo gallery open "imagine having a mom who has no filter" I told Jacob and he choked on nothing "that would be crazy" he said and we glared at our mom "sorry" she put away her phone. I gave Jacob the free notebook but I ripped out the page me and Johnny made slowly so it won't tear in half. Once I was done everyone was looking at me since it made a loud noise "sorry" I said folding the page in half and slipping it in my front pocket
They all started a conversation back up when the noticed I wasn't paying attention. I came up with a whole song but Jacob looked like he was still working on his so I just started drawing whatever came to mind. I've always had a soft spot for art even tho I don't personally think I can draw. I've noticed the chatter has gone down and I looked up to notice everyone staring at us "y'all are quite today" Maddie said and we just rolled our eyes and went back to our notebooks "they aren't plotting our death" Hayden said looking over to our books "Mackenzies drawing and Jacobs writing something" he said but I just ignored him
"I think I'm going to write another one" I told Jacob and he nodded doing the same "so you're both writing songs" Hayden asked an we nodded "here I'm about to listen to music" I said handing Jacob an air pod and pushing play on a random playlist "are you ok" Annie asked "yeah" we replied instantly as if we were waiting for someone to ask. Dear insecurity started playing and we used to love this song. Once the song finished he showed me his book and he was done with both songs and so was I so we switched. I was going through his song and autocorrected his spelling and punctuation since he's comma crazy
"I really like this one" he said showing me a the first page of one of the songs I wrote a long time ago "you aren't even supposed to be looking at that" I rolled my eyes "here's mine" he said throwing a red notebook at me "when was the last time you wrote in it" I asked "a few months ago" he said "I want you to look over this one" I said snatching the book from him and opening to a song I wrote this morning "what are y'all looking at" Maddie whispered try it to get everyone's attention "just going over some work nothing major" I shrugged "songs. You're looking over songs" she said clapping gaining everyone's attention
"We are doing a sibling bonding exercises" Jacob said "y'all definitely don't exercise" Maddie laughed snatching the green book out of Jacobs hand "dude" he punched her in the hip "bitch" she dropped the book and I picked it up "got 5 seconds" she said "it's my book" I said "don't worry I totally don't know about your little boyfriend over there" she whispers in my ear "fine take it" I said standing up "do the dance game with us" Hayden said to all of us and we got up and but was stopped by my mom "no. We have to wait for Jacob to eat" our mom said "I'm not hungry" he said "medical records say-" she started "omg fineeeeeee" he groaned "medical records say Kenzie is supposed to be dead but you don't hear me bringing that up" he mumbled and we just laughed
"I'm invisible" I flipped my hair but I felt my phone buzzing in my back pocket. I looked up because I felt someone staring at me and I saw Johnny motioning for me to check my phone. I felt my phone buzz again and I was another text from Johnny but they were all super dumb

"Mackenzie when was the last time you did dance" my mom asked "like 2 year ago" I said confused on why it matters "can you still do acro" she asked "let's see" I said going onto my hands into the handstand and lucky for me I still stretch so it's not too hard. "I feel like I'm going to break my back" I said walking around still on my hands "ok I give up" I said falling into a split "how long was that" I asked " 45 seconds" Johnny said "thank you thank you" I bowed
