"Do you think she's going to be alright?" Aph worries.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure." Lucinda says. "It seems like some kind of minor possession spell."
"Possession!?" I screech. "What do you mean, possession?"
"Kind of self-explanatory." Lucinda murmurs. "But something took her body for a short while."
"Kim?" Aph bends next to Kim. "How are you feeling?"
"Uh...uh..." Kim sighs squeaky and sits up. "Better, actually."
"Can I get you anything?" Aph tries. "Water...or, food?"
"No, no. I'm fine." Kim assures her. "I just got a small headache."
"You're recovering well for someone who was just possessed only a few days ago." Lucinda says.
"Thanks." Kim replies. "I guess? Um... Is the guy I attacked all right?"
"Uhh... Attacked?" Lucinda asks.
"I wouldn't call it attacked..." I snicker. "More like giving us an opportunity to laugh our heads off at my big brother."
"Garroth said I attacked his brother Zane. And yours, Violet." Kim says nervously.
"Ohhh, so that's what he told you, huh?" I giggle.
"Oh, I'm so embarrassed!" Kim cries. "I owe Zane an apology to this...devilishly handsome face!" She squeals, almost fangirly.
"Uh...Kim?" I ask, very concerned for her now. Nobody ever uses those words in the same sentence. "Are...you okay?"
"I'm always okay when thinking about Zane." Kim swoons. "Especially his soft lips..."
"EW, TMI!!!" I scream, covering my ears.
"Kim!" Lucinda slaps her a few times. "Snap out of it!"
"Uh...huh? Huh?!" Kim looks wildly around. "What happened?"
"Hmm...Interesting." Lucinda says softly. "Seems you're still suffering from some lingering effects of the possession."
"What does that mean?" Kim says, her voice gaining in pitch. "Am I going to attack Zane again??"
"Attack isn't the word I would use for..." Aph mutters. Lucinda starts coughing loudly. "Uh...oh, right, yeah, um. Let's keep you away from Zane." Aph says quickly. "At least until we can figure out what's going on with you Kim."
"Oh...Okay." Kim sighs. "Just...tell him I'm so sorry."
I nod. "I will later."
"Kim. Do you remember how this happened to you?" Lucinda asks.
"No." Kim says. "Honestly. I don't. Last thing I remember before this was going to sleep with you guys. And then I woke up with everyone looking at me and a huge headache."
"All right." Lucinda says. "Well, get some rest for now. Kim, maybe Aphmau, Violet and I can take you for a walk later to get some fresh air."
"Thank you guys so much." Kim says gratefully. She lays down and closes her eyes tight, making me wonder just how bad her headache is.
"Aphmau, Violet. A word." Lucinda gets up and gestures for Aph and I to follow her. "We need to keep Kim away from Zane." Lucinda says when we're a safe distance away.
"Well, there's not gonna be problem with that..." Aph starts.
"Zane's upstairs, spooked out of his mind!" I giggle, barely containing my laughter.
"He's...shocked someone took that much interest in him." Aph admits. "Though, it isn't going to his head, he just...is very uncomfortable with things right now."
"Good. Then, at least he'll stay away from Kim for now." Lucinda says. "If it was a possession by spirit, that could be bad. For both of them."
"What else could it have been?" I ask, kind of dreading the answer and silently apologizing to Kim for being thankful it wasn't me. That would be a whole LEVEL of awkward between me and my brother.
"A potion?" Lucinda replies to my question. "A spell? Honestly, I can't tell given the fact that I don't have any of my own potions. Even if I did, it's too late to be able to trace it at all, so I'm just going off her symptoms."
"Let's hope those leave soon." I mutter. "I don't think Zane will ever be the same if this keeps happening."
"I see." Aph says quietly. She genuinely sounds concerned about my brother, and I feel a bit guilty that I don't. I mean, he's fine! I know he is. I can hear him complaining upstairs.
"We'll just have to keep a close eye on her then," Aph finishes.
"Hey! How are things going?" I turn and see Garroth and Aaron coming down the stairs. "Any update?"
"She's still going in and out of it." Lucinda tells them. "But she's getting better. For now, all we can do is just keep an eye on her."
"Well, that's good to hear. I guess." Garroth says, sounding relieved. Part of me can't help but wonder if Garroth has a little crush on Kim. He sometimes acts more like a five-year-old, but he's extra goofy around Kim more often than not.

"All right. So... There are a few things we need to do." Aaron says.
"Like what?" Aph asks, stepping towards Aaron.
"Well, we're running out of food---" Aaron starts.
"OUT OF FOOD? WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" I holler.
"You really like saying that, don't you?" Aaron asks.
"Thank you for noticing, yes."
"Anyway, we also need a few supplies." He continues.
"That's right, I almost forgot!" Aph exclaims. "We kinda need food to survive."
"Do we? Do we really?" I sigh, flopping on an open couch. "The store's just... so...far..." I wave aimlessly towards the door.
Aphmau laughs, but Lucinda looks excited. "This would be the perfect opportunity to get Kim out of the house."
"All right!" Aaron says. "Well, then, I guess it's a road trip!"
"Uhh, I'll stay back with Zane." Garroth says. "I want to make sure he's okay."
"I'll stay too." I jump in, linking arms with Garroth. "Zane might need family support."
"Good idea." Lucinda agrees. "Well then, let's get going!"
"Right!" Kim chimes in, spooking everybody.
"When did you get up?" I demand.
"A few minutes ago."
"Let's leave, I'm getting hungry!" Aphmau complains.
"For potatoes?" Aaron suggests.
"Ooooh, those actually sound really---hey!"
Laughing, he runs out of the lodge with Lucinda, Aph and Kim. I follow them towards the door to lock it behind them, but Garroth's voice stops them. "Wait up guys! I'm going to move my car into the garage!" He heads outside and gets into mummy and dad's car, pulling it into the garage while Kim, Lucinda, Aph and Aaron speed off. Garroth and I go upstairs to find Zane listening to the radio, trying in vain to get it to work.
"What you up to, baby brother?" Garroth asks cheerfully.
"Uggghhh.... Anything but him." Zane mutters under his breath.
"What 'bout me?" I ask, popping out from behind Garroth.
"You're fine." Zane admits. "As long as you don't bring anything weird into the conversation. You're my only sensible sibling."
"Awwww!" I squeal.
Zane rolls his eyes. "What do you want, Garroth?"
"I wanted to see how things were going." Garroth replies. "Did you manage to find a radio station?"
"WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE?!?" Zane yells.
"Okay, sheesh!" Garroth says. "Just asked a question! Speaking of questions---why exactly did you come up to the lodge?" His voice turns sneaky and sweet.
"Why? Why else?" Zane replies. "I came here to help Aphmau."
"Huh? Aphmau?"
"Yes."
"Me too! Riiiiiiiight?" Garroth presses.
"NO!" Zane yells. "WHY WOULD I DO THAT?!? You're a grown man!"
"What 'bout me?" I ask again.
"You're a grown woman-thing." Zane says. "Plus, you can take care of boob-brain better than anyone."
"Awwww!"
"Yeah, but..." Garroth says sadly. "I'm... Zane, did I do something to---"
CRASH!!!!
We all jump. "What was that?" I squeak.
"It must be---Zane, Violet, hide!" Garroth yells. We all scramble around the room, ducking into hiding places.
