Reader's POV
It was a regular day at UA, well, for most part.
We had another unexpected field trip, that we did not prepare for at all, so that was normal.
I walked along with Kirishima and Mina to the bus.
"What do you think we're doing today?"
Mina asked with excitement.
"Most likely the normal battle training,"
I said.
"Probably,"
Kirishima agreed.
Only did I know...
We would march into hell itself.
At first, everything was normal. Mr. Aizawa explained to us what we would do.
We would be separated in groups and would have different obstacle courses to do.
I was partnered with Tokoyami and Tenya.
Two of my favorite buddiesss.
And we had a course in a cave.
Tenya decided we would take turns on who goes. One of us would be the "villain" the other the "hero" and the last a "trapped civilian" as we went though the obstacles.
I was the trapped civilian first and Tenya helped me find a place to be hidden, since he was the villain first.
It was at the end of the obstacles so it could take Tokoyami some time.
But he went throughout the obstacles with Dark Shadow.
Tenya did his best to distract him.
Then, we heard a crash.
Everyone kept going, it could've just been an accident made by one of our classmates.
But that wasn't the case.
My eyes widened as I listened for anything.
Tenya and Tokoyami froze as well.
"Do you think there's villains? Like at USJ?"
I asked with worry.
Tenya nodded firmly.
"I'll go check. You two stay here,"
He said.
"No, Te–"
"Let him go... it'll be a better plan,"
Tokoyami said.
I sighed and nodded, slumping back down.
Then, my eyes went wide along with Tokoyami's. Dark Shadow covered him as the ceiling collapsed.
Me, tied up, I could only try to use my Quirk to protect myself.
Vines swirled around me and I covered my head the best I could.
"Y/n!!"
Tokoyami shouted, panic flooded his face as we reached for each other. Boulders blocked my sight from him and soon, everything was dark.
×Tokoyami's POV×
My expression fell.
"Y/n!"
I called the name relentlessly.
I couldn't see Y/n, too many boulders had fallen.
I grit my teeth and looked up once the falling of rocks calmed down.
I started to search for Y/n, moving boulders and rocks.
"I can't lose you... please..."
Then, I heard a booming voice.
"So, desperate~"
I clenched my hand into a fist and looked around.
Once I found the source of sound, there was no going back.
I would get Y/n back, and this villain wouldn't stop me.
They're going down as well.

3rd Person POV
Shoji held Tokoyami back as Aizawa and All Might searched for the student.
The poor boy just wanted to see the h/c haired student.
He didn't fight against Shoji, but he looked around, his eyes searching frantically for the student.
Tenya took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry, this wouldn't have happened if I didn't leave..."
He muttered.
"No, you didn't know, it's fine,"
Midoriya said, he was looking as well.
Bakugo grunted, he was blowing up rocks.
"If we don't find Y/n, then we can buy pretty flowers for their funeral."
"Pretty?"
Mina asked, snickering.
Bakugo sent her a glare.
Tokoyami sucked in a breath.
He had hurt the villain to the point it was begging for life.
He would've done it again if that meant he could kill the villain.
Aizawa looked at the crippling vines and started to get rid of them.
He frowned once he saw his student.
Y/n was hurt badly by the boulders, but it was lucky they used their Quirk on time.
All Might picked the student up, checking the pulse.
He let a sigh of relief once he felt it.
"Let's get her to Recovery Girl,"
He said and rushed out.

Tokoyami sat by the hospital bed, letting out a sigh.
Y/n hadn't woken up at all, and he was getting anxious.
He held onto Y/n's hand, scanning their face to give him hope.
The doctors didn't say there was a chance of death...
But they talked to All Might in a whisper without letting Tokoyami hear, there could be more.
A few of the classmates entered.
"Tokoyami,"
Midoriya said in surprise.
"You still haven't left."
"How could I? I need to see Y/n awake and smiling."
He said, which was unusual of him to.
Midoriya nodded with a soft smile.
Tenya, Ochako, Mina, and Tsuyu were there as well.
They stayed there until they had to leave, which sucked since the girl didn't wake up.

Reader's Pov×
I woke up early in the morning. No one was there, which was good, they didn't have to see my half-awake face.
I looked around, my eyes searching for a clock.
9:49 am
I groaned and slumped back on the bed which once caused me to welp in pain.
As soon as I did, someone rushed in.
"Y/n?"
It was Tokoyami, his eyes wide with worry.
"Toko! You're here,"
I smiled, hiding the pain I just had.
"Are you okay? I heard you wince. Is your back okay?"
He asked.
I tilted my head.
"You're acting unusual. You don't usually worry. But yeah yeah, I'm fine,"
I said with a smile.
He sat down on the couch next to my hospital bed.
"How long have I been here? Did the villains get caught?"
I asked softly, to which he filled me in on everything that happened after we got attacked.

"Wooooah! I'm immortal?!"
I exclaimed.
He deadpanned and shook his head.
"You could've died,"
He said with a sigh.
"Yeah, but I didn't,"
I shot back.
"And you could've."
"I didn't though."
"Oh be quiet."
"Right, right."
And then we were silent.
"Toko, what would you do if I did die?"
I asked softly.
"Grieved. For a while. Then I would've known you'd be joking about this if you were alive so I'd smile,"
He told me.
He was now lying down on the couch, facing the tv.
"Hm... so you wouldn't visit my grave every day?"
"No, I would."
"And you'd change the flowers?"
"Of course. But let's... not talk about this. For heavens sake, I don't want to think about that."
I nodded slightly and smiled.
"I'm glad you care about me Toko,"
I chuckled.
"Why wouldn't I? I care about all- well, most of our classmates,"
He told me.
"Most?"
I chuckled.
"Of course. You think I care about Mineta?"
He asked with an eye roll.
"Anyway, you're the one I care for the most."
My face heated up and I looked down.
"Really? Why is that?"
I asked. Okay, I wanted to know if he liked me. Likeeee... nah nah, he does.
"Because I like you, and if you weren't such a dumbass, you'd know that already,"
He said.
I smiled widely.
"I like you too, Toko, you know,"
I chuckled.
He sat up and smiled.
"I'm glad you do,"
He said brightly.
Dark Shadow looked between us and the said something to him.
His face turned red.
"Shut up,"
He muttered to his friend.
I chuckled.
"What'd he say?"
I asked.
"Nothing important,"
He said before leaning over and kissing me softly.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him back.
And so, we stayed like that.
Just in each other's arms,
Happy at last.
