Ok! What will happen now?! I dunno...well I do but I'm not telling ya gotta read!!!

Alex's POV
"What's wrong, guys?" Alec asks, curious.
"The rouges want to battle!" Em blurted out.
"What?!" Me, Alec, Brendan, and Oscar ask, together, shocked.
"Yes. They are very upset that you killed their leader. They have found a new leader, the beta and the leaders friend, wants revenge. He proposed war, and you know we can't refuse them." Joe explained.
"Wait, why can't we refuse them?" I asked, not getting it.
"Sweetie, it's complicated. We killed their leader, on their turf too, and all they want is a battle, that's like letting us off really easy! It's either we take it or suffer the consequences." Em explained, getting teary-eyed.
"What are the consequences?" I asked.
Something told me, I shouldn't have asked, but I had to. I need to know these kind of things or they'll eat my head up.
"They'll kill our leader." Em said, bursting into tears, Joe tried to comfort her.
My eyes widened as I stared at Alec, our leader. He looked at me with sad eyes. I shouldn't have asked. Sometimes I should listen to the voice in my head, I thought. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
"Ok. Well I'm definitely not letting that happen, so the only other option is to battle them. When, where, what time, I need details." I said, getting down to business.
"Ok, all kids 18 and over, will be fighting. Since we have two Lifest's on our side it-" Joe started off but was interrupted by Alec.
"Woah! Alex is not going to battle! She's only 17 and has absolutely no training whatsoever. That's not good! Plus she could easy die, she's as breakable as human." Alec said.
"I'm the other Lifest. We can't do anything without each other, because we have no training! And I'm trained in martial arts, karate, and ninjutsu! I can defend myself!" I snapped back.
"Alec she has a point. You can't use your Lifest powers without her. You two have no training. I can teach you both and Alex can get defense training." Zane said.
Alec sighed and ran a hand through his hair. I guess he picked that up from me, I smiled at that thought. He looked torn, and it was worrying me.
"Ok, but I want two people with her the whole time, go it?" he said, agreeing reluctantly.
"Bells and Olive! They wouldn't mind, it's their job anyway." I tell him.
He nods, ok with that. I smiled satisfied. Bell and Olive would fight for us, definitely. As Alec heard my thought, he smiled. I smiled back at him.
"Ok, I need details. Who, what, when, where, why, how and a battle plan. Let's go!" Alec says, in a business-like voice.
"Who, the rouges, want a battle, what, January 3rd, at 9:00am, when, at a field outside of town, where, why because they want revenge for their leader, how, with hand to hand combat, no weapons." Joe informed.
We nodded, taking in the information. Ok, hand to hand combat was ok with me, I really didn't want a gun or another weapon in my hand, they felt wrong. I didn't really want to hurt anyone either, but it looks like there isn't a way out of it.
"Ok, we need a battle plan and-" Alec started but I interrupted.
"Wait! Shouldn't Bells and Olive be here too? I mean, they could belong to another pack and maybe they can help." I said, thinking it out.
"Good idea, can someone go get them?" Alec said, and asked.
Zane went to go get them, and Alec kissed my head, for the good idea. I smiled at him, and he smiled back, kissing my head again.
"Are the rouges, particularly strong? Should we worry or something?" I asked, not really getting it.
"Not as strong as us, but there wolves are in control, which means they aren't afraid to do anything. It makes it harder to win because they are willing to do anything to win." Alec explained.
Bells and Olive came in, and we told them what happened, everyone filled them in, and they took the information, pretty well. That's good.
"Ok. We'd love to help, and our pack, the Fire Pack, would love to help, since our packs are friends, and our dads are the Beta and Omega." Bells said, formally.
"Wait, your the betas and omegas daughters?! Sheesh, would it kill ya to tell me?!" I yelled at them.
"Sorry! Did I mention as soon as we turn 18 we get to be the beta and omega?" Olive said, apologetically.
"No, but thanks for telling me!" I say, harshly.
"Which pack do I belong to?" I ask confused.
"You don't really have a pack, but since I'm your mate, you belong to my pack." Alec says.
"Oh, ok. Anyways, shouldn't we at least make sure the alpha's ok with it?" I ask, wondering if it was ok to not tell him.
"Yes, we will ask officially, tomorrow, and that will be the day we make our battle plans. Till then, we have to tell everyone else." Alec explains.
"Ok, let's go make the announcement. Everyone downstairs!" I said, taking Alec's hand and going downstairs.
"Everyone to the living room!!!" Alec and I told the pack.
They immediately went to the living room. Alec and I went to the stage and made the announcement.
"The rouges want a battle!" Alec stated, bluntly.
This shocked and surprised everyone. They were not expecting this. Then again, who was?
"I want all 18 year olds and up, to fight. The rest of you will stay here." Alec continued.
A few of the pack, whined, groaned, and protested. They didn't like the idea of waiting here while their pack and mate were fighting. I could understand their point of view but they had to understand ours too.
"Enough! This is not debatable!" Alec said, in his 'I'm the alpha and you have to do what I say' voice.
This shut them up, though, I could see some were still not happy. I tried to reassure them.
"Don't worry. We have two Lifest, and they have rouge wolfs, who do you think is gonna win?" I say, knowing the answer.
This seemed to calm them down and reassure them. They were agreeing with us, so I didn't see any reason to use force. Alec was the muscle, and I was brains and the both of us were the heart.
We gave them the details and how we were gonna do this. Who, what, when, where, why and how. We told them that we would ask the Fire Pack for help. No one seemed to refuse or have anything to say. We were about to end it when I thought I should tell them.
"Bells, Olive, come here." I tell them.
Alec, Bells and Olive give me weird looks but I ignore them. They come on stage and I was in the middle, Bells on my right, Olive on my left.
"These are the soon to be beta and omega of the Fire Pack." I inform them.
The pack seems genuinely confused and curious. It's funny because every wolf is like that, even the ones that know. They're all waiting to see what I say.
"They are my cousins." I announce.
This caused many different emotions to come from them. I see, happiness, confusion, curiosity, weirded, surprised, shock, amazed, amused, and many more. They all have different emotions on, I laugh and Bells and Olive join, looking at the pack.
"Yep, shocker, huh? Yah, long story. This is all you guys need to know, though." I say, after stopping my laughing.
They seem ok with this, and then we end the meeting. I go over to Suzy, and she's with Mary and Jess. Jess and Mary go to talk to the adults and I pick up Suzy.
"Hey, Suzy, have you met my cousins? Bella and Olivia." I tell Suzy
"Bells, Olive this is my sister Suzy." I tell them.
"We know, we met her already." Bells said, guiltily.
"What?! Not fair! How come you get to see her and I can't!!" I yell, causing some of the pack to look at me, weirdly.
"Sorry! I know it seems unfair but it was out job! We couldn't tell you, sorry!" Olive says, guilty.
"Ugh, forget it. Do you want to stay here or go back home? We have space, don't worry." I ask them.
"We'll stay, if it's ok. We need to talk to you, and catch up. We'll go call Max, Andy, Sue, and Lisa (Olive and Bells guardians, not really parents, by blood anyway.)" Bells says, taking her cellphone out as Olive does the same.
"We need to get clothes and stuff too." Olive says.
"Oh! I need to get some stuff too, I'll come with you. Tell me when your leaving." I tell them.
They nod as they call their guardians. I'm gonna have to face Stephanie and John again. Not good, I bet they'll try to make me come back. Well, not happening. They can try for all I care but it's not happening.
"Is big sister gonna play with Suzy?" Suzy asks, cutely.
"Yes but I have to go do somethings right now. I promise we'll play, but later, ok?" I tell her, rubbing our noses together.
She giggles, then I put her down, and she goes to play with some of her friends. I see Alec, talking with Brendan and Oscar and head towards them. I sneak up behind Alec, like a little kid, trying to scare him. I jump on his back, and cover his eyes with my hands.
"Boo! Guess who?" I say, laughing at my rhyme, and my childishness.
He laughs, obviously amused, with Brendan and Oscar who are also laughing like crazy. I laugh along with them. It feels really good, even though I've had bad time, I can still laugh, which I think is the coolest thing about me.
"You didn't guess who!" I whined, still on his back, covering his eyes.
"Hmmm," he pretends to think.
"Alec!" I whine playfully, smiling.
"Alex!" Alec whines in the same tone as me.
I laugh as he pulls me off his back. He puts me right in front of him, laughing along with me, Brendan and Oscar.
"Why'd ya do that?" he asked, and stopped laughing.
"Felt like it." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
He smiled at me and I smiled back, happily, and willingly. My stomach started to growl, indicating that I was hungry. Alec laughed at that, amused.
"Hungry?" he asks, amused.
"Just a little. Let's go." I said, grabbing his hand, and leaving Brendan and Oscar, who had started up a conversation with Bells and Olive.
We went to Alec's dorm, and no one was there. I guess they were all talking downstairs. So we were all alone. I shook the thoughts in my head, and headed to the kitchen. The time was about 3:00pm, so figured I could make dinner and let it cool. It would be easy on Em.
"What do you want for dinner?" I ask, Alec.
"Your making dinner?" he asks, coming into the kitchen.
"Yah, I figure it'll be easier on Em. What you want." I told him and repeated.
"Spaghetti and meatballs!" he exclaimed, like a little kid,
I laughed and started boiling the water. This could be a good way to get to know each other. Might as well start now.
"Since we're talking about food, what's your favorite food?" I ask him.
"Pizza, yours?" he answers and asks.
"Don't really have one, but pizza is on the list." I answer.
"Favorite color?" I ask, waiting for the reply.
"Deep blue." he answers automatically.
"Why?" I ask, wondering why.
"'cause it's the color of your eyes." he answers, immediately.
I blush even though that's the cheesiest line ever!!
"That's so cheesy! You couldn't have come up with anything better?" I asked.
"I know, but it's true. The brown eyes didn't fit you, they made you look normal. These eyes make you look different, special." he says, coming up to me.
I smiled at him, happy, that he thought so highly of me. I mean he really loves me! I've always wanted someone like that, but I never met anyone even close.
"Music?" I ask, continuing.
"Wait, what your favorite color?" he asks,
"Black." I reply.
He frowns at that, upset. I shouldn't have done that. He knows I'm emo and doesn't like it.
"Music?" I continue.
"I like lots of bands. Green Day, Sum 41, Three Days Grace, Evanescence, Skillet, Good Charlotte, Muse, Red, and more." he says.
"I love those too!" I said, glad we had something in common.
"Cool. What's one weird thing about you, that no one knows?" Alec said, out of the blue.
"I sometimes wonder, why I was born. I mean everything has a reason, so what's the reason for me being born?" I tell him.
"Hmmm. Well that's easy. You were born, to be a Lifest, my mate, Suzy sister, your parents daughter, and much more." he answers.
"That doesn't answer my question. Whats something know one knows about you?" I say and ask.
I turn around and start to make some spaghetti. (AN: I can't cook squat so this may not be right, sorry. I can't even boil water, I'll burn it, if that's possible.) I work, and Alec thinks on his, a little. It seems he's having trouble. I turn around and stare at him, thinking.
"Ok, I always use to think that I would never find my mate, till I met you." he said, wrapping his arms around me.
"Really?" I asked, a little shocked.
"Yah, I'd look at Brendan and Claire sometimes and wish I had that. I wanted a mate really badly, so I could protect her and love her." he said, looking down at me.
"Wait, Brendan and Claire are mates?" I asked, confused.
"They thought they were, but they were wrong." he explained.
"Ooo, that must hurt." I said.
"Yah, it did hurt him, but he's ok, now. They seem to be good friends and nothing wrong. Claire found her real mate, Mark, and even stopped aging." he said.
I nodded, understanding. Even with mates it's possible to get confused, or mixed up. It's not always right the first time, like me and Alec, I realized. I was now lucky I had Alec. I hadn't stopped aging but he had and the was the other Lifest. There were two things that proved it.
"Oh, um, Alex?" Alec said, uncomfortably.
"What, what's wrong?" I ask, wary now.
"There is this process that mates go through to become official mates, in way, I guess. Um, there are 4 stages." he starts off.
"Ok, what are the 4 stages?" I ask.
"They don't have to go in order, but the first one is always first the rest go in any order. Stage 1 is when mates look at each other for the first time, they feel this pull, indicating that they are mates. Stage 2 is when a mate marks the other, a hickey, I guess, you call it. Stage 3 is marriage, they have to get married. Stage 4 is um we have to um." Alec explained but got stuck.
"Spit it out!" I said, anxiously.
"Make Love!" he spit out.
Oh! I have to have sex with Alec?! What?!
"Your kidding right?" I asked, hoping he was.
"Uh, no, sorry." he said, looking at me, seriously.
"Oh, gosh." I said, putting my head in my hands.
"Wait! Before you freak out, just know that it's ok to take your time. I won't rush you, I seriously don't mind. Your only 17, so that's too young by law, and we can't even get married yet. I was just informing you." He told me.
Oh, thank you! I don't have to do it now! I mean, I did imagine me and Alec were gonna have kids someday but not anytime soon.
"Oh! Ok, well it's fine then. I mean, of course I want kids, just not anytime soon, maybe after we get jobs and settle down." I tell him.
"Yah, it's ok. I just wanted you to know." he said, walking up to me, and kissing my forehead.

Alec's POV
Ok! One more obstacle down, a ton to go! I'm making progress! Note the sarcasm!
Well at least she didn't freak out, for long. And she's ok with doing it eventually. I just had to tell her so she knew what was gonna happen in the future! I wanted her to know so she wouldn't freak out later, and we were alone and that rarely happened!

Ok! That was a sneak peek into the future a little! I won't do it all in this story! I'll make a squeal, maybe!
