She approached him and smiled as he looked up from the table
"Hey how did it go?"
"Good....actually really good"
He frowned, "And?...."
"What?"
"What happened? What did you talk about?"
"Nothing really......I invited her to dinner tonight"
He nodded, "That's good"
He eyed her a bit concerned as she just stared into the distance completely lost in thought.
She turned her head a bit and there was her little sister dancing on some sweaty guy's lap, tears burned in her eyes but she just looked away sharply and held it back
"Can we go please?"
He nodded and threw his arm around her shoulders, the crack in her voice told him how emotionally wrecked she was at the moment
"I'll reserve us a table at the hotel for tonight"
"Thank you"
They past the front desk and made their way to the car, Mitchell helped her in and made his way to the drivers side. He started the car and put his hand on her thigh while they drove away
"I just can't believe it's come to this.....I mean that could've been me had you not helped me.....what was I gonna do with my club anyway.....I was destined to be a fucking stripper"
"Tess I know you're upset but please don't talk like that.....it's unfortunate but she's lucky to have you now"
"Yeah after how many years of ignoring the fact that she exists, I'm the older one I should have shoved my pride up my ass and looked for her.....who knows how long she's been doing this WHO KNOWS what she's been doing in desperation for money"
"Baby relax....you can't turn back time and change any of that okay so stop blaming yourself and look to the future.....with me and Ana and a sister to reconcile with"
Tess wiped the frustrated tears from her cheeks and nodded, "I don't know what I'd do without you Mitchell.....you saved me from myself more than anything else"
"And you did the EXACT same for me.....look what you gave me"
He took her hand and kissed the back of it never taking his eyes off the road, "The future looks bright for us and now we will make sure it's bright for you're sister"
She nodded with a determination bubbling in her heart that they will once again be a family again filled with happiness and love
"Oh do you see what I see?"
She looked around and frowned in confusion when he stopped and pointed to a dress shop
"It's a shop....where you buy clothes", she mocked him by saying it slowly and softly as if he was stupid
He rolled his eyes and laughed, "I mean look at that dress displayed in the window"
"It's gorgeous"
"And it will look AMAZING on you"
"No Mitchell please stop buying me clothes"
"I'm gonna keep buying you everything you need because I want to and you deserve it, we're going to get married and it will be you're money too, we'll buy a new car, a new house in LA and we'll raise our daughter among our friends and family. In Sedona AND LA"
"Mitch"
"Nope no arguing COME ON"
He jumped out of the car and practically dragged her out of the car with him, when they entered the shop Mitchell instantly knew exactly what he wanted
"Can she fit that silver dress in the display window?"
The manager looked to Tess and smiled leading the way to the changing rooms, after a while she came out with the dress on. Mitchell was walking through the store looking at all the other extravagant dresses when he heard her clear her throat behind him, he had to do a double take when he saw her, his eyes were blown wide as he stared at her body
"WOW"

She pulled the dress off the rack and put it on looking herself in the mirror, sighing heavily she sat down and started fixing her make-up
"Oooooh someone's got a date"
She smiled then rolled her eyes, "Yeah right"
"Oh come on who's the lucky guy?"
"My sister"
"Ew"
"You haven't seen her yet....she's hot", Rose laughed and took the wig off and started curling her hair
"You know if John finds out you took that he's gonna pop the vein in his head that he thinks we can't see because of that weed tattoo"
"Well I'm just borrowing it, I can't go to dinner with my sister and her fancy ass fiance looking like a bum"
"So he's rich?"
"I guess....."
"Mind if I tag along?"
"Jess you are terrible...this is my sister"
"Hey if he's rich family don't matter"
"Which explains why you are not talking to any of YOU'RE siblings"
"Look who's talking....you JUST talked to you're sis in HOW long and you're already bragging about having an up on me"
Rose stood up and twirled around, "How do I look?"
"Like a slut"
She put her hands on her hips and glared at her best friend, "Thanks"
Jess laughed and tackled her with a big hug, "Kidding.....you look hot"
"Thank you for covering for me.....I'm starting to think without each other we'll NEVER have a break"
"That's what we get for working for an ass"
She nodded and waved as she went through the back door, she knew as soon as John saw her he would dig up some job for her to do. He was a huge asshole with no respect or sympathy for any other human being but himself....in fact she didn't even think he like himself
Tess had written down their address and hotel name on a piece of paper and pit it on her mirror. She had forgotten to ask about it since she was in a hurry to get away from that situation even though now she would have to face it, she looked down at herself as she crossed the dark road sighing.
"I guess it's better than the lingerie"

He bit his lip and kept staring at her, "Do you know how sexy you are....you drive me crazy"
She had straightened her long hair knowing how much he loved it. She walked to him and kicked her leg up putting her foot on the arm of the chair he was sitting in. He looked from her leg to her eyes and leaned in kissing her on the knee
His hand grabbed on to her ankle and slowly ascended up her leg, when his hand reached her ass he stood up and picked her up in the process and pushed her against the door
"Mitchell"
"I want you baby....so bad"
"I know.....mmmm.......but we promised"
He kissed her neck and ground against her, "Fuck the promise....I miss you"
"It's important to me....."
He sighed and rested his forehead between her breasts, "You're right"
"It'll be more than worth it I promise you"
He put her down and grabbed her waist pulling her to him and hugging her tightly, she pulled back and smiled at him
"I should go to the front door and wait for Rose, she should be here any moment"
As they walked out of their suite he locked up and followed her to the elevator, when they entered he hugged her from behind and pushed the button. He started placing open mouthed kisses on her neck, his hands moved to her hips and she covered his hands with hers and tilted her head to give him more access
They parted as soon as the lift stopped and the doors opened, Tess walked ahead swaying her hips and smiling to herself practically feeling Mitchell's eyes burning through her

Rose walked up the street and couldn't help staring open mouthed at the stores she past, she was officially in the rich part of Las Vegas. She stopped in front of the huge hotel and took a deep breath
"ROSE"
Her eyes fell on a figure that quickly approached her
"Rose....you came"
Tess took her in her arms and hugged her tightly, Rose hugged her back without hesitation
"Why? Did you think I wouldn't come?"
Tess shrugged and took her hand leading them into the hotel, Rose looked at the hotel's interior and gasped. Tess chuckled and laced their arms together
"That's a nice dress"
Rose scoffed, "This is an old dress that I fished from the hangers at the club....look at you're dress are you kidding me? Looks like he spoils the shit out of you"
Tess chuckled and shrugged, "He likes to and I'm not complaining"
"I bet"
They walked into the restaurant, Tess spotted Mitchell and waved at him. He stood up and kissed her holding onto her waist then he looked at Rose and smiled politely
"Mitch this is my sister Rose and Rose this is my fiancè Mitchell"
They shook hands then he pulled Tess's chair out for her while Rose sat down opposite them
"So Rose....it's nice to finally meet you I've heard so much about you"
Rose raised her eyebrows looking at Tess, "Really? Wish I could say the same"
Tess shrugged, "That's my fault....I'm sorry"
"So what happened to Vince?"
"Uh I.....don't really know I haven't spoken to him in a long time"
"Oh? Didn't he own half you're club?"
"Actually Mitchell bought it from him.....can we not talk about Vince please? That is in the past after all"
"Sure....."
A waiter saved the situation by bringing them their menus then taking orders
"So how did y'all meet and how long has this been going on?"
Mitchell rubbed Tess's thigh and smiled at her deciding to answer
"We met at the club and we've been together for almost two years now"
"Wow.....and already engaged?"
Tess eyed the young woman carefully, "Yes and actually another thing....we have a daughter together"
Rose choked on her water and started coughing and banging on her chest. Mitchell rubbed his face and put his one hand over his mouth
"YOU? HAVE A KID?"
"Rose this is a classy place control yourself"
"Oh I'M SORRY am I embarrassing you? How could you not tell me this? Keeping an engagement from me is one thing but bringing a kid into the world and not bothering to tell me is another kind of low"
"That's rich coming from the 'artist' turned stripper"
Rose scoffed and stood up abruptly, "You know what I knew this was a mistake....."
"Don't you dare run away from me", Tess now also stood up challenging her
"You're not my mother and you never were"
"Then stop acting like a toddler"
"Oh fuck you"
"Rose....ROSE"
She stormed out of the room and Tess jumped up also
"I'll be right back"
Mitchell nodded and sat back in his chair closing his eyes tightly hoping the sisters would resolve their problems.
Tess chased after her sister determined to talk her out of her childish behaviour
"Rose STOP BEING A BABY AND TALK TO ME"
When she finally caught up to Rose she grabbed her arm and pulled her back
"LET ME GO"
"Stop struggling please and just listen....we can't go back to ignoring each other Rose"
"Why didn't you come looking for me sooner? Why now?"
"I was struggling Rose....I had a lot of problems during my marriage, after my divorce, BEING IN DEBT....why is all of this now my fault....you made no effort to come see me"
"Well you're the older one"
Tess scoffed, "That's a crap excuse....you JUST told me not to act like a mother"
"Why didn't you tell me about you're daughter?"
"I wanted to come here and talk to you and tell you about Mitchell and Ana"
"Ana?.....you named her after Mimi"
Tess nodded and smiled thinking of her grandma
"Look I appreciate the effort Tess but let's face it I'm washed up...I don't have the drive to be an artist anymore and what about you....do you think for one second that man in there isn't just like any other man in the world?"
"He's a good man and he loves me"
Rose laughed and shook her head, "Men are all the same Tess....don't be naive here....Vince hit on me the first time he met me.....do you think that guy in there wouldn't do the same if you left him alone with me?"
"Stop"
"He's hot I think I might give in this time"
Tess had to laugh at that, "If you're trying to hurt me or make me jealous....it's not gonna work okay I'm over that....I trust Mitchell and in the love he has for me"
"Love? Seems really convenient that you were on the brink of losing you're club and then the rich knight comes along and saves you"
Tess stared her down then smiled, "I'm just THAT lucky...."
Rose rolled her eyes and crossed her arms making Tess cross her arms too still not taking her eyes off the younger woman
"I am a stubborn bitch I can stand here ALL NIGHT......just admit that you're jealous"
Rose sighed and sagged her shoulders, "I'm not jealous"
"You know what? You're a grown woman even though you're not acting like one....I came here to find you and now that I have there is no reason to stay....tomorrow morning I'm going home to my daughter....you can come with us and I'll find you a job or you can stay and keep doing this but I'm not gonna stand here and take this shit from you"
Rose stood dumbstruck as Tess turned on her heels and elegantly walked away. Tess felt a tear sneaking it's way down her cheek and cursed the blasted thing, she had done the right thing she knew it because as much as she wanted to help her sister it had to be a mutual thing, there was no way of helping someone who didn't want to be helped.
She walked back into the restaurant and smiled as she saw Mitchell sitting alone at the table waiting patiently, she walked forward and stood next to him.
He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up quickly to see Tess with a few tears in her eyes
"Hey...what happened?"
She just shrugged, a big sob escaped her making Mitchell jump up and pull her into his arms
"I wanna go home tomorrow morning"
"Okay....let's finish dinner then we'll turn in"
"I'm sorry, you bought me this dress and reserved a table now we have to go to sleep early cause I can't communicate with my sister"
He had to smile at that, "This dress will go on our honeymoon and serve it's purpose trust me"
She giggled and leaned back kissing him on the lips softly.
Rose watched the exchange from the doorway of the restaurant and smiled, her sister deserved this happiness and who was she to criticize her. She was a bit envious but maybe going to LA and finding a job would change her life too. She stepped outside into the cool night air and whistled for a cab
