(Y,N) PoV
Iana and Oryx were supposed to arrive today, I went early this morning to meet them because Six asked me to show them the base but when I reached his office, he told me to come back later. While I wait I went to the lab and help to build the new gadget, Raven and Yun were already there helping James, even Ela was helping us.
"So in how many days do you think this shit will be available for testing?" Yun asked
"If you quit asking questions it will be ready before you know it!" Raven yelled at her
"Yes the less you talk the faster we'll be done" James said
"Guys, stop fighting" I said
"Sorry..." They said and I could tell they were not happy to get scolded by me
Raven has changed, she usually punches people that are constantly on her back, and from punching people to just yelling is a big step for her. James doesn't care at all but I know he just wants Yun to shut up so he can focus.
"Hey, remember you have to see Doc today about your eye" Ela suddenly said
"Hey yeah, you think you look cool with that eye patch but you look more like a homeless person" Raven said and I sighed but Ela laughed
"I must be going deaf because I didn't hear when someone asked for your opinion" I smirked at her
"Ouch!" Yun said then Raven stopped what she was doing. I stood up and now we were staring at each other, she was angry and I was smirking
"Hey, not fighting inside the lab!" Mira yelled.
"Enough! I'm taking (y,n) to see doc" Ela grabbed my arm and pulled me out of hell because I was about to lose one of my eyes for real.
"What were you thinking idiot!" Now Ela was the one scolding me
"She won't do anything" I said and she sighed
We headed to the medical bay and Doc checked my eye and thankfully it was fully healed, before leaving Doc asked me about the eye patch and he also told me that I looked like a homeless guy and when we left the medical bay she laughed, I was just looking at her. She has laughed at me twice now.
"I'm your girlfriend idiot, I have the right to laugh" She said and I rolled my eyes
"Please (y,n) report to my office" We heard Six voice through the speakers
"You are meeting up with the new operators?" Ela asked me
"Yeah, want to come?" I asked her and she shrugged so I took that as a yes
Ela PoV
When we arrived at Six office I saw a white-haired woman and a strong man sitting in front of him, the woman caught my attention because she was looking at (y,n). I was just staring at her hoping she could notice that the one she is looking...is my man.
"Welcome. I would like you to meet Iana and Oryx" Six said.
"Hello guys" (y,n) said and I just waved at them
"I have never seen someone so pale, I assume you must suffer from Albinism" (y,n) said looking at the woman and she stood up looking in his direction
"Is really good to meet you sir, and don't worry I can assure you it won't affect my performance on the field!" Iana said as she extended her hand to (y,n)
"You are here so I know it won't be a problem. By the way 'Sir' is just that guy over there" (y,n) looked at Six
"Those guys are going to show you around so (y,n) I leave them to you" Six said and (y,n) nodded
I thought I had to worry about her taking (y,n) away from me, I was happy to know that (y,n) wasn't even interested in what she was saying, Oryx is quiet but I could tell he is paying attention to the tour. We show them the training grounds, entertaining area, the gym, the cafeteria and then we took them to their rooms. Oryx decided to stay rather than coming with us to the lab.
(Y,N) PoV
Iana's life seems interesting, she has been to space and all but even though it's interesting I prefer to stay in the ground. I was more worried about Ela because she hasn't said anything during the tour; I believe she is acting like that because of Iana so I'm just going to drop Iana with James and the others while I talk to Ela. Once inside the lab, we headed to our spot.
"Hey guys, this is Iana" I said and they just looked at her then approached James
"Can you keep an eye on her while I speak with Ela?" I asked him and he nodded. I took Ela to an empty computer lab
"What's wrong?" She asked me
"Are you jealous?" I asked her
"Why would I be jealous?" She quickly yelled at me
That's Ela just being Ela, she yells at me when she knows I'm right. The least I can do to reassure her was to lift her chin and gently kiss her forehead.
"You are the only one for me because you are unique, Ela. I don't want you to think that I'm going to leave you because she went to space" I said then she hugged me and I hugged her back.
Ela PoV
When we left the computer lab I remember we forgot to show them the armory, I decided to show Iana the armory and asked (y,n) to stay and help his team to build the gadget. I wasn't mad because (y,n) just reassured that Iana didn't mean anything to her. We arrived at the armory and when I showed her where we must put her belongings after the mission I leaned in on the door blocking her path.
"(y,n) seems like a nice person, don't you think?" I said and she looked at me
"Oh yes, he is! That's why I respect him a lot" She said and my eyes widened in surprise because that's new...
"And why is that?" I asked her
"My mom was kidnapped during the year I first went to space. She was kidnapped by a gang that sells the organs of the people they take when I was told that I was so worried that I might not be able to tell her about my experience. By the time I came back she was safe and sound, Cerberus had something to do with her rescue" Iana said
Iana stopped telling me her story, can't say I blame her, I know it's something very private. Suddenly my phone vibrates so when I took it out (y,n) sent me a message asking me if we wanted to eat with them.
"Why don't we ask (y,n) for details on your mother's rescue" I said as I helped to get up from her seat
(Y,N) PoV
"I AM TIRED!" Yun said as laid down her body on the table's chair
"Can you sit down properly? Yun" Raven asked nicely
"You can sit at the other side with the captain" Yun said but Raven sits down on Yun instead
"Move you are heavy!" Yun said, I was watching how Yun was struggling on trying to move Raven but she couldn't move her
"Ok Raven that's enough" I said and she stood up giving Yun a chance to take a sit
I noticed Ela arriving with Iana and they were talking, Ela was smiling so she must be enjoying the conversation, I'm glad Ela's is being less aggressive she smiles more often unlike the first time I met her. I waved at her trying to get her attention and when she noticed me she came and took a seat next to me.
"Hey, dude! You know, I was wondering if you happen to remember rescuing a woman from a gang that sells organs" Ela asked me and I gave her a confused look
"Yeah I remember, why?" I asked confused
"Do you remember her name?" Iana asked
"Her name is Nora" I said after a few seconds
"That is my mother" Iana said and the rest of us looked at her in shock
"We wanted to you to tell us how you managed to rescue her" Ela said
"Sure why not" I said
Flashback
Fifteen years ago
Cerberus was finally getting the recognition it deserves, we started to take jobs from all over the world, most of those jobs are as bodyguards, and reinforce security systems. It was better than nothing but during our jobs, one of my people find out that in the Netherlands people were disappearing so I wanted to investigate that, so I asked Yun to do it for me.
After a few minutes she found out who were kidnapping people, a group that called themselves "True Sons" a group of human traffickers that sells people or their organs. Yun showed us their base of operations.
"Get ready guys, we leave in five minutes" I said and everyone nodded
"Good Job girl" I patted Yun's head and she quickly grabbed my hand
"I'm not a dog!" She said
Time Skip
Netherlands
"What do you have?" I asked as I looked around while Markus scouted the place that was in front of us.
"The place is a mess but they managed to make it a fortress" Markus said. The place was heavily guarded, and by the way, they were armed I could tell they were doing this for years...but that will stop now.
"I'll hack the cameras" Yun said through the comms. I took my phone out and searched and found the hostages in the basement, I counted three, one man and two women.
"Listen, guys, I'll have Yun to cut the power in the area so once that happens Markus will cover us and the rest of us will go in, our priority is to safe the hostages" I said and Denis and Eva nodded but Raven didn't say anything.
"Those bastards deserve to die and you know it" Raven looked at me with her arms crossed, her strong German accent caught my attention, normally you wouldn't pay attention to that but yesterday her accent was British and the day before yesterday was French. We don't know where is she from and Yun doesn't want to investigate that...She is hiding her origins very well so I might as well stop focusing on that.
"Nobody ever said something about letting them escape. Which reminds me...your challenge here, Raven, is melee only" I said
"Are you fucking serious?" She said and I turned around
"I thought you were good" I looked at her from over my shoulder
"How about you do it too" She said and I shook my head
"I thought you were good" Raven said and my eyes widened in surprise, she just gave me a taste of my own medicine...
I had the rest of my men in the area then we started the attack, even though we walked into a fortress we walked over them like if they were nothing, I was making my way to the basement, I knew there were snipers but I don't have to worry about them because of Markus. I saw two guards in the basement door and before I could kill them they were shot in the head.
"Too slow honey" Eva said and I went to open the door but Yun stopped me from doing it
"Use my drone! please use my drone!" Yun yelled
I took a drone out of my backpack and when I turned it on the drone headed inside, I saw two men waiting at each corner of the door, and two already waiting for someone to open the door. This new drone has the ability to disable any kind of weapon. Once the drone disables the weapon, the drone exploded.
I entered the room and threw a knife at one of the guys in front of the door then I took a flashbang and threw right at the end of the stairs, I took my pistol and rushed in, I jumped almost at the end of the stairs and shot the two guys behind me and then the last guy.
"I thought you agree to play with Raven" Yun said but I ignored her
I was checking the area for traps. Everything was clear and then checked every cell but only found one hostage.
"Cap we found a convoy a few miles from here" one of my men said
"Take care of the hostiles and keep the civilians safe" I said. I cut off my communications with them and I was wondering why they left one behind.
"We came to rescue you, everything will be fine" I said and the hostage turned around.
I saw a black-haired woman, she was crying but as far as I could tell she wasn't injured, her eyes widened in fear as she was apparently looking at someone that was standing right behind me, I stomped on his feet then moved aside and turned around and punched him on the stomach...I should've killed him but I didn't want the hostage to see that.
"Do you have a name?" I asked her as I approach her
"N-Nora" She said.
"Well Nora, time to go home...pretty sure someone is waiting for you and they must be worried" I gave her a reassuring smile
"Somone has to stop those bastards" She said
"Don't worry...the true sons days are over" I said and she sighed in relief
Flashback Ends
"After that, we escorted her and protected her for a while. Who would've thought we saved the lead engineer on the Huygens Atmospheric Structure Instrument that landed on Titan." I said amazed
"I hope those bastards are dead" Ela said
"They died, I made sure of it" Raven said
"I really appreciate what you did" Iana said
"The only thing that changed from back then is Raven" I said and Raven looked at me
"Come on, I wasn't that bad" She said
"Yeah...Sure..." Yun and James said and Raven wanted to punch them but she stopped when she saw Yun covering her face with her hands
Time Skip
We were in our room, I was waiting for Ela to get out of the bathroom. I was looking at the ceiling when the door of the bathroom opened, I couldn't help but to see over that direction.
"It's a shame we have to get back to work tomorrow, I was starting to enjoy it" Ela said, she was only in her underwear and I was blushing so hard that I had to look away
"Once the white masks are dealt with, we will enjoy peace" I said then suddenly Ela grabbed my chin and pulled me into a kiss and when she pulled me away she was smirking. I knew what she wanted...but I wasn't ready so I just hide beneath the blanket.
"I-I-I'm not ready Ela, I'm sorry" I shyly said and she just sighed. She stood up and when to put on some clothes and headed to sleep in her bed.
She must be mad now and probably must be thinking that I'm not a man, the case is that I don't want to do it...not until we deal with the white masks...So I guees I screwed it up. But I was also glad I got to meet Nora's daughter...those are the things that made me smile. When someone is thankful towards you for something you did years ago...it's just priceless.
