"Charles, I can't do this. I'm too scared." My driving test's coming closer every second and it's creeping me out. My legs bouncing while Charles stops the movie. He puts his hand on my leg and gives it a soft squeeze to relax me. I look to him and he stares deep in my eyes with a sweet smile.
"Amor, you'll be fine. We practised a lot together, you're a natural."
"But this does not work at all. I'm so stressed." I keep ranting on and on in my head, just 1% comes out of my mouth, Charles knows it. He knows what of an overthinker I am. "It's tomorrow and I'm not ready."
"Come on, we'll go with my car. Practise some more."
"Your Ferrari?!" I exclaim in disbelieve. That horse goes from 0 to 200 really quickly, every touch on the gas is 40 kilometres per hour added. But, I've always wanted to drive his beauty. He's very protective over his baby, if he really lets me drive it means he thinks I'm great with it. His Ferrari almost means more to him than any person roaming the earth.
"My Ferrari." He smiles at me and stands up. I hear his car keys jingle and I know what will happen now. His head pops around the corner and he holds his keys out. "Ready?"
I stand up and take his keys.
"I'm not paying if we crash," I warn him and he just laughs and pushes me outside.
"They'll give me a discount. But we won't crash, we've raced together you can keep it out of the walls."
"True."
