"Toni Toni." Eissa came to me as Janet picked him up from school.
"Hey baby boy." He came and hugged me showing me his picture he drew in class.
"Babe look how he drew yo head." Janet laughed cause he gave me a big ass head.
"Toni, mommy bullying me. Let's beat her up."
"Ok." He stood in the chair behind her as I pushed her down in the couch getting on top of her the he put her in a little headlock. Janet laughed as I poked her sided she held me with one arm grabbing Eissa with the other.
"Now who beating who up?" Eissa laughed as she tickled him, she tried that on me but I showed no emotion.
"Oh you a tough one huh? We'll see about that."
"Janet I swear on yo head if you try to dump me in that pool and I just got my wig touched up I'm gonna hurt you in a way that you'll be walking behind me like a dog in a leash."
"Toni don't pull that, you did that before man."
"Yea so put me and my baby down, before Eissa have to see you act like a baby once I take yo candy from you."
"Ok."
"And apologize for laughing."
"I'm sorry for laughing Eissa."
"Good girl." I patted her on her head grabbing Eissa's hand going upstairs.
"Ian no damn dog."
"I know, if you were you'd be outside with ya cousin tiger."
"Eissa go outside with tiger, ima be with you in a minute." She point still me giving this look as if I was in trouble.
"Ok." He went outside and I skated upstairs...
Janet
"Toni Jackson!" I went upstairs looking in each room for her
"Oh Toni baby, don't worry you gonna be alright. I just wanna talk." I crept to the last room seeing if she in there. She jumped on my back kissing my cheek.
"Damn linebacker ass."
"I love you."
"I bet you do." She got down kissing me.
"Give me another one." I held on to her as I backed her up into the corner pinning her hands above her head.
I moved down to her neck, kissing and sucking on her neck. She moaned softly in my ear.
"I wonder do she miss me."
"She who?"
"You know who." I let my one of my hands go as the o her still held her wrist, sliding down into her jeans.
"J don't start."
"Start what baby, looks like she's started already." I slipped my fingers in feeling how wet she was her back arched causing us to become chest to chest.
"Momma I thought you said you were gonna talk to her." My eyes damn bear popped out of my head I slid my hand out moving off of her.
"See well I uh, I thought you were suppose to be outside."
"Tiger ran in here and Toni don't like him in her house."
"Baby this is our house so if you want him in I'll grow accustom to." Toni really making my heart melt like this.
"I love you Toni." He hugged her legs as she picked him up hugging him tightly
"I love you more baby. How bout you and me forget your momma and go have fun." He grabbed her handing walking with her.
"Like I said before y'all can have each other! I don't need y'all, y'all need me."
"Girl shut up and come on." She dragged me behind her as I fussed
"Momma you gotta share, I wanna walk with a pretty lady too."
"Aww thank you sweetheart."
"Get your own pretty lady Eissa she's mines."
"No she's not she's ours."
"What you know bout ours?"
"I heard you say what's mines is mines, what's hers is mines, and she is mines. So she mines to, share." Toni was over there cracking up as eissa explained.
Sometimes I forget how old he is and that he be listening.
"And this is funny because?"
"He looks just like you when you be giving an explanation on why it is the way it is and it's gonna be that way because you said so."
"Oh how you know me so well."
"Oh Janet."
"Lord why did she have to swing by this way."
"Momma is that that woman."
"Hey Toni baby, Janet, and my favorite little one." He looked at her making a face then hid behind Toni.
"Toni she scares me."
"Damn I'm that ugly."
"Gots to be." I shrugged as Toni shook her head.
"You know what like Jackson, keep that same energy when you don't see me as often."
"Otay." He said it like he did not care at all.
"Toni can we go play."
"Yea, lead the way." He walked down the hall to the room she had just for him which was jointed with a playroom. She'd did everything but asked me to move in with her but in a way I didn't have to because she already had half of my stuff in here.
The fact that she gives so much and doesn't expect anything in return really poses a question for me. Who had her, who hurt her, and who didn't do what they were suppose to when it came to loving her.
She loves but doesn't expect to be loved back. She cares but doesn't expect to be cared for back. She does all this and more and yet not ask for a thing, I don't get it. Who fucked her over, who gave her this mindset that love was a one way street. There's a lot I didn't know about her but wanted so much to get inside her head, as I was already inside her heart. I knew it had me all over just like I had her all over.
I needed to show her different that the way she was once loved, it'll never happen again. That the way she once treated, she won't be treated that way anymore.
"Tichina Girl, look at you looking like you looking, like a sexy chocolate drop."
"Cute the crap, what you need Damita."
"Damn hoe I'm trynna give ya ugly ass a compliment and this what you do."

"I'll be that." We paused then laughed she pulled me in as we walked downstairs.
"What can I do for you boss."
"Uh we ain't at the god forsaken place, could you watch Eissa for me. There's something I need to show Toni."
"One insult from him and he is out."
"Kicking him out Toni's house oh wow."
"You know what I mean, but I'll do it."
"Thanks sugar foot, I'll give a 200 dollar raise just for this."
"Well baby then I'll keep anytime."
"Nah it's just this once."

"Toni get dressed I'm taking you out!" I yelled upstairs
"Girl quit yelling up in my house."
"What you want me to do whisper, you a bionic woman."

"Toni, momma no! Don't leave me with her. Can I go to grandma please momma please." Eissa came running down looking as if he was about to full blown cry.
"What did I ever do to you."
"You the one that took my penny."
"Really Eissa, it was just a penny."
"But it was mines, I fount it."
"If it's so much of a problem here take my penny."
"No, I want a dollar."
"You know what, you're just like your momma picky picky picky."
"Don't talk bout my momma."
"Tell her Eissa and I am picky that's how I picked Toni."
"And I love Toni." He grinned.
"We all do, I just wished she'd believe it and understand that we do."
"What you mean Janet? I know y'all love me."
"I know Toni but sometimes— look ill explain it on our date just go get ready."
